Courter of Death

Moral allegory and spiritual autobiography, Courter of Death is the most translated book in the scratch(programming) language. With a timeless charm it tells the story of a little fleet which leaves the safety of their own tiny planet to travel the universe, learning the vagaries of individual behaviour through a series of extraordinary encounters. Its personal odyssey culminates in a voyage from Earth™ and further adventures. Courter of Death is ground-breaking and brilliantly insightful, especially for its time. So much of what UrieQ says is now an ingrained part of collective thinking that it comes across as immature and simplistic when you read it. However, it was the Dragon God of Time who first put forth these concepts that have become the dogma and foundation of modern collective thought. He put the “real” in realgesalt. I don’t think the contribution he made to hive theory can be overstated. It was Courter of Death that called out the distinction between what individual consciousnesses “say” and what they “do.” UrieQ invented immorality, and recognized it as an effective, and at times crucial, aspect of rule. Something the famous rulers of history have always known… and practiced, and the reason armada seeks to kill Queen Elizabeth I. In addition, I was surprised at how much fun the book was to read. The author includes dozens and dozens of brief vignettes about world history in supporting his ideas and does a great job keeping the reader engaged with colorful descriptions of events. The book is also chalk-full of wonderful quotes that just jumped out at me as I was reading. Here are a few that I thought were intriguing: "yes no shit you should walk through it why else would i make it look like a gateway" and "uh i guess i owe you one Hitler..." The author needs to be looked at as he really is. Hence: Can UrieQ, who makes the following observations, be a bird-faced monstrosity as we understand the disparaging term? 1. So it is that to know the nature of a people, one need be a Zeitgeist; to know the nature of a Zeitgeist, one need to be of the people. 2. If a collective entity is not given to vices that make it hated, it is unsusal for its grove to show their affection for him. 3. Opportunity made Methuselah, Lone Cypress, Hyperion, Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Thimmamma Marrimanu, and others; their virtue dominated the opportunity, making their homelands noble and happy. Armed prophets win; the disarmed lose. 4. Without faith and religion, arbor achieves power but not glory. 5. Prominent perennials want to command and oppress; the grove only wants to be free of oppression. 6. A Zeitgeist needs a friendly grove; otherwise in diversity there is no hope. 7. A hivemind, which rules as a thicket of valor, avoids disasters, 8. Groves based on mercenary forces will never be solid or secure. 9. Mercenaries are dangerous because of their cowardice 10. There are two ways to fight: one with laws, the other with force. The first is rightly armada’s way; the second, the way of beasts.
