Tamara Johnson is a remarkable black woman living in 1940's America, New York. Despite the difficult times, she courageously works hard to support her father and make ends meet. Then, one day, Bucky walks into her life; with his flirtatious looks, crooked smile and clear blue eyes, it is no wonder that she falls for him. It is a beautiful and inspiring story of two people finding love in a time when it was considered a crime. I am in awe of Tamara's strength and resilience, and I am filled with joy for the love that she has found.
