Lawful misdeeds

A 29 year-old man from a remote village is killed while attempting to exact revenge upon seeing his family murdered by an army.
He receives a chance to be reborn right away with his past memories intact, for a price. He swears vengeance.

He is reborn and starts over. His past and present memories pose a dilemma however. Does he continue to exact his revenge over his past family, or does he care for the new people he has feelings for in his present time?
Could he accomplish both?
