【Synopsis of Each Timeline】

◆ "Maple Fire Timeline"

After the Mu family, descendants of the Northern Star of Light, govern the North Star, the long-planned assassination plot by the Yan family against the Mu family's Northern Star is exposed. Jing Yan and his companions are ordered to go to the North Star to assist the Northern Star. However, they discover that the target of the Yan family's assassination has changed from the Northern Star to themselves. At a dead end, a legendary assassin from the Yan family, covered in blood after killing countless people, appears in front of Jing Yan and the others. Just as he is about to carry out his mission, Jing Yan's disciple, Qing Yan, recognizes him as his long-lost foster brother—Dai Qing.
Dai Qing decides to temporarily betray the Yan family and fight to the death for Qing Yan. Exhausted, he is unable to resist, and when he is on the brink of death, Qing Yan tells him a way to survive.
However, to achieve this method, Jing Yan needs to kill his own lover and cooperate with lies and concealment.

◆ "Chosen by Heaven Timeline"

Dan Feng, who considers himself as an accessory to his twin brothers, with impure bloodline, covered in burns, and extremely ugly, never expected that after experiencing a fire, Jing Yan, the distinguished Fire Clergy who came to take away his twin brothers, would be willing to accept him. In order to continue the bloodline of the four High Clergy, the Mu family arrests Fu Yao and Chui Xue, and sends Chui Xue to the icy and snowy North Star, while Fu Yao is imprisoned in the tower dungeon. Fu Yao, who escapes the dungeon out of concern for her friends, heads to the North Star, where she is aided by Jing Yan, who should be loyal to the Mu family. Fu Yao doesn't understand why Jing Yan would betray the Mu family, and Jing Yan tells Fu Yao a story about himself.

◆ "Dan Qing Timeline"

After Jing Yan leaves, Dan Feng decides to try to find Jing Yan and all the answers through the 'Dao' in a place called 'Peach Blossom Spring.' However, before reaching Peach Blossom Spring, Dan Feng accidentally arrives at the Sanzu River leading to hell, where he meets Cang Hai, Jing Yan's lover, who was killed by Jing Yan's hand.
Dan Feng learns that the reason Jing Yan left is because the Fire Clergy brought him to the timeline where everything began, and the Fire Clergy is the "future Jing Yan." The Fire Clergy is forged from the hatred of the Yan family. Dan Feng wants to know why the person he deeply loves has become a terrifying existence, and he learns that the final hatred that forged the Fire Clergy is—his own death.
