One Day At A Time

September 4th 2017. The day I, Alora Corentin saw him. The day I finally understood what people around me meant when they would say they had butterflies. It was just a small gesture. Something I should've forgotten seconds later. But I didn't. That small gesture has lived in my mind, rent free, ever since.

Wait, does that sound dramatic?

Okay okay, let me rephrase all of that.

I have a crush. And I can't seem to get rid of it. You must be thinking what the hell he had done to make me fall that hard. I hope you didn't get your hopes up because all he did was: smiling at me in the hallways of our secondary school three years ago.

Yet, I still harbour a crush on him now, even after finding out that he was actually smiling at his friend who stood behind me.

Then I found wikihow, which taught me that the only way to get rid of a crush is by confessing.

And this is why I'm currently stood a metre away from his table, in hopes that, maybe, one day, we could be walking into school hand in hand.
