Remnants of a Lost World

In 2032, the world ended in a devastating nuclear war, resulting in the world governments becoming shadows of their former selves. The arctic regions of the world melted resulted in rising ocean levels, and with most of the continents considered dead zones via radiation poisoning, most of the remnants of what remained of the world turned to the ocean, constructing artificial islands or settling on natural islands still above the rising waters.

About two decades have passed and the world has since changed from what it used to be. The governments of the old world are now gone with small remnants all that remain of them. Some reorganized themselves into new small factions while others travel among the seas as ocean nomads. Fighting for resources, weapons, ships, and territory, the world is now in a continued state of war with skirmishes between various small factions and a growing large faction that seeks to control whatever is left of the world.

However for one of these small factions that has since been holding it’s own against attacks and raids from rivals, their future is about to turn into an entirely different reality.
