Synopsis

Are you ready to embark on a new adventure to a high school campus with teen werewolves, where the competition is not between Alpha and Alpha for the territory, but an Alpha and a Sigma- or are they even competitors?

David Matthew, the Alpha-in-training of the Eclipse Pack has been preparing to take over the leadership of his pack and over the disputed Crescent territory by fighting his prime enemies- the Alphas of the Orion and Moon packs. But his expectations are largely subverted when he finally comes face-to-face with the rumoured Alpha of the Moon pack for the first time, Nora Rovery.
_
Nora Rovery has led a mostly secluded life uptil now- scorned by her father, disregarded by her mother and her existence largely hidden from the public eye, under a carefully-crafted web of lies. She has understandably set high hopes for her first day at the new high school- which promptly seems like a bad idea within the first thirty seconds of encountering the school bully, David Matthew.
Come along on this ride with David and Nora, who are born to be enemies, but end up forging their own path, true to their rebel spirits.

This review is soooo soooo overdue ;-; I had to reread some portions to remember the details, but the overall plot was very memorable! I must admit that I'm not a fan of the genre, but I really enjoyed the power dynamics and the intricate ways that they were portrayed. This story was a breath of fresh air compared to all the other werewolf novels that I've tried before. There is really an emphasis on the characterization and the power dynamics. In a lot of ways, I was reading this as teen fiction, from that perspective, I think this story really touched on a lot of things that many others ignore. There's a lot about fluctuating emotions, the power of a simple "careless" phrase, and deeper topics such as suicidal thoughts. Overall, the plot was very three-dimensional as the author takes us through time and weaves through each of the character's stories. To me, it's not the typical werewolf novel, and I didn't read it as such either. Whether you're a fan of the genre and want a new take or someone who's not a an of the genre, I would recommend you to give this a chance! It's really a rollercoaster of a ride through youth.

I just came across this book on a friend's recommendation, and the first 24 chapters have been a breeze, now waiting impatiently for the next one. A story that draws you into the harsh and complicated world of a young girl who seems too good for it :) I am interested to see more of this world now!

Technically, I think the story is five star so far, given that usually my difficulty with time skips has nothing to do with their execution. The beginning chapter confused me a lot, but has also been irrelevant to the -five years ago- tale, so far. I presume that it is unfortunately where life is heading for the characters. My main complaints are mostly related to conflicts with my own definitions of concepts. Innocence never hides anything, because it doesn't know it should. That doesn't mean the naive girl trying to hide things is guilty of anything, but to me she has suffered far too much and been confined too much to be innocent. The 'main' character is a bully, and thinks that's okay as long as the person being picked on is expecting it? Umm... either I misunderstood, or I really hope he learns better along the way. He thinks about a lot of things, but he's very self centered in his thoughts so far. The compliments: Things are written pretty clearly, no confusion over the meanings of phrases or holes in the sentances, even when there are holes in the information the story provides. It's written well. I haven't once noticed a misspelling or structural problem to distract me from the story. And if those are there, then the flow of the story is pulling it along quite well. Luck in the rest of the tale, may comfortable days and peaceful hearts be obtained.

You know I'm not a fan of most werewolf stories, but this one is actually a very good premise and interesting one. The writing is on point, the development is clean, and the world background is very vivid.

Whoa... The story narrated while casually weaving the plot through time - five years ago, and now, kind of like watching a drama. One character is introduced in the real time, then the story goes in the past to show how they entered the lives of the MC's. There are secrets and conspiracies going on, and the author also evokes so many different emotions with each episode! Am writing this review at 15 chapts only, and really excited to see how it goes! Quite an interesting experience so far! This is my first time reading a female lead story, and I know this might be an unpopular opinion but I quite like the character of David! 🥳 Will be awaiting the next chapters eagerly, to see what this leads to!!

Okay so can we just talk about how sweet the FL is!! So far, David seems quite intense - both in his love and rage, as seen in the first chapter and in his rivalry in the later ones. Robin seems quite the skeptic but I feel like he's gonna be a traumatised kid underneath the tough facade. :) The Moon Goddess is like a mother figure of sorts, but I wonder what her plans for Nora are. Excited for more characters to show up! p.s- do I even need to say that I hate her dad already ? *insert eyeroll emoji*

Interesting book so far. One that takes a step away from the traditional werewolf books by introducing a new type to the pack type- Sigma and what an interesting girl she is! Someone I can honestly relate to you a lot of respects. Very well written by the author. Good overall story details thus far as well. Can't wait to see how the relationship dynamic plays out. David better make sure he can take of Nora because I already really like her.

I started reading the story thinking it'd just be another addition to the werewolf genre, but it turned out to be a masterpiece! For real! The first chapter itself hooked me. I really want to know what happened to Nora now. Wonderful work, author!
