Splice of Envy

All Hell breaks loose when the world is shattered and its fragments are held together by strands of energy. If that wasn’t bad enough, monsters make their way up the chain of fragments to destroy what’s left of humanity.

Hope seemed lost when after 3 years of a losing the war, the Moon shatters. As if a miracle was sent by the heavens humanity received a gift. People all across the strands began to manifest powers. These powers manifested as one’s greatest desire turned to strength. Finally humanity seemed to push back and reclaim territory.

After 28 years of fighting, a Treaty was signed to create the borders between humanity and the monsters. For five years this treaty was honored. That is until a group of rogue gift users start to attack humanity. Each user had one thing in common… Their Gifts were named after the Seven Deadly Sins. They were deemed cataclysmic curses that were too dangerous. As such anyone reported to have one of the seven forbidden gifts were hunted down and executed by Crusaders, the strongest gift users humanity has to offer.

This is a story of how 16 year old orphan Liam Dermot who grew up without the Moons gift finally received his “gift.” The only problem being that his “gift” turns out to be one of the seven gifts, “Envy.”
