Synopsis

Auralia is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor at her late father’s failing dojo. She’s one payment away from losing everything her father built, where her childhood memories live.

So, when the chairman of Ezra Holdings wife, Maria Ezra, comes to Auralia with a proposal of being her son’s bodyguard, Auralia cannot help but agree to the proposal. In exchange for protecting her son, Alexander Ezra, for one year Auralia will not only get a six figure salary but she’ll also get the title deed to the dojo’s building, allowing her to save the dojo.

There is one problem however. Alexander can’t know that Auralia is his bodyguard. Thus Auralia has to marry the man, acting as his wife while secretly protecting him.

An arranged marriage is not something she wants and her husband-to-be makes matters worse when he hands her a contract with terms to which she has to follow in exchange for marrying him.

Will she be able to navigate the world of the rich as Alexander’s fake wife without the man discovering the real reason behind her marrying him? And can she keep any feelings from developing between the two?

Only time will tell…

This is a unique kind of story in the romance setting. the plot is good and captivating. The characters are admirable. And the writing flows smoothly with no jargons. It is easy to understand each word and sentence. Keep up the good job, author. This book has a lot of potential.

I love this book from the first three chapters I just read. The book has great potential slipping out of it. A wonderful read and for our FL, I love her already🥰 the hardworking type had always been my attraction. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'd be waiting for more updates.

As the first reviewer, I will give it 5 stars. If you enjoy this type of story, you should give it a try. Since it's still early, we can't say much, but from the premise, it looks great.

Once I started reading, I could not stop. I can't wait to see the kind of guy our ml is when he returns. I can just imagine a lot of drama seeing as the fl is not one to back down easily.

The premise of this book quickly distinguishes itself as unique even among such a saturated prompt: Contract Marriage. Not only do I love the author’s straight to the point yet descriptive writing style, I feel like I really know the personality of the characters and as if they are more than just words on a screen. Also, we haven’t even met the ML yet and the story is still able to yank you in, wanting to know more. I will be keeping up with the story, Author. Good luck on WPC! I have a feeling you will be in the top 10.

I was almost at 5 stars, the only reason I didn't give you 5 stars (I'm sorry boo) is because of the characters. They feel too non-specific and don't seem to have much of a reaction to some of those things. Otherwise, I loved the synopsis and the cover! I might bet some money on you winning the WPC :) I love everything about this, the new take on an old concept and the switching roles of characters. I can't wait for more chapters, because this is awesome. Good luck, author!

Not your typical 'contract marriage' story. In this refreshing twist, our female lead is slated for marriage, but her true role is that of an undercover bodyguard! With only seven chapters released thus far, I'm eagerly anticipating witnessing her in action. I want FL to throw some kicks and punches—yes, please! It's a tantalizing prospect to think about the male lead's reaction when he discovers his wife's true profession. The dynamic of having a wife who doubles as a bodyguard is surprisingly advantageous; their outings won't raise suspicions as people would simply assume a husband and wife spending time together. 24/7 protection + she is your wife, THIS IS SIMPLY GENIUS!

An interesting start - only a few chapters in but am looking forward to how the relationship between the leads grows

This book distinguishes itself through its captivating narrative and beautifully drawn characters. The plot is filled with unexpected turns, each one more compelling than the last, making it impossible to put the book down. The author's deft hand at characterization brings each character to life, their complexities and transformations adding depth to the storyline. Each chapter seamlessly merges into the next, maintaining an engaging pace that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. More than an enjoyable read, it also invites readers to ponder on meaningful themes and issues. It's a rewarding literary journey that solidifies its deserving place in the 5-star bracket.

As expected of a WPC entry, the synopsis and the storyline piqued my interest. The flow is smooth. I have no trouble reading it up to the latest chapter. Some things to fix: The use of commas, and passive sentences are scattered. Show don't tell is somewhat mid-quality. There are still filter words like 'looks' and 'realizes' existing in some statements, which kills the emotions. In FL stories, vivid sensualizing is important. On the other hand, characters are generic. You can add notable trait/quirk/mannerism so that the characters aren't generic and forgettable. Descriptions about important characters should be expanded. I might be harsh at some points, and I'm sorry, but the story really captivated me to read it. It's interesting and I'm looking forward to the twist in it.

This is a fantastic story. The cove is awesome, it is original, and the literary style balances description with directness. I highly recommend it and it surely is one of Webnovel's diamonds. The only thing I would advise is to see an improve in chapter titles as they come off a bit generically at the moment. To the author, I welcome you to check out my original fanfic "Avatar: The Vindicated Avenger" it is a spinoff of "Avatar: Macai's Journey". It can be found here on Webnovel with a quick search. You may want to read the first chapter or two of AMJ to get a feeling of what the first story was like but that isn't necessary.
