Five millennia later, civilization has clawed its way back from the brink, evolving from primal survival to the construction of fortified cities. Ryusui Itsuki, once an ordinary high school student and aspiring scientist, slumbers through centuries until roused by a cryptic voice. Emerging into a world alien to his memories, he grapples with the jarring reality of his situation. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, Ryusui resolves to uncover the truth behind humanity's demise and its unlikely survivors. Armed with his scientific acumen, he sets forth to rebuild civilization from the ashes.
