Excellent writing and I love the plot direction! I would like to give my opinion on your "writer's block". I have noticed a lot of writer's will post "need ideas" , "not sure what direction to go", etc... and the next chapter is crap or you can tell the writer gave up from the writing HOWEVER, the 2 times you mentioned having a problem the next chapter was like "bam face smack" AWESOME chapter. I truly hope you continue through anymore "blocks" because your direction/concept/ideas have me wanting you to complete it. Oh and in my opinion, if anyone takes a jab and says "you need to have X amount of chapters written before you publish" ignore them. Everyone has a different writing process and one of the great attributes of sites such as this one is that you can publish as you write helping you develop as a writer through feedback. However as the expression says "you have to pick the sticks out of the straw" meaning only listen to the comments that help you develop and ignore the ones that make you want to quit. If a comment hurts, it was meant to hurt and therefore is not constructive criticism and will not help you grow. It is not "the truth". "Truth" should make you grow not quit. Sorry such a long comment - Once again, great writing and very enjoyable, original plot direction!!
