For centuries, in a world similar to our own, gods have roamed the Earth by way of vessels, these vessels are known as Effigies. Being the avatar of a god, Effigies have the ability to access the power of the god within them, growing so powerful that some could level entire cities in the blink of an eye.

Ky Keller, a young man of our very world, passed away at a young age. However, to his surprise, his life would not come to an end as he was reborn in a new world, a world where he was the Effigy of the God of Lightning. Not only was he an Effigy, but he was connected to some sort of system: The Companion System.
