Chloe, and Isaac, the man who has become the most important in her life, are powerless in the hands of a sadistic devil. Are they going to survive? Chloe must go back in time and try to unravel whoever behind the scenes is destroying their family lives. When she ends up alone with the two men that are in love with her, she desperately escapes the conflict on the farm and against all warnings moves into the eccentric Mrs Kennedy’s abandoned haunted house in the woods where a family murder took place. Not even Robert, the creepy janitor, could deter her to get away from the situation on the farm.
Zoey, her older sister with her son, Lyle, disappears unexpectedly and she discovers that their lives are in danger. She has to fight to try and save them in time and discovers sinister forces are secretly threatening her family. She is not sure of the full extent of the danger and desperately finds the help of Hunter, a private investigator, that had a special bond with her father. Meanwhile, she fails to make sense of the escalating disturbing phenomena in her haunted house in the woods and starts to bond with her new neighbour, Isaac.
It reads like a mixture of a thrilling detective story with supernatural turns and a psychological thriller all in one with endless surprises and clues for the clever reader.
