Synopsis
James was a hustler who'd succeeded in retiring early, only for the pandemic to ruin all of his plans. He spent two years locked up inside playing video games and watching movies, only to be spiritually abducted just as the situation started improving. Now his name is Jin and he's a part of the Illusion Room Sect. A cultivation sect that creates scenarios for combat-focused cultivators to hone their skills. In other words, fully immersive video games. Will the gaming knowledge of his past life help him succeed in such a cut-throat world? Will he manage to break his two-year pandemic induced dry-spell? And most importantly, will he ever manage to surpass the rank of cannon fodder?

I really like the novel. Its a fairly interesting take on the game developer novel type and is by far my favorite out of the game developer novels i’ve read. Really enjoy how the mc is «interacting» with the cultivation world. :)

nice story, poor dude forced to overwork, people you cant stand still alive because you have to tolerate shit when you're not an op cheater who can survive taking on a sect at level 1. the thing is good,Hope it continue ! love it (read on royal road)

I like this story, it is an exciting mix of adventure and high-stakes action. James, suddenly thrown into a world of immersive, game-like challenges, must rely on his past gaming skills to navigate this new reality. It’s a story full of twists, where the protagonist is constantly pushed to adapt and face a changing world. Keep the good work and consistency :)
First time I saw this concept executed well. Usually its pretty trashy, and lame, but here the MC expereinces and surpasses, difficulties, which I like

It's a really good and fresh novel. basically good grammar which you can't usually find on this page, and a decent plot and characters[img=angry] Why can't more stories be like this

This is really awesome and one of a kind story. I like how the author has not just done game make-game play-game reactions loop and incorporated other elements of worldbuilding tho sometimes it does become tedious to know all that shit...
