Synopsis
Ever since the Awakening granted random people abilities bordering on godhood, the world has devolved into feudal states ruled by the powerful. Alex Bishop has lived under the boot of these tyrants his entire life, and they have taken everything from him. He decided then to use his abilities to fight wherever he could.
But after a mission gone wrong sends him to another world of fantasy and magic, he suddenly has a much bigger fight on his hands. Now, he must learn to use the abilities of both worlds to combat threats that come to stop him from completing his goal.

It's a unique story set up in the fantasy world. And enmity between sorcerors and religious zealots always piques readers' interest. Characters are not one-sided and have goals on their own. The world background is okay for now but please explain more about the Inquisition and the church to add more depth. Like, Rankings and their roles. The writing style is good, too. Well, I hope Alex and Mai stay as close friends even after the end of the temporary alliance.
TBH your synopsis hooked me up, it really was a thrilling fantasy and worth giving a try. I recommend those who are into fantasy genre, give this a try.
