“—I won't protect everything. Although, I will absolutely protect those precious people within arms reach. If it's for the sake of that, I will slay everything.” — Jin
**************
“—Everyone deserves a future, many can redeem themselves, but I've also come to understand that not everyone deserves that chance.” — Jin

Author's Note:
**************
The MC is OP. However, this narrative focuses on his personal growth, delving into his emotional and mental development, his battle against self-doubt, and his relentless journey toward self-improvement.

This novel places considerable emphasis on world-building, intricate character interactions, slices of life, and the nuances of romance. Brace yourself for a staggeringly extensive harem, featuring a whopping 90% of the female cast, along with some original characters. (Refer to the Auxiliary chapters for more detailed information on this aspect of the story.)

Hello the author here, this is my first time uploading a fanfic online so actual criticism will be appreciated. I won’t delete any reviews that complain or whine about things they don’t like since I’m too lazy to. I created this fanfic back in 2020, and it sat in a random folder in my laptop for 2 years. I write fanfics for my own fun and I have a bunch of other unfinished fanfics still on my laptop. Chapter 1 is probably my worst work out of all the released chapters so far (Chapter 12) as of writing this. Since my writing has (hopefully) changed and gotten better over the last two years, I also want to keep on improving. I also continued this as a way to improve my English, grammar, writing and storytelling. I have read a lot of fanfics on this site, great fanfics (In my opinion) left unfinished or abandoned. The rest are okay and a good past time to read, while others are just nearly identical, though, they have their own flavor (I’m not saying it’s bad, just repetitive.) I created this as a way to break away from them, yes, the MC is OP I won’t deny that. If you don’t like what’s in this fanfic, you’re free to leave or drop it. But I wish for you to read chapter 1 and go to chapter 2 and then give me judgement (Until I rewrite Chapter 1), if you like it, then thank you for your future support, if not then drop it and be on your way. My goal in this is to tell the MC’s story, I don’t just want him to go into the world and just start killing anyone who doesn’t agree with him. While a fun read at first, it gets stale, like really quickly. I want to make this into a somewhat realistic romance (In anime/manga/light novel standards) and have some build-up to it. I admit that the first 3 are a bit quick, but they’re not done with their development. I want all of his harem and the MC himself to grow, not just in power. I believe that every fanfic is already an Alternate Universe. Anyway, for anyone who likes my story, thank you for supporting me thus far, and I look forward to creating more in the future, also for anyone giving me actual criticism, I appreciate you. I can learn from that and improve. For those who do not like this fanfic, I’m sorry, I have a somewhat of a plan for this story, if it doesn’t go the way it does right now for you, it probably will never. Thank you @Lykita for pointing out my review isn’t being seen. I was wondering why I couldn’t Pin it.

Deleted my previous review since I've caught up. SPOILER AHEAD. Warning for certain readers: For those who expect to read some sociopath 'chad', 'alpha male', run of the mill MC...you can leave now. Jin (MC) isn't anything like that. He's a normal guy who is given quite an early and lucky start in his new life and doesn't turn power hungry psycho. Now then spoilers. Writing Quality: It's great, Author has stated that they're not a native English speaker but it's a lot better than other novels I've read on this site. While there some typos here and there, it's nothing bad. Story Development: I personally love it. The author has canon and a lot of original plot in it. Adding OCs that stay relevant and are not just one time villains, even having an original plot that involves the Greek Mythology as a whole to an original plot line, I liked it (The Monkai Association, a new faction in Khaos Brigade. Since their leader was involved with the Greek Gods in the past.) Character Design: We don't get much of what Jin(MC) looks like early on, but later on the story we do find out what he looks like since it ties back to his personal backstory. I love his growth throughout the novel so far. He goes into the world quite powerful and doesn't take too many things seriously, he sees it as a game. But one scolding from DDraig and a certain incident at the start of Volume 3 changes his personality quite a bit. Jin isn't perfect and it shows and I personally love it, he has flaws as a person and can't do everything right. I've read too many perfect MCs in novels lately so I like this. Update Stability: Consistent, certain chapter will release later since there's a lot to read. Volume 3 chapter 8 (5 parts) is 77k words in total which is a whole light novel volume which is wild. World Background: Best that I've in in a DXD fanfic. The author has said he'll be expanding on many mythologies, so far the Irish and Greek Mythology have been expanded on. For Volume 4 it looks like the author is going to expand on the Shinto, Egyptian and Norse Mythologies too. He doesn't just mentions it, but the MC goes there and their realm is expanded upon. mini story arcs and plots are in them that may tie into the DXD world as a whole. The harem seems to be very big, a comment by the MC says 47, but it's probably more than that. It also seems like many OCs will join the MCs harem. an example is a Goddess in the Irish Mythology, Goddess Danu. Romance isn't rushed and in the released chapters he has 13 in it so far. Many slice of life and character interactions which I personally enjoy. I love Jin's relationship with both Ddraig and Albion. Jin is an Outer God who will evolve into something else in the future. The one who reincarnated him (Azathoth) seemed to give him these two as sort of support pillars. He uses them on occasion but they have brotherly relationship and support one another. They're also comedic relief throughout the novel along with Jin. I've laughed a lot reading their interactions. Anyway, if you read this...then give this novel a chance, it's a rare gem among the novels in this site.

I found this on Ao3 and recently found out you mainly upload here, so I'll be regularly reading this fan fiction here. Anyhow, to my review. I will put a summary at the very bottom. Of course, this is also just all my biased opinion, so feel free to agree or disagree. Off topic: Firstly, when I first started reading this back in Ao3 (Archive of Our Own) I was kind of put off by the very first chapter, and decided to put it on my backlog, however, in the last few weeks I have gone through and read it all (Including the newest chapters here since on Ao3 only the end of Volume 4 has been uploaded.) HEAVY SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Long: As I mentioned in my off topic section, I felt off reading this since the very first chapter had a seemingly OP MC, and that's been done a hundred times over, however, it's written well, and that kept me going. So, onto chapter 2 and it's a flashback that explained the 1-week time skip which I liked, and introduced many other characters and things. What worried me the most was how the system was going to be handled and if it were going to be riddled with just status sheets and skill sheets, anyway, just stats pages to fill up word count, but by chapter 3 most of the functions were removed because (spoiler) the MC evolved. However, the stats page was still being used albeit not very frequently (And by around Volume 2/3 it's barely used and only seen sparingly.) Now reading a more detailed and revised synopsis tells us a little more on what this is about, also, chapter 1 gives us a snippet of what to expect (World building, romance, slice of life, harem and so on.) The MC, from Volume 1 seemed perfect at the start. However, cracks early on start to appear as he didn't utilize many of his abilities, and then he starts to hear voices and that made it an even bigger mystery for us as readers which I personally liked. However, by Volume 2 and onwards (Especially Volume 3) the MC starts to grow and improve, it isn't in a stupidly fast rate, and as we see in Volume 3 and at the end of Volume 4, he sometimes doubts his own decisions and actions (Because of the events at the start of Volume 3 which force him to mature and grow.) Watching Jin (MC) grow through the entirety of Volume 3 and the 1st part of his character arc at the end of Volume 4 was wonderful. In Elsha or Rudra's words: He needed to learn to forgive himself for what had happened at the start of Volume 3, accept what happened, grow and love himself again. And yes, his first character arc/development phase was just that. Acceptance, and self-love. From the small flashbacks, dream sequences we saw about Jin's personal past, he had stopped growing and maturing before his untimely death, however, upon reincarnating in DXD, he was given that opportunity and he has done wonderfully in that aspect. The people he meets, the friends he made and the lovers he has, they supported him through it, unlike in his past where his parents were emotionally absent, and his one friend abandoned him because it got a bit too much (Although it's a very realistic reason, most of us are not equipped to help someone through trauma.). Here in DXD, he has a great emotional support group. I PERSONALLY think the second and probably final part of Jin's character development is... Moving forward, completely, and breaking away from his old world or self. In most of Volume 5's storyline, the author has shown many side characters moving forward in their lives with the help of Jin or his lovers, or with the help of both of them. (Kurousagi with her own insecurities and doubts, Sekhmet with her husband, and recently, Aine, Rayanre and Yasaka.) Jin has been there and seen them moving forward in life. I can't wait to see the conclusion to his second arc, I will say that it will be definitely be emotional like his first arc (His fight with Sairaorg was definitely emotional, especially his [Queen] chant. It was great.) I read your review, and agree the first 3 girls joined quite quickly, however, the rest of the current harem joins him at a steady pace and with good development between them. I especially like what happened to Yasaka in Volume 5. Now the final part is world building. Honestly, I love it. DXD has been expanded upon a lot, especially the pantheons and factions. Jin still enjoys his school life to the fullest with even some minor characters (His two friends Najima and Kouta.) On the way to getting girlfriends themselves. Anyway, a lot of detail and lore went into the pantheons and factions themselves, so I'm looking forward to more of it in the future. And especially how you will write the future Tensura arc. Short: TLDR: Writing Quality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not many complaints here, the occasional typos, but nothing too serious. Updates: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I mean, it's being updated, there's not much to complain about. Story Development: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I put it in detail, but personally, I love it. A great mix of Canon and Original plot. Character Design: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best OCs I've read about. His growth has been great to follow. World Background: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's High School DXD and it's being expanded upon, and a lot, I mean, it's great. No complaints at all.

Alright you bunch of incels, listen up. I've seen a increase of brain-dead comments lately so I'm gonna say it straight. Since 90% are unintelligent monkey's. This is a story that's going to be told. If you're looking to self-insert yourself into the MC then leave. He won't bang things on the spot or killing random people cause uwu they didn't agree with me. If you want to read incel type novels like that, there's plenty of others on this site. Seeing as how the author won't regulate his reviews or comment section cause he's lazy. I'll do it, if he deletes this then good on him. He does things that seems weird or 'Why can't he do this or that since he's an Outer God'?, Ever heard of story telling? It's to make them interesting, to add drama, to add suspense, it's to tell a story. Reading perfect protagonist becomes stale over time, and you get triggered since your can't self-insert.

Where do I start with this? This review is made after the completion of Volume 4. A forewarning: The early chapters, especially chapter 1 is very misleading. It may seem like a power fantasy SI, but it's not. It's much more than that. Another warning: The MC isn't what many of you refer to as an 'Alpha' nor is he a 'Beta'. He's a normal person, with a personality and wants to do right. He won't fulfill whatever weird fantasy dream you have in your head. Writing Quality: 5 stars. Not much to say in this. As of Volume 4, the author has said he's going to go back and do a lot of edits to correct grammar and mistakes. Before deleting some Auxiliary chapters, he said he wasn't a native English speaker but this is a lot better than what you read on this site. Story Development: 5 Stars. This has been a wild ride. A mix of canon and an original storyline. I've enjoyed it quite a bit. A lot of effort was put into this as far as I can see and many storylines have yet to conclude. Character Design: 5 Stars. Maybe I'm biased but I love Jin's(MC) journey through the world of DXD so far. He may seem like the typical protagonist but cracks start to form quite early on Volume 1, more in Volume 3 and a small conclusion in Volume 3 near the start. He's no perfect MC, he has his doubts, troubles and opinions. Mentioned by a certain someone, he's a kind person through and through. He was born that way both in his past life and in the world of DXD, but he isn't a pushover. He tries to see the best in everyone at first even if they try killing him, but as a character development point, becomes a little jaded from Volume 3 and up, but still stays the same. This was mentioned that he was taken advantage of at times in his past life because of this kindness. Anyway, his development so far has been a joy. Both mentally and emotionally maturing at a decent rate. Update Stability: 5 Stars. Not much to say. Author updates quite regularly and gives some updates when he can't release at the usual rate. World Background: 5 Stars. The world of DXD is expanded upon a lot. Through the little things in Kuoh, the school or even other Mythologies. So far, the Irish, Greek, Norse and Shinto mythologies have been expanded upon by a lot. This also adds in many OCs. The author has said he would add the Russian/Slavic mythology as well as the Egyptian so I look forward to that. Other points of interest: His relationship with Albion and Ddraig is great, they're essentially like brothers. They support Jin a lot. Other characters in the novel as he does have friends and Interactions outside his massive harem. The romance isn't rushed and is developed at a good pace, however, the author mentioned that the first 3 did join rather quickly. Everyone else joins at a steady pace. A lot of slice of life and character interactions. I also like the comedy, it's made me laugh a few times. Many coming from DDraig, Jin's classmates in school and the like. Final thoughts: A hidden gem if you can ignore and bypass the misleading 1st chapter. You'll read a great DXD novel on this site.

When I began the first chapter.. I thought it'd be shitty like some of those direct OP MC novels.. But seeing how long the chapters were... I continued reading.. And I have to admit.. This was a wild ride.. I personally hate bringing the concept of higher dimensions in DxD novels.. coz that world is strong as it is... But man was it good!!! It's been sometime since I've read something so good.. Hell if it wasn't for your first chapter.. You'd be having a 5/5 for this work.. When it comes to dxd we mainly get two types of MCs.. the one who knows the plot and does a lot of background manipulation and the other who's stupidly Op and flexes their power like no other... But this is a fresh take on a character... The MC is OP.. stupidly so.. But neither is he a manipulator nor an edge lord who flexes his power wherever he goes.. he has his own character, confusions and doubts.. He's a free bird. who's inherently not evil but does what he wants.. And yeah it's a harem.. I mean what do you expect.. It's a DxD fic.. if you don't like harems.. don't read a DxD fic.. well that was a long ramble Thank you author for this masterpiece.. and hope you don't take a break before the next volume.. Can't wait for the new chapters...

One of the better fanfics for dxd on this site. (Review as of chapter 8) First: English and Grammar are great. I mean better than some fanfics on this site. If you’re looking for some psycho MC that just kills anyone who he comes across because he hates them for no reason or disagrees with him and puts his thing into anything that moves, this isn’t your fanfic, leave now. For those who are interested, read and find out, this fanfic (so far) and as far as I can tell focuses on character relationship, romance, some action (The MC is OP like one shot everyone OP) and a bit of slow story development since we’re pre-canon, like a month before. Key points (Spoilers ahead, keep reading if you want): Issei and his family do not exist. The MC owns both Boosted Gear and Divine Dividing, but Vali still exists and has his own Divine Dividing. Both Ddraig and Albion to the MC seems to be comic relief more than anything. It’s an alternate universe. One Gender-bend character as of Chapter 8. The rate at which he collects his harem (in my opinion) is at a decent pace. They don’t just look at him, comment on his face being handsome and then fall in love. While I agree with another review/comment that it seemed fast at first, he hasn’t done anything with then yet (18+) so it’s still at a decent pace for me. Like I said, OP MC, like, slap the universe out of existence OP. But he does not throw around his power or have a superiority complex (well, he knows he’s op so gets a bit arrogant at times.) He has 3 fights so far and they were just easy for him. It seems like the MC will hang back and let his harem and the characters of the story deal with the big bad of the story before stepping in if they’re failing. His harem is slowly getting stronger thanks to him helping them. An emphasis on character relationships and a slow burn romance like I said before. There’s no character bashing or hate on specific characters (Rias for example, from the looks of it she’ll be in the harem eventually.) The MC likes being efficient at the things he does, so he plans even if he’s OP. Instead of solving things through brute force, he uses him brain. Unlike some readers on this site kekw. The MC has no weird agenda against any faction or pantheon in the world, like some of you do. The MC isn’t some emotionless robot to project yourself into him. He has his own weird quirks and isn’t in a pp measuring contest with anyone. So he lives his life like a ‘normal’ person. So yes he will have MALE friends if that scares you, you can leave. He has started to befriend Tobio and Sairaorg from the looks of things. There seems more to the MC than what we are led to believe, if I’m reading into this right. He doesn’t remember his own past life, but he does remember everything else, anime, games and all that. He got his current name through the system and just ‘went with it.’ In his words. If any of these points don’t align with what you see as a perfect fanfic for you, again, leave. Only a small hand of people will enjoy something like this, because some of you hate ‘dog’ or ‘simp’ or ‘wimp’ MC’s. The MC (Jin) isn’t like that. Because he’s not acting as a stand in Alpha for any of you to project(self-insert) yourselves into. If you want your fix, you’re free to read other fanfics. So far (Chap 8) nothing outrageous has happened and I am enjoying this breathe of fresh air in the dxd fanfic section. Additionally: The chapters are long; read the aux chapter they range from 10-15k word counts. So while they seem quick in relationships, multiple days have probably gone by. Assuming you’re not skimming anything.

I have very little complaints other than the fact that the each chapter is so long that the app- - Has a slower than usual loading time -'s Mid-read save doesn't work and simply pushes you back to the beginning of the current chapter - For some reason bugs out trying to make a new paragraph comment on the near end of a chapter (you have to go a bit lower to pick the paragraph you want to comment on) Basically my complaints are focused on the fact that the app basically doesn't support long chapters So I shouldn't really be posting this complaint here lol But I will since I am lazy
