Steve looked at Master Gino and asked in a cool voice, "Is the thing that Master Gino wishes to announce important?"
"It's about your Fantasy Serum!" Master Gino said as he smiled coldly.
He then switched on his smart bracelet and projected a report in front of everyone. "This is one of our analysis reports on the Fantasy Serum. The analysis shows that Mr. Clown's Fantasy Serum and Red Night's Blood contain the same ingredient. This substance is similar to most hallucinogens."
In layman terms, hallucinogens were drugs that caused users to become addicted to them in an instant, rendering the users unable to control their usage. Not only did hallucinogens damage the body, but they also caused people to become more and more lazy, as well as rendering them increasingly unable to distinguish reality from illusion.
Sudden cries of alarm were heard at the scene! Some of the forces present had studied the Fantasy Serum, but the composition of the Fantasy Serum had not yet been analyzed. Upon hearing the news, many people exclaimed in surprise...
"There's a hallucinogenic ingredient in the Fantasy Serum!"
"Doesn't this mean that taking Fantasy Serums can cause illusions and make people sink into oblivion?"
"So... Fantasy Serums are drugs!"
"This is big news!"
"Fortunately, the Fantasy Serum has not been mass produced yet. Otherwise, many people would've suffered because of it!"
President Sidney and a large group of people's expressions all changed dramatically. When they had studied the Fantasy Serum, they did not consider the presence of hallucinogens, so they did not know that it contained hallucinogenic ingredients.

Master Gino looked at the Clown Pharmacist with a sneer and asked, "Mr. Clown, as you are the creator of the Fantasy Serum and Red Night's Blood, shouldn't you explain why there are hallucinogens in them?"
At the same time, he used telepathic communication to tell the Clown Pharmacist, "I warned you long ago, asking you to collaborate with us! Since you do not want to do so then, don't blame us for pushing you into a state of disrepute!"

"I have yet to finish talking, so why are you so anxious?" Steve's expression remained calm.
Master Gino looked at Steve calmly, trying to gauge how cunning he really was. Others were also watching Steve, and many of the people present regarded him as a legend, who had a great influence on the future of pharmaceutics.
But now that they were being told that the legendary figure they'd worshipped was actually a drug maker! This would naturally be a great blow to anyone!
"Actually, even if Mr. Gino had not mentioned the composition of the Fantasy Serum, I would've also have mentioned it today." Steve remained calm as he said, "But to clarify, my serum contains psychotropic ingredients, not hallucinogenic ingredients."
"What psychotropic ingredients? These are clearly hallucinogenic ingredients and drugs!" Philip suddenly cried out, followed by other naysayers...
"Yes, you are a drug maker!"
"We've all been deceived! He's just a drug dealer!"
Many people in the crowd followed suit and scolded the Clown Pharmacist.
"Quiet!" President Sidney shouted loudly. "This is a professional exchange conference!, an anyone who dares to create a scene shall be escorted out."
The security guards rushed up immediately, then stood at the front of the platform to protect the safety of the masters. After all, there were a lot of important people here, and if a conflict or a riot was to occur, no matter who got injured or died, it would have a huge impact on the pharmaceutical world.
Philip, who had wanted to stir up the crowd, immediately fell silent when he saw the army of guards coming in. The riotous crowd also quieted down upon seeing them.
Steve didn't speak again until the whole room was quiet. "Now, I want to talk about the direction of my research."
As Steve switched on his smart bracelet, three reports were projected for all to see. "There are three different packages here, one of which is an ordinary Sub-atomic Serum, while the second is a hallucinogen, and the third is the Fantasy Serum."
The Clown Pharmacist's official package of the ingredients of the Fantasy Serum immediately attracted the attentions of all the pharmacists present, as everyone was very interested in the package of ingredients.
"I know you're very interested in the Fantasy Serum. As for its package composition, I'll post it to online. Then, anyone who pays for it can download it," Steve said.
He then added, "From the report, we can see that the difference between the Fantasy Serum and the Sub-atomic Serum is that the Fantasy Serum has more components that are similar to hallucinogens."
Steve went on with his explanation, "This part of the ingredients, when compared with hallucinogens, is indeed a little similar. And… Here...This is the psychotropic agent I'm talking about."
Many pharmacists were all looking at the intercepted ingredients that Steve was now projecting on the screen, as well as the ingredients in ordinary hallucinogens, while carefully observing the branch structure of the two and observing that both of them did have some similarities.
"What's the difference between psychotropic serums and hallucinogens?" President Sidney could not help but ask.
"You've been wondering why my serums are so different from everybody else's. In fact, the main reason for this is that the direction of my research is different from everyone else's," Steve said.
He then added, "According to my previous research, I've found that the very powerful evolved beings all have stronger spiritual powers of their own, and some of them can even use telekinesis. So, I wondered if spiritual powers had any other uses, which could somehow be combined with serums!"
The Clown Pharmacist's words seemed to open a new door for many pharmacists! As people's ideas and mindsets were previously focused on how to improve serums and how to integrate serums to produce more different serums, when the Clown Pharmacist put forward the idea of pairing spirituality with pharmacy, people saw this to be an open door to a whole new world!

I never expected God Himself to be a fan of mine.

When I was creating my game I never had the thought it would be popular honestly. Let alone the fact that I would be having the Holy Maker and His Angels become obsessed with it.

 

It was just a game where you summoned mythological warriors and controlled them, and fought other people online. I mean, there was more to do, but it wasn't anything special.




It was earlier that day that I found out any of this...

 

I suddenly found myself in some sort of otherworldly realm. I had just finished making myself an excellent breakfast and had found the time to sit at my desk and relax when of all things it happened.

 

An angelic girl appeared before me.

She dressed in a long white t-shirt which wasn't exactly how I pictured a holy Angel to dress. She hovered about, flapping her feathery wings. She wore no pants only white undies, which I deduced by the amount of leg revealed to me. I could admittedly see a lot from my position below her.

 

Come to think of it, we dressed quite similar. Perhaps we both were lazy NEETs who played games in our pajamas all day.

 

"Raito-san...! But didn't you wear that same pair of black underwear yesterday?"

 
Those were the Angel's first words to me.

I could tell this was going to be a bizarre experience for me from here on.
 

"...? I'm not dead, am I??" I asked.


"Sorry about your cereal. I realize it'll get soggy if it just sits there on your desk but I needed your help~"


"..."


"It's not like I really interrupted anything anyways. It's not like you do much."

 

Now I was here with a spoon in my hand and an angelic being chastising me.

I had to be dead. This must be hell. I'm forever stuck in this room with her. The constant fear of my cereal getting soggier by the minute was surely going to drive me insane.

But, she did make it sound like she was only borrowing me. If that was the case, I hope this was only a quick question or two. I hope I wasn't trapped in a real-life isekai.

This is how most of them start off after all. A moment of confusion, some almighty figure oppressing you, then banished to some fantasy land for the rest of your life.

It checks all of the boxes.

Damn. As fun as an Isekai adventure sounds, I'll pass on it. You see, I'm rich now back home. My game is widely successful and it's even got its own manga and anime series releasing soon based on the light novels. I'm going to be able to sit back and do absolutely nothing soon! Just like I used to, but this time with lots of money.


"Who are you?"

I questioned with my spoon in my mouth.



"Whoops, I should probably do a proper introduction~~"
The Angel cleared her throat.


"My name is Serenity. I'm an Angel and the Overseer of your island region. I know this might be a lot to take in but we've summoned you for a particular reason, okay~~"

 
"What is it?" I asked.


"You know the online game that you developed on your own? God Game Royale?"



I nodded my head.
"I know a little about it."


"Well, I've been watching you play it for months straight now and I started playing too, but I can't beat my coworkers, no matter how many times I try."


Wait?! You play GGR?!"

 
The Angel looked embarrassed.


"I need your help, Raito-san," said Serenity the Angel.

 
"You're telling me Angels play video games?"


"Yep. What else is there to do up here? It's boring. There's no scenery and everyone is too busy getting along. Games are the only way we angels ever get to release our anger! Who do you think is yelling at you on the mic!"


"Usually some Russian guy, if it's on PC. If I'm playing on a console it's usually an angry twelve-year-old. Are you telling me those are..."


"Yep. Those two were Angels! Artyom loves games!" said the Angel.


"Hmm, alright. .. So what did you need help with? Beating your coworkers, you said?"

 

The Angel nodded her head.

 

"Which summons do you main?" I asked.


"I like to use Enyo..."


I choked on her reply, coughing loudly.


"Enyo?! Enyo damages herself with her own special moves. She's like Pichu before they made him good. No wonder you've never won a game. For starters, you should choose Ares, who is an all-around better Slayer-class summon."


The Angel giggled.
I had accidentally exposed my nerdiness.
Damn.


"But, I'm good with Enyo," said Serenity.


"It doesn't sound like your good at all if you can't beat any of your coworkers."


"Enyo is the best, okay! I'm good with her!" she insisted.


"No one's good with Enyo! So there, you don't need my help anymore. Just pick a different summon and try someone new. Now can you send me back home? This place is making me uncomfortable. It's like I'm dead and waiting to be judged on my past life."


"Well, you see. At first, it was only me playing the game but it soon spread to the other Angels. Now every Angel here plays God Game Royale... erm, even the Almighty himself," said Serenity.

 

"The Lord plays God Game Royale?! I can't picture God playing video games honestly. I bet he wins every time, doesn't he?!"


"Not only does he play obsessively --which is why he has no time for prayers anymore-- but because of our complete obsession with the game at the office, so to speak, we've decided we needed to experience that world for real."


"Uh, what?....did you just say?..."
Did she just say what I think she said? I don't like where this is going.


"We've recreated your game for realsies! Isn't that exciting?!"


"No! That's horrifying!" I shouted.


"Aw, man. I thought you'd be excited! It's your world after all! Usually, the Almighty creates movie and anime worlds. He doesn't normally do it for this genre! It's awesome!"

I shook my head.
"Seriously cancel those plans! That's a terrible idea! Our world is fine, we don't want to experience God Game Royale in real life! I came up with most of the game mechanics when I was sleep-deprived! I stayed awake for seven days working on terrible world-building. The elves weren't sexy enough! I had to dedicate myself to it! Because of this, the rest of the world isn't even well made or thought out! Don't do it! I stole most of my characters from my favourite games and shows even! It's a bad idea!"

"Well, it's too late! The Almighty is already too excited to see his new isekai in action. Since you are often at the top of the leaderboard in your own game we would like to get your opinion on it. Playing your own game competitively is pretty unfair by the way! It's like when the Almighty's Son played Earth Isekai and used all those cheat codes. Anyways, we want to make sure the world meets with your expectations, of course!" said the Angel.


"Great..."


"It is! Isn't it?"


"No! No, it's not!"


"One last thing..." said the Angel.

 
I let out a deep sigh.
"What is it?"

 
"The Almighty asks if you have any requests before we send you to this domain. Surely, you'll want an advantageous bonus, which we shouldn't allow... You are the Holy Maker of this world after all. What item do you want? Is it a powerful memento? Or maybe a fancy dinner? Any wish is fine."


(Well, I already know not to take her with me. I already know the outcome of an event like that happening.)


"Fancy dinner? You're making this sound like my last meal! Am I going to die down there?"

 
"I mean, probably. Everybody does," said the Serenity with a shrug.


"Jesus, Serenity," I replied.


"You want your legendary wish to be Jesus? He would probably enjoy exploring this world with you, actually. I'll text him."


"Wait, what?! No, it was only an expression! Stop texting him! That's not the legendary wish I want!"

 
"Oh. He just replied. He sounds stoked man!... I'm going to have to tell him you said no now..."

(It's actually pretty hilarious she has Jesus on speed dial, but maaann this Angel was dumb in the head. How she became an Overseer was beyond me.)

 
"Oh, by the way. Angels read thoughts. Most prayers are done internally as a matter of fact!! So stop it, you dummy! I'm just glad I'm not some pervert weirdo like you, who lewds his own video game characters. That's weird, dude!"

 
"You're being lewd right now! We're literally having a conversation in our underwear."

 
"What's weird about that? Who's got time to get dressed?" said the Angel.

 
"You're just as perverted as me I bet."


"I'm pure as a leaf, you NEET," said the Angel.


"Pure as a leaf is not an expression. No one says that."


"They do in Heaven!!"

The Angel fluttered her wings.
"So which magic thingy was it again? The Almighty told me to give you at least one super cool power or item before I let you leave. It can literally be anything. Your wish is my command. We don't care what you pick, because it'll be entertaining either way. You sure you don't want to take Jesus? He's a wizard at RPGs. Literally, Jesus is the best in the office, besides you know who -- the Big Cheese."

"This will be a very quick mission! I promise! Just go down to the new world and make sure it meets with your expectations!" she insisted.


"I have a question first. Are there game-like rules in this world?
Like server-side inventories, statistics and skill levels and level ups?"

 
"I dunno, I can't remember. That's not really my department."

 
I was going to request to be an Admin. That would give me access to all of the overpowered abilities and impenetrable invulnerability. But, it could also be a waste of a wish if this world goes by real world rules. I'd end up just being a normal guy with a useless Admin badge.

Maybe if I requested access to my dev room, assuming they recreated my game's world completely. I could just nab all of my secret developer gear from there and use that. There was an item there that would even allow me to open portals to return back.

Wait, I'll just ask for the portal item.
From there, I'll teleport in.
I'll grab all the gear one by one...
As much as I can carry and I'll store it in ----


"---- Eh, stop trying to form some complicated plot in your head and just ask me for the World-Edit ability. You'll be able to do what you need with it."


Shit, I keep forgetting she can read my thoughts.


"Yeah, sure. I'll go with that, I guess."


The Angel wiggled her wings and hovered down to my level and by pressing her finger on my nose, she shrunk me down in size. She was now holding me in her hand like a little chess pawn.

The world began to generate around us. From my position on top of her palm, I could see the entire map of the familiar world I've spent thousands of hours creating appear before my eyes in pristine graphics.


"It looks like there are people down there already. Yeah, there's definitely people! Are they NPCs?"

 
"Oh. Well, we didn't just generate the world now. We just loaded it up for the first time on my server. Those are players from other worlds. Most of them are probably from Earth Isekai."


"How long has this world existed?!" I asked.

 
"This save file? I mean, I dunno. Angels don't perceive time the same as humans. Awhile I guess. I mean, they are still very much in their early days. But, so are Earth Isekai humans as a matter of fact. A few thousand more years and Earth Isekai might actually be a fun game. It's too similar to an RTS right now for me. Tense country border patrol simulators aren't my kind of game. I think even the Almighty got bored of it," said Serenity.
 

I could hear the sounds of a phone vibrating...

HHHHHHHH....!

"One moment here... I'm getting a call!" said Serenity.

 

Serenity dropped me down to the world below. I flailed to and fro through the air.

I descended down towards the ground, doing somersaults on my way down. The wind tried to pull off my boxers, so I held them tightly in place.

I soon collided with the ground, creating a perfectly sized indent of my body in the grassy field below.

[Well, I'm surprised that didn't kill me.]

Serenity appeared above my crater hole, which felt like my personally dug grave. She had a dumb smirk across her face. Serenity was back to her regular size-- back to her natural short stature.


"Welcome to God Game Royale, Summoner!"


"Ugghh... She's using the intro line to my game... It sounds so cheezy when she says it..."

 
Serenity flicked me a small aluminum pin which I caught in my hand.

 
"There's your Admin badge! Now go explore the new world and make sure it meets with your expectations!"

 
"Well, my expectations are extremely low, so from that overhead view I seen I'd say it looks great. You guys knocked it out of the park. Great work team. Now I'm done right?"

 
"I'll pull you out when you've completed your mission!"


"It's still pretty unclear what that mission is!"

 
"Make sure to have fun! Bye bye now, sexy Raito-san!"

 

 

I think I'm going to cry.

Why did this happen now!

It should have happened when I was poor and doing nothing, not when I finally made a name for myself and had money!

 

What a cruel, cruel world!

Have you ever been pulled into a conversation that you didn't want to be a part of? I have. Recently. With a beautiful Angel in her underwear. She thinks I'm some sort of mastermind. Well, I'm not. I'm just a lazy NEET. She must be an idiot!

"CoC System integration complete!" 

"Scanning the Host's memory. Ding! Complete!"

"Adding 2 new Functions that are deemed by the System to be the most significant. Ding! Complete!"

"Generating Screen Interface. Ding! Complete!" 

"Scanning World for a suitable Domain. Ding Complete! Ding! All requirements met."

"Command: Generate a 40x40 System Domain Map. Ding! Complete!" 

"Command: Generate Level 1 Town Hall, Generate Level 1 Army Camp, Generate Level 1  Builder's Hut, Generate 1 Level 1 Gold Mine. Generate 1 Level 1 Elixir Collector. Ding! Complete!" 

"Command: Hire 1 Builder. Ding! Complete!"

"Congratulations Host! You may now access the CoC System!"

Cade stood rooted in front of a small house with a bewildered expression. As if he was not convinced enough, he pinched his thigh and slapped his cheeks just to make sure that everything was real! 

"What in the world?!" He nearly screamed out loud. 

He looked back at the small wooden house with a crooked orange roof and stone chimney. He then looked at the grassy area with a fire in the center. Behind the hut, he could also hear a loud snore that echoed repeatedly. On the left of the house, was a gold mine. And on the right was an elixir collector.

The screen window that was hovering in front of him further confirmed his thoughts! 

"So I really have the CoC System!" Cade said to himself. He could only sigh and accept that he really was in a new world. 

"Oh well, since I don't know what is going to happen next, I might as well get moving. Who knows, goblins might really come and attack." With a sigh, Cade went back inside the Town Hall. 

Earlier, he found himself dozed off inside the Town Hall. As for why he was sent here, it was because he died. 
 
He was playing CoC with his phone as he crossed the street when he was suddenly slammed by a speeding truck. When he woke up, he found himself taking a nap on the table. 

Cade was a normal college student on earth. He just started his third year, but who would have thought that he would die in such a tender age of 21. Well, although it was technically not his fault, as he was in a pedestrian lane, his carelessness was still to be blamed. 

He could only imagine his parents and siblings mourning for his death, especially his mother. But right now, Cade had more important things to do. 

Surely, this was a new world, not some online game. And since the game is fantasy-themed, then the probability of this world being a magical place is very high. There could be goblins, orcs, monsters, dragons and many unknown. 

...

Cade played the game for nearly 2 years. He even reached Town Hall Level 11 with all of his buildings maxed. So, of course, he already knew everything about the game like the back of his hand. But right now, he found himself confused if this was really a CoC system. 

Well, there were actually not many changes on the interface, it was the content. 
 
Just like the game, Cade could see an area of 40x40 space. There was the Town Hall, Builder's Hut, the Army Camp, and the Gold Mine. There was also a red dot right on the Town Hall, Cade figured that it indicated his position. 

Since this was not a game anymore, all of those game functions were removed. 

The attack button, the chat button, and all of the online buttons were removed except for the shop, achievements, trophy, setting, and the 2 bars that indicated how much gold and elixir and gems he had. The bar that indicated available Builders was also still there, and besides it was a bar that indicated Residents Limit and not the shield.

Cade then tapped on the Shop button, but when he opened it, he was surprised. (Please take note that the online stuff was removed.)

Instead of only four, it was instead six. 

Army, Resources, Traps, Defenses, Houses (New), and Materials(New).

The problem is, instead of actually being buildings, the shop sold the materials and the blueprint. 

"Interesting," Cade felt that the snoring behind the small house hot louder. "Looks like it is still the same, same content, just different pictures. I just need to buy those materials and the Builder will build it. Thankfully, the prizes are still the same. Well, unfortunately, the Town Hall limiter still applies." Since his town hall was still level 1,  he could only access the thirteen buildings available. But still, he would have to have money to be able to buy them.

Cade suddenly frowned as he thought of a problem, "How the hell am I supposed to earn money if I can't attack other villages?! Will I have to actually wait for the Gold and Elixir mines for my resources?" But after a while of thinking, he concluded that since this is a new world, the people should have a currency of their own. And since this world looked pretty backward, gold and silver should be the current currency the people use. 

No matter where you go, the beauty of Gold always attracts the eyes of anyone.

He tapped on what was tappable and was surprised to find a new function.

"So I can actually buy them separately. That's good, that's good." Cade heaved a sigh of relief when he found out that he could actually purchase the materials and the blueprints separately.

Cade then looked at the 2 new 'products' that were labeled as new, and what he saw surprised him.

The House had all kinds of houses. From a bungalow to the fanciest building. But Cade could not even bother to continue his grand dream after looking at the prices. Although the prices of the blueprints are only 1/4 of the total price, the materials listed were difficult to cough up in this backward world. Well, assuming that it is backward.

Cade then moved on to the Materials, and he was not really surprised by what he saw. The products were pretty simple. Such as woods, stone, and metals. But as he scrolled sideways, Cade was beginning to get surprised. After all, even cement, cloths, papers, plastics, and many more. But what really surprised him was that everything was available, there were no restrictions and all the products were purchasable by gold and elixir. That means he could buy them... if he had money.

"Wow!" Cade exclaimed from ecstasy as he smiled with satisfaction. "With this, I should be able to live my life with ease. But then again, who knows, a villain might come," said Cade jokingly to himself.

"Now, it's about time I begin building." Cade began to tap on the screen. 

With his Level 1 Town Hall, Cade only had 1000 storage space for both of his resources. Thankfully, both were full, and that means that the Gold Mine and Elixir Collector would stop their operation. So right now, he had to buy Gold and Elixir Storage. 

He tapped and bought the Gold Storage to see what happens and when he did, he was redirected to the map. Meaning, he had to choose the location where the storage will be built.

He confirmed it to right beside the Gold Mine and the materials were dumped in that area. Just to make sure, Cade went out to check, and indeed, the materials magically appeared there. 

Suddenly, the snoring from behind the Town Hall that he was ignoring stopped. Then Cade heard footsteps coming towards him. He looked back and saw a man with large blue eyes. An extremely short man with a cheesy smile on his face. As if no matter what happened, that smile would never disappear.

The man wore a yellow-brown aviator hat, a brown sleeveless shirt, and leather-like pants and orange shoes. He also held a stone hammer on his right hand. The man was the Builder, a dwarf.

When the dwarf saw Cade, his smile turned even cheesier and he spoke.

"Boss, I hear you got a job for me?" Contrary to his appearance, his voice was quite husky.

Cade felt weird and shocked seeing the dwarf. He had seen some people with dwarfism, but he never saw some look that way. It was like he was seeing a dwarf One Piece character. 

"Uhh... Ahem... I believe it's that one." Cade pretended to cough before pointing towards the pile of materials right beside the Gold Mine.

The dwarf turned to see the pile and his eyes turned bright. He ignored Cade and walked towards the pile of materials with his hammer. But he stopped when he heard Cade call out.

"Sir, what should I call you?" 

The dwarf turned around and answered, "I am called Thorin."

Except for the parts that hackers could change and overwrite, the virtual reality world in 'The Matrix' had everything that a real world could have. Even if some people knew that it was all fake, their bodies still would think that it was real subconsciously.

His spiritual power was great, and the fire that he could use was hellfire and could burn souls into ashes.
On the screen, hellfire flew around while lava flowed in from all directions. One could even feel the extremely high temperature through the screen.
Xun Yuan murmured with a gloomy expression. "I'll see how good and fun this game is!"
Since the opponent was the Fire Ghost King, the best array to deal with him was the water array. On the screen, Jing Tian and Long Kui changed positions and used water-elemental spiritual spells to deal with the surrounding heat wave so that their combat strengths wouldn't decrease.

Walking past them, Yue Bai glanced at him and said, "How come you only learned about it? We're close to passing the game."

Starting on that day, Copper was busy with the second installment of the "Legend of Master Shi" card play, which finally gave Chen Mu a little break.
He had finished three of the twelve cards, leaving nine cards, among which was the token card. Still, the more he used the token card, the more proficient he had gotten with it. By that time, although his perception hadn't gotten obviously better, based on his deployment of it you couldn't say it had stood still.
Chen Mu didn't use up too much time to smoothly complete the remaining eight one-star fantasy cards.
And now there was only that one dedicated token card remaining.
It had to be said that the token card was a very magical card. The token card can only be used together with other cards, since it had absolutely no value on its own. In that regard, it was like a person's brain, which plays a central role, but doesn't have any use all by itself.
That was Chen Mu's first attempt at making a dedicated token card. It was only on the point of starting to make it that he realized that "token" was a very deep field of study. The preceding eleven one-star fantasy cards had already seemed quite complicated to him, but when he was facing the composition of the token card, he finally realized that the two were on totally different levels. That naturally had something to do with his familiarity with fantasy cards and the strangeness of the token card, with which he'd had no prior connection.
When he was in the process of completing them all, he had entered into the mysterious card no fewer than twenty times to refresh his study of token cards.
Whenever he ran into an issue that he couldn't resolve, he would simply enter into the mysterious card to look for related content. Still, there were some matters about which he didn't even find any answers, but as long as there was related information, there was still the possibility to extract some little refinement from it by wracking his brain.
Chen Mu felt like he was entering a battlefield, and in front of him were fortresses that he had to breach one by one. Once he started, he would be tearing out his hair each time that he ran into a question he couldn't resolve. Later, he calmed down; so long as he kept patiently trying from all different directions to breach the fortresses, there was no rush.
After twenty days on end of calibrating and recalibrating, Chen Mu finally completed that token card.
If front of him, there was a pure black card laying peacefully on the desk. The whole card face was lacquered matt black, seeming to have gone through a sand blasting, which was the result of being dipped into the matt-wash. That kind of extremely expensive liquid used up fully 100,000 Oudi of Chen Mu's money, and was normally only used in making cards that were three-star grade and above.
On the pure black card, a slick bright black composition flashed an intoxicating glow. The compositions were very level, and would show reflections if put in front of the eye.
Once he'd finished the token card, Chen Mu fell in love with it. Just as an artist's appreciation of an art work and its beauty is not the same as that of ordinary people, so is the love of a card maker for the look of his cards.
Holding the twelve cards in his hand, Chen Mu entered into the fantasy realm of that mysterious card. 
The outlines of the twelve fantasy cards appeared before Chen Mu's eyes, floating in front of him, each one dark and flat.
Chen Mu arranged the twelve cards in order in the dark grey card-stand in front of him. Whenever he put up a card, the dark grey cards would suddenly blossom with light, immediately turning their dark grey into a flash, and slowly rotating in front of Chen Mu.
Chen Mu knew that the bright cards were no longer simulations, but were the real cards that he had just brought in.
That made him marvel still more at the mysterious card, which emitted illusions that were like the real becoming illusory, until he couldn't tell any longer what was real and what was illusion.
Chen Mu was a little nervous. He saw that his conjecture was not wrong, but what would come after . . .
After he'd placed all twelve cards, Chen Mu's heart jumped up into his throat.
There was no dazzling light, no alarming crescendo, while everything happened so quickly, so silently. In a twinkle, Chen Mu seemed to have entered a different world.
A great force closed in on him from all directions, making him feel as though he were suffocating. A slow but forceful pressure suddenly developed until he couldn't stand it, then feeling as though he'd been shoved, he jerked forward and staggered a few paces.
This is . . .
Innocently looking ahead, Chen Mu was stunned.
Water! He was actually in water! Beside him all sorts of swordfish were swimming back and forth, seeming to be in midair. They were slow and graceful, sometimes whizzing into a crowd, sometimes scattering like a field of snow.
But those swordfish were a little too ugly! Chen Mu was inwardly overtaken by a cold sweat. He'd been paying too much attention to the parameters of the swordfish, and didn't apply any skill to their appearance. That caused the swordfish to be very ugly, all as flat as shuttles, with triangular heads, triangular bodies, triangular fins, triangular tails . . .
Those swordfish were very much all assembled from all different sizes of triangles. Chen Mu felt unaccountably ashamed to have made such a swordfish illusion.
"Welcome to the simple water world!"
It had already been a long time since Chen Mu had heard that hoarse old voice. He now knew that he had succeeded! He had succeeded in penetrating another layer deeper into that mysterious card. 
Water world! All along it was a water world! Looking at the constantly lightly pressurized and not fully transparent environment all around him sparkling like crystal, Chen Mu finally realized what was going on. He finally understood the use of those parameters in that strange fantasy card.
It was really like a fairy tale world! Weeds were swaying back and forth like hair, while the school of swordfish was frolicking, and bizarrely formed reefs were on the bottom, with a milky white giant clam reposing on top of them.
Even though it was an illusion, Chen Mu couldn't help being moved by what he had created.
He reveled in it for a while, and then Chen Mu came back to his senses. It was very clear to him that the person who created the mysterious card had certainly not made the water world out of boredom. Moreover, he remembered very clearly what that old voice had said, "Welcome to the simple water world." This construction of 'simple water world' couldn't help but make him want to improve upon it. Since there was a simple water world, shouldn't there also be a complex one?
What was in front of him wasn't entirely clear, but Chen Mu knew that not everything would be as easy as that. He was already bowing down and worshiping the maker of the card. In his eyes, such supreme artistry was like a rank of stars he could never reach, so mysterious, and so enchanting.
Chen Mu looked for openings all around him. He was extremely curious about what would be next. Another exercise gymnastics? A new way to make cards?
Just then, the milky white giant clam slowly opened up, revealing a fine seam. A beam of light shot out from inside. It condensed into a bright spot in front of Chen Mu, and then immediately scattered in every direction, turning into a bright screen.

Wind picked up and the lake shuddered. Like a miracle, the lake split in two right under Dave. He felt like he was free-falling into the serpent's maw.
Darkness covered Dave's vision. Then after a thud, light shone from above Dave. The lake crashed into itself as the two split sections merged together, creating a large wave.
Crimson blood spread at the depths of the lake, making the clear water a murky red. Dave swam up from what he believed to be the insides of the serpent. He was still confused by what just happened. But remembering the clear word, he heard before the lake split. He knew who was it that shouted it.

Dave rapidly swam up until he reached the lake surface. Looking up, the tengu was slowly flapping his wings, hovering in air with both arms crossed together while Dog was hanging from the tengu's leg, with one hand, while the other hand was holding his head protectively under his armpit.
"Dog? You won?" Dave asked.
Dog grunted in agreement.
'Why didn't I get a notification about it?' Dave wondered. Then he remembered that he had already ignored all the notification coming from the storm labyrinth.
Dave was about to inspect the notification until he remembered that the serpent was still underwater. He didn't know if the tengu had slain the serpent or just heavily wounded it. Dave decided it was safer to swim to the manticore and then plan his next step.
Dave swam across the lake until he arrived at the manticore. When he climbed up to the manticore's carapace, the tengu was already there while Dog was fixing his head above his shoulders.
Lone and the rest of Dave's party had taken a few steps away from the tengu. Lone especially was quite warry from the creature. He was something that made them dread the Storm Labyrinth a lot.
Dave inspected the notifications he had ignored before. Most of them were a report on the deaths of his underling in the storm labyrinth. But the last one was different.

The dullahan was amazing. Dog had managed to defeat the tengu in the ascension arena all by himself while it took Dave a lot of effort and time to beat the tengu with more than a hundred undead.
Dog grunted and nodded to Dave and took a step back.
The tengu moved toward Dave and spoke.
"Warrior of the dead. I have been brought back to life against my will. I have clear memory to the loss I suffered under your hands. As the loser, I shall follow your command. For this undead nature will allow me to sharpen my blade further." The tengu said in all archaic manner.
Dave nodded and said, "I have to thank you. You saved me from that serpent."
"It is but my duty to my commander. Now, I have left my students in the Storm Labyrinth. They disliked the fact that you revived me to undeath. You will have to deal with them yourself." The tengu said.
"You mean if I were ever to fight them…" Dave trailed.
"Yes, I shall not lend a hand. You will be on your own."
"No problem. I understand." Dave replied
"As for all matter. I shall lend you my blade. Use it wisely, Lich." The tengu said.
"What happened to that serpent?" Perfect asked.
"I don't know, Tengu here struck it down, it isn't going back up," Dave said.
Then a moment later, a notification appeared in front of Dave.

Dave levelled up from 375 to level 388, thanks to this quest. And he had yet to drink the potions he received from Ramsha. The Doom Knight ascension is right around the corner. And this gave Dave a lot of hopes in ascending to a more powerful undead form.
Dave inspected all of the information about the quest and its details, smirking Dave said.
"Heh, all I need is a straw hat now!" Dave chuckled.
"Straw hat? I don't get it?" Flanker said.
"Man, you should hang yourself in shame for not getting that reference," Fortress shook his head.
"So, what now?" Mercy asked.
"Well, our job here is done. I don't have any other plans. And most of my quests are impossible to do right now. I still need to level up."
"Oh. Hmm, I think I'll stay in the underworld for a while to level up," Mercy said.
"Yeah, I think I will join in. The third raid zone ahs some good exp areas and I could revive more manticores to add to my army," Dave said.
"We don't have the gate code," Perfect said.
"Yeah, hang on, I still have more scrolls." Dave rummaged through his inventory, and his attention was drawn to an item he bought from Ramsha.
It was a treasure map.
Dave opened the map.

 Dave grinned until his smile almost reached his ears. "I really like this more and more. Guys, we have a treasure hunt! Who's in?!"
Dave shared the map with his party.
"Treasures! Jewels and diamonds, I'm in!" Lone instantly replied.
"Count me in. I won't miss this." Mercy said with a glint in her eyes.
"Yeah, why not, but how are we going to get there. We need a ship." Flanker pointed out. The mark was way deep into the seas of Conquest's world.
"And I think it's enough playing man. It's way too late right now, and we have been online for a long time," Perfect said.
"You guys are right. I will take care of making the ship. You can log out and have your rest. When the ship is ready, I'll contact you. Mercy, inform Ralph. He will want to come." Dave said.
"Okay," Mercy said.
The players all logged out leaving Dave with Bud, Tiny and the tengu on his manticore.
"Warrior of the Dead. I wish to have my sabre back." The tengu said.
Dave frowned, then he realised that the tengu didn't have his katana on him anymore. Dave had already looted it the day he killed the tengu and never had the time to start the quest related to it.
Dave rummaged through his inventory and pulled out a pitch-black katana.
"My Rift-Maker. Thank you for keeping it safe," the tengu held the sabre piously with both hands.
"Uh, hang on," Dave said.
"What is it, Warrior of the Dead?"
"If you didn't have your katana earlier, how did you split the lake in two?" Dave asked.
The tengu snorted saying, "When you reach perfect harmony with yourself, you may turn a leaf into a sword." The tengu swung his hand vertically, the very wind emitted from his hand movement had split the lake water again.
Dave gulped hard. The tengu was mad strong. He had to admit that. But that wasn't what scared him the most. Dave slightly turned his head toward Dog. This guy was innocently wiping the helmet on his head from dust.
'How the heck did Dog defeat this guy?'
A question that will take Dave a while to know the truth behind.

Shi Xieren, the pro gamer of Universe Online. Yeah, if you determined the gamer based on how long he or she played the game then Shi Xieren was a pro gamer. He started playing the Universe Online when he was in the 17 years old and now he was 22 years old.

Five years experienced playing a game you could call him old player than pro gamer. However, what about him in the game? He was totally cancer. Yes, he was a fucking noob in the game. No one wanted to party with him, and his name was famous, especially for Chinese because he also Chinese.

Why was he called cancer? Even his best friend in the game didn't want a party with him, the best friend who introduced the game to him though it was not his fault that he didn't want to make a party with him.

His In Game Name (IGN) was Runner. Like his IGN, he was the fastest swordsman with a meager damage. It didn't exaggerate at all because of his speed almost the same as an assassin class.

He raised all his attribute point to the Agility. That was why he became the fastest swordsman. Swordsman Class in the Universe Online was a damage dealer, but he could only cause a meager damage because of his attribute was all on Agility.

He cannot become a tank, he cannot become a support, and as a damage dealer? He could only cause a little damage to the monster let alone a boss. His best ability was running and escaping.

After the peoples who ever made a party with him spread the news about him who a swordsman raised up all attribute to Agility. After the news spread out, there was no one wanted to make a party with him, even his best friend, Yun He.

What about Shi Xieren responded toward this issue? Nah, he just ignored. He didn't care about what people said to him. His goal played this game was to become the fastest in the world.

In the room with 4x3 meters, Shi Xieren gazed at the game capsule with blue color in the front. The room was stuffy, one bed, a capsule game, and a wardrobe but it didn't make him uncomfortable instead this was the most comfortable room for him.

Today, the blue-colored capsule going to be taken by the government, and when he wanted to buy a new capsule for the new game, the price was only half-price.

Before became a gamer he was an ex-runner athlete because some of the incident, he could not run anymore though he was still want to keep running.

Why did he want to keep running? It was his dead mother wish. His mother said before she died was "Keep running son and become the fastest in the world. Break all the record in this world, don't give up just because you experienced a failure you should keep work hard to make the failure become a success. I will keep watching you from above so don't stop running until you become the fastest in the world,"

His mother died when he was 11 years old. That was when he just started to attend the running competition. His father? His father died earlier than his mother, he didn't even remember what his father looked like because his father died when he was 2 years old because of cancer. If there was no photo of his father, maybe he would be able to recognize his father even though he was still alive in the front of him.

Relatives? He didn't have any relatives. His father was an orphan also his mother. His parents were a childhood friend from the same orphanage and became a couple when they were full grown up.

Actually, he realized why his mother last wish like that was because she wanted him to alive. She knew when she died she will leave her son alone in this world. So, she wished him to become the fastest in the world to keep him alive.

She tried to distract his mind from the sad and sorrow by setting a goal for him, so he could alive. When did he realize it? When an accident happened to him that made him could not run anymore. When he heard the diagnosis from the doctor that he could not run anymore like before, there was one word crossed in his mind "Suicide", yes, suicide.

All the time, he lived to fulfill his mother wish to become the fastest runner in the world. But when he could not run anymore, he realized that his mom tried distracting his mind so he didn't do a stupid thing like suicide.

Fortunately, he had a best buddy also a childhood friend that could help him, Yun He. Yun He was so worried for him when his mother died because he locked himself in his room. Finally, Yun He got an idea that could make him kept continuing run. That was Universe Online, the second VR game.

But his legend didn't stop here. He stopped running in the real world but he continued running in the virtual world.

Malam hari setelah Class Nine - World PVP Turnament selesai aku duduk di dalam kamar penginapan yang selalu aku gunakan didalam game.

Duduk di kursi aku melihat dua Item yang menjadi hadiah utama Tournament kali ini, mereka tergeletak bersampingan di atas meja.

Satu Item bernama Seed of Life, dia memiliki bentuk dasar seperti bola Rugby sebesar telapak tangan, bagian atas Item ini seperti terbuat dari permata berwarna hijau sedangkan di bagian bawah di selimuti oleh akar akar kayu berwarna coklat muda.

Seed of Life memperbolehkan aku membuat second character, tidak hanya itu Item ini juga memperbolehkan aku dengan bebas memilih Special Race (ras spesial) yang hanya dapat di beli dengan RM (real money) untuk membuat second character milikku.
Item kedua adalah Gaia Tears. Item ini memiliki bentuk cairan berwarna biru muda, dia dikemas dalam sebuah botol kecil transparan yang memiliki ukiran daun yang indah. Gaia Tears merupakan sebuah Item pendamping untuk Seed of Life, jika meneteskan Item ini ke Seed of Life second character yang di buat akan secara otomatis memperoleh sebuah Unique Skill secara random.

Membuat second character dan mendapat Unique Skill mungkin terdengar sederhana namun di Ark Fantasy Online keduanya sangat berharga.

Meski memiliki fitur reinkarnasi. Dimana seorang player dapat membuat character baru dan mendapat setengah jumlah Status dari character sebelumnya dengan mereset level character yang mereka gunakan menjadi level nol. VRMMO-RPG (virtual reality massively multiplayer online role playing game) Ark Fantasy Online tidak memperbolehkan pemainnya membuat second character. Satu Player hanya di perbolehkan membuat satu character.

Sedangkan untuk Special Race. Aku bisa mengatakan ini adalah hadiah yang cukup berharga. Seperti yang aku ucapkan sebelumnya, seseorang Player harus menggunakan RM untuk bisa membuat character dengan Special Race. Harga mereka cukup mahal tapi tidak semahal harga sebuah Mythical Weapons.
Sekarang kita sampai di Unique Skill. Meski bisa di dapatkan tanpa RM, seorang pemain harus mengerjakan Quest yang sangat sulit dengan waktu bermain yang lama agar bisa mendapat Unique Skill ini. Karena kondisi Quest yang sangat ekstrim itu, Unique Skill menjadi sangat langka. 

Aku dengar hanya ada tiga Player yang memperoleh Unique Skill sejak Ark Fantasy Online muncul sepuluh tahun yang lalu.

Dan sekarang mengetahui aku memiliki dua Item berharga ini, aku hanya bisa tersenyum.

Tidak membuang waktu aku langsung meneteskan Gaia Tears ke Seed of Life.  Cahaya redup berwarna hijau muncul di Seed of Life setelah menerima Gaia Tears, kemudian saat cahaya itu hilang aku menggunakan Seed of Life dengan menyentuhnya dan menekan tombol konfirmasi.

Menggunakan Seed of Life membuatku berpindah tempat keruang pembuatan character.

Tempat pembuatan Character merupakan sebuah daratan datar tanpa ujung yang terbuat dari langit biru yang cerah dengan kumpulan awan putih dan permukaan laut seperti cermin yang memantulkan pemandangan langit.

Tidak lama setelah aku sampai di tempat ini satu NPC (non player character) Angel muncul didepanku. Dia memiliki sosok seorang wanita cantik yang memiliki empat sayap bulu, rambut panjang bergelombang dan sebuah cincin cahaya di atas kepala yang berwarna emas. Dia mengenakan gaun putih dihiasi motif daun berwarna hijau, mata berpupil biru miliknya kini menatapku.

Sesaat setelah Angel mengucapkan itu puluhan sosok berbagai jenis ras muncul di hadapanku, Human, Elves, Dwarf, Beastkin, Slime, Orge, Dragon dan lain lain.
Melewati semua Normal Race aku langsung menuju kebagian dimana Special Race berada. Di sana aku bisa memilih Special Race seperti High Elves, Arc Demon, True Vampire, Ancient Dragon, Divine Beast dan beberapa Special Race lainnya.

Ark Fantasy Online memiliki ratusan jenis Race karena itu aku hanya bisa mengingat beberapa Normal Race serta Race yang menarik perhatianku.

Pemilihan Special Race ini membuatku bingung. Apa yang harus aku pilih?, High Elves, Arc Demon atau Divine Beast?. 

Setelah beberapa menit berlalu aku memutuskan untuk memilih Divine Beast - Nine Tail Fox. Alasan kenapa aku memilih Special Race ini karena Nine Tail Fox memiliki status dasar kelima terbesar dari seluruh Special Race yang tersedia, tidak hanya itu Special Race ini juga memiliki wujud yang sama dengan Beastkin, Special Race ini juga tidak memiliki banyak pantangan seperti Special Race lainya. Dengan sedikitnya pantangan yang dia miliki membuat aku masih bisa masuk ke sebagian besar kota yang ada di dalam Ark Fantasy Online. Sayangnya dengan memilih Special Race ini aku tidak bisa mengikuti sebagian besar Event Tournament PvP yang ada. 

Aku tidak berkecil hati dengan pantangan itu. Setidaknya aku tidak berakhir seperti Player kenalanku yang memilih Ancient Dragon yang sangat kuat dan berakhir tidak bisa masuk kedalam kota. Berkat pantangan yang dimiliki Ancient Dragon, dia hanya bisa mengikuti tiga Event dari semua Event yang ada di dalam game Ark Fantasy Online. 

Setelah aku selesai memilih Special Race NPC Angel melanjutkan proses pembuatan character.

Mendengar ucapan NPC Angel membuatku terkejut. Biasanya para Player di Ark Fantasy Online hanya bisa membuat character sesuai dengan jenis kelamin mereka di dunia nyata, seorang pria hanya bisa membuat character pria dan seorang wanita hanya bisa membuat character wanita.

"Mungkin ini salah satu bonus yang di miliki seed of life. Hmm... karena aku sudah memiliki character pria mungkin lebih baik jika sekarang aku membuat character wanita?. Siapa tahu aku bisa masuk kedalam salah satu party yang hanya beranggotakan para wanita, kemudian setelah berkenalan dengan salah satu anggota mereka dan menjadi dekat dengannya, aku mungkin bisa melakukan pdkt dan berakhir dengan aku mendapat pacar sungguhan"

Hahaha.. aku rasa ini bukan ide yang buruk. Dengan niat mencari pacar aku memutuskan untuk membuat character wanita.

Setelah memilih Custom tanpa ragu aku mulai mengedit tampilan wajah dan tubuh character yang akan aku gunakan.

Satu jam kemudian seorang wanita cantik berdiri di depanku. Dia memiliki sepasang mata tajam berpupil ungu, memiliki beralis tembal menawan, hidung mancung dengan bentuk yang indah, bibir segar berwarna merah muda. Tidak hanya itu dia juga memiliki rambut panjang sepinggang, telinga rubah yang besar dan satu ekor lebat miliknya berwarna emas. 

Tinggi character wanita ini aku buat sama dengan tinggi tubuhku, seratus tujuh puluh lima cm. Aku membuat character ini dengan sosok wanita ideal idamanku, karena itu dia memiliki tubuh elegan yang tidak kalah dengan tubuh para model yang sering muncul di majalah "fesyen".

Second character milikku adalah wanita cantik nan menawan yang dapat mencuri hati para pria hanya dengan sebuah senyuman. Aku yakin character ini sempurna namun, entah mengapa aku merasa ada yang janggal.

"hmm.. aku tahu!. Usia dia. usia character ini sama dengan usiaku karena itu aku merasa ada yang janggal, aku harus membuat dia lebih muda. Tujuh tahun lebih muda dari usiaku yang sekarang. Aku ingin berpacaran dengan wanita yang lebih muda, "gadis di akhir masa remaja" bukankah kalimat itu memiliki getaran tersendiri?"

Empat puluh koin perak. Pantas saja Basic Equipment Pack C merupakan pilihan terbaik, Basic Equipment Pack A yang aku pilih sebelumnya hanya memiliki sepuluh koin perak didalamnya.

Sesaat setelah NPC Angel mengatakan itu, character Aztaroth yang aku gunakan bertukar dengan character Eclaite yang baru aku buat. Setelah menjadi Eclaite Aztaroth yang baru saja aku gunakan berdiri di samping kiriku.

Magic Circle berwarna biru selebar satu meter kemudian muncul di bawah kakiku. Melihat mereka bersinar aku mengucapkan.

"aku tidak sabar ingin menjalani tutorial awal lagi"

Setelah NPC Angel mengucapkan itu tubuhku di selimuti cahaya biru sesaat kemudian aku kehilangan kesadaran.
