The boy looked at jax with cold eyes the temperature suddenly dropped around us making my spine shiver. The silence was only for a few seconds but it felt like hours *cough cough* Psycho said. I looked this man up and down before my colour drained from my face and my fist clenched. I could only muster up the courage to say "you don't deserve to be here" as he looked into my eyes all I could seem to do was say "No one here likes you leave". I turned around to leave when I heard him say "your not my boss" I just laughed and looked at him "your not my man so don't pretend to be" I angrily said. I turned around and walked into the forest not know that I had already started to run in vamp speed and my eyes started to become wet and my jaw started to tighten. After about an hour of running I came to a stop when I saw a modern buildings a house it was painted white like snow. It had a garage and a door that was made out of thick wood with windows and a balcony around the back. As I got closer It had a lock it wasn't like any normal look it was in the shape of a heart. The perfect size that fit my necklace and the door unlocked as I walked in I entered the living room. It was huge it had two massive couches and a ND a really huge TV. I went down the hall where there was 2 rooms I entered the first room it was like my brothers but bigger. It had black walls and soft carpet a bed in the middle of the room it had blue sheets, there was a desk on the left wall it had some work onit. A closet   and a bathroom it even had a skate ramp unit for my brother to practice his skateboard tricks. I left the room to go further down the hall to see the second room I opened the door  to see a set of stairs in the middle of the room. I went to see what was on this floor and I saw a Guitar, a keyboard and a desk were I could write my songs and a couch on the wall.  On the opposite wall the was a room that had a microphone that any singer dreamed to have, it was a recording studio I smiled. I went to the stars and walked up them went I got to the top floor I saw a bed it was pushed against the wall the sheets on it were black and had splashes of colours on it. There was a bathroom on the other side of the room and a closet too there was a balcony that looked into the forest. There was photos on the wall and quotes written on them too I smiled and than I saw there was a slide in the room I ran to it. I looked down and couldn't see anything so I jumped on it and than I entered another room it had battle gear and weapons it had a punching bag. My smile started to spread from cheek to cheek, I went up the stairs and was in the kitchen and walked out the door and entered the lounge room. I was stunned this place was amazing I was in love with it I heard the door open and I jumped onto the roof to hide. "you know I was wondering when you found this place" Jax laughed I jumped off the roof and laughed "do you like your room" had asked "I love it" I smiled.

TWENTY-THREE

'What?'

Zach could only stare, his mouth opened wide. The kind, gentle man who had saved their lives was also the one and only Falcon.

'The frick is going on?!'

'This doesn't make sense!'

"Are you going to remain plastered to the door or are you going to come in?" asked Hawke, his head tilting to the side.

Zach's chest lifted in a deep breath.

Falcon was Hawke.

Sebastian Hawke was Falcon.

He was the same man who had saved them. He had been there, near them, when the explosion had gone off. 'Watching us?' He had pulled Zach away from a falling wall. He had saved his life. What was this man playing at? He'd been the cause of the explosion in the first place. Why save them when his track record was covered in blood?

Zach studied the man, looking for any hint of an answer.

"You are a very brave young man."

Zach blinked. Though the man's expression had turned impassive, neutral even, there was an intense amount of emotion whirling within his eyes.

'This is still Falcon.'

'Don't let your guard down.'

Hawke gestured towards himself. "Come along when you're ready. Take your shoes off, though."

The man walked down the hallway. He turned to the left and disappeared. Zach didn't move, rooted to the spot. This wasn't going how he had imagined it. This wasn't how the villain blackmailed the hero. But Falcon wasn't doing anything. He hadn't forced Zach to follow him. He hadn't thrown out any threats nor demands.

Zach gritted his teeth. He'd been expecting a more villainous lair, not this inviting hallway with beautiful landscape paintings on clean white walls. It was too…

Normal.

Criminals weren't supposed to be normal people.

Zach sighed, the tension fading in his body. The pressure lifted from his heart. He shouldn't let this rattle him. It was a plan constructed by Falcon: show his human side to make himself more relatable.

Courage moved his body.

Zach bent down and pulled his shoes off. He set them aside, before stepping up into the hallway. His socked feet slipped slightly against the wooden flooring. At the end of the hallway was a large clock on top of a shelf filled with books and knickknacks. Zach gazed at the paintings on the walls in the hallway. The style looked rather familiar, but he wasn't sure where to place it. They were beautiful, though… something nostalgic about them.

As Zach reached the end of the hallway, he looked to his right. There was a bathroom with the door ajar. To his left, the floorplan opened up into a large living room and kitchen combination. A desk with a computer sat on the right side of the room with a sofa and coffee table to the left. The area was furnished with everything one could want in a home.

Falcon had lived in Templeton Hills long enough to get settled.

This wasn't just a house, a place of dwelling. It wasn't a lair or a temporary place to sleep before going to the next town.

This was a home.

Hawke was sitting at the desk. There were quite a few machines on the desk, a number of them reminding Zach of a hospital. There were numerous vials – 'is that blood?' – syringes, needles, and other things on the desk.

Wonderful.

This man was going to experiment on him, wasn't he?

Hawke turned in his chair; a light lift of his lips played across his face. "So," he said, amusement in his tone. "You finally came inside. I thought you'd stay at the door for another ten minutes at least."

Zach grimaced. Conflicting emotions burned inside his heart. 'This man is Falcon. Saving our lives doesn't erase all the others he's taken.'

It was difficult to separate the two, though.

"Cat got your tongue?"

Zach swallowed back the bile in his throat; he licked his dry lips. Questions stormed his mind, but the flurry couldn't be puzzled through. The tension in his body had returned in full strength.

The man let out a low sigh. He rubbed his face. "Listen, whatever is going on in that brain of yours—" Hawke motioned with his fingers. "—forget it, all right?" he said, his tone demanding. It softened a moment later. "I'm not going to hurt you."

'How can I believe that?'

Yet, against his will, something relaxed inside his chest. Crap. How was the man doing that? He wasn't speaking in that silky tone, like he had the night before. This was his 'Mr. Hawke voice.' Hawke only had to say the right thing and the tension would fade away.

It was a trick.

'Don't believe anything. Come on!'

"Really now, kid, calm down," said Hawke, shaking his head. He stood up. Panic struck. Zach took a few steps backwards. Hawke let out an exasperated huff. "Listen, despite everything, it was never my intention to harm you. I swear it. If you're so afraid, why would you come?"

"I'm not afraid of you," snapped Zach, embarrassment warming his face.

"Really?" A smirk lifted the man's features; his eyes flicked up and down. "You're terrified—"

"Uh, hello?" cried Zach, gesturing wildly. "You're the one who blackmailed me!"

"—but brave. Very brave. I'm impressed."

His chest constricted.

"What do you want?" asked Zach. No more being afraid. He would be cautious; he would be careful, but fear wouldn't paralyze him any more. "I'm here. So, talk."

"You're such a brazen child," drawled Hawke. "And here I thought you had come for a pleasant visit." He snorted. "You can't even enter my living room, kid."

And there was Falcon.

Zach strode into the living room and whirled around, folding his arms near his chest. "Look," he snapped, lifting his shoulders. His arms tightened. "I'm in the living room. Now what?"

"So impatient. So anxious."

Annoyance pricked at him.

"What, am I supposed to guess, then?" asked Zach with a derisive laugh. "Okay, how about a long winded speech about how you're a misguided asshole, who has all of these pathetic reasons justifying why he's a mass murdering psychopath? No? That isn't why I'm here?" Zach snarled. He lifted his hands into the air and made air quotes. "What, no villain monologue?"

Hawke let out a low chuckle. "You watch too much TV, kid."

And there it was again. 'Kid.' It was almost endearing. The man wasn't angry. He didn't even bat an eye at the insults Zach had thrown at him. He was amused. The man thought this was funny.

Hawke stepped forward; alarm flooded through Zach. He was a number of inches taller than Zach, his presence daunting. The man's upper body was bulky, his fitness prevalent throughout his chest and arms. Hawke leaned over slightly, looking down at him with those bright eyes. Zach lifted his head, jutted his chin out, and eyed the man back with all of his defiance. No matter his feelings, he would not show them. He refused to be intimidated by Falcon.

"You're a walking dichotomy," said Hawke; an eyebrow rose. "You came, despite your fear, despite all your preconceptions of how it would be, you still came."

A bird of prey. The man started to circle him. Zach followed the man with his eyes at first, his head slowly turning as Hawke moved out of eyesight. His head whipped around to the other side when the man was out of sight again.

"You didn't come just to protect your friends, now did you?" whispered Hawke. His eyes gleamed. "You were drawn to me. You wanted to know more. You wanted answers."

Zach stiffened. The man paused in front of him, staring down. "Don't kid yourself, Falcon," he growled.

Hawke raised an eyebrow; his mouth lifted in that ever annoying smirk. "No?" he drawled. "Despite the dangers, you came anyway—"

"Because you threatened them!" cried Zach.

"—You wanted to know," whispered Hawke, his low voice a roar inside Zach's ears. "You didn't just come because you're on a self sacrificing hero mission. No. You're so curious, so determined to take me down, you were willing to sacrifice yourself for it."

Zach dropped his gaze. The man's words burned like a scorching inferno. His hands curled into fists. This man knew what buttons to press. Yes, Zach wanted to know more. It didn't take away from the fact that he was also here for them.

Both were valid.

"Are you going to get to the point yet or are you just gonna taunt me all evening? I said it before: you need a hobby."

Hawke chuckled. His lips thinned and he looked away for a moment. There was a flash of uncertainty in his expression, but it disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. Hawke took a deep breath; his head dipped to the side.

"You're aware of how they test for paternity, yes?"

'Okay, that's a weird question.'

Zach frowned. Seriously? This was the topic now? He nodded, not knowing what to say.

"It's easy to do nowadays," said Hawke softly, each word spoken carefully. "With the right equipment, you can do all sorts of things with DNA, right in your own home. And with enough money, the possibilities are endless."

Zach's eyes wandered to the man's desk, gazing at the items there. 'So, he's experimenting with DNA with that stuff? Is that how he has powers?'

"I wish to test it."

His eyes flicked back. Test what? The man wanted what? He wanted to take a paternity test? And why was Zach needed for this?

"I don't understand," said Zach.

The man shifted his weight. There was a long pause. "I wish to do a testing," Hawke said finally.

"You said that," said Zach, annoyed. "I still don't understand. You're trying to find out who your parents are?"

"No, not mine," said Hawke, breaking eye contact.

It was getting more weird by the second. Everything in the man's stance had weakened. He had become neither Falcon nor Hawke. It was uncomfortably out of character from what Zach had seen so far of this man.

"Mine? I know who my parents are."

Hawke let out a ragged sigh. "No, I want to test my DNA."

Alarm bells were ringing in the back of Zach's mind. The man was still not getting to the damn point. Was this going to be an ongoing problem with Falcon?

"Falcon, get to the point," snapped Zach.

"And yours."

More cryptic nonsense. Zach took a full minute trying to decipher the man's broken thoughts. He struggled. He wanted to test their DNA to see their parents, then? Is that what was going on?

"Why?" asked Zach. "Why do you need to test mine, too? I already said I know my parents. Is there a point to this? Get to the friggin' point, Falcon, would you? Quit dancing around here. I can't read minds!"

'Please tell me he just wants to experiment with my DNA and use it for evil. Please tell me he wants my powers for nefarious reasons.'

'He's not… trying to say what I think he is…'

'Please, no.'

Hawke inclined his head slightly, considering for a moment. The blood roared inside Zach's ears.

"I want to test your DNA against mine."

'What…?'

'What?'

"To see if we're related… To see if I'm your father."

'WHAT?!'

The class began to drag on and a headache began to wash over me like the tide washes over the beach. The teacher droned on about something with with sentence structure but I honestly could care less, my mind was too clouded with thoughts of what had transpired this morning from being blackmailed into a pet for Boss to meeting Juan and getting his number. I begin to feel my face begin to burn as the image of Juan enters my mind, blush spreading across my face as I instinctively cover my face with my hands to try and hide my emotions. I continue to lose myself in thought as I begin to block out reality and daydream of home, though my terrible economic status I was happy, but I worked my ass off to get here and Ill be damned if I don't make it through this school. As I continued into my head before I feel a bit of a numb feeling in my arm before I begin to comeback to reality.

"Hugo, Earth to Hugo, come back to the class Hugo" Mr.Kang looked down at me as I slowly joined the class once more. My peers began to laugh as embarrassment over took me and my face turned a deep crimson, I could see Boss snickering as his hard gaze lightened up and a slight smirk. This made me a bit relived as Mr.Kang wrangled the class back to the the subject at hand'

"Now Hugo, I asked the class to describe love and it seems you've so willingly volunteered to read what your own definition of love is, oh and for fun I'd like you to not take paper with you, just define it off the top of your head." 

I couldn't help but let out a gulp as I made my way to the front of the class, wary of the eyes that watch me, their judging glare, the rich looking down on the poor. As I stepped forward anxiety began to overtake me, my heart beat quickened and my throat began to close shut. I began to fidget as I shakily begin to speak

"U-Um hello My name is name is H-Hugo E-E-Ellet, I-In my o-own words love i-is um...."

I began to freeze up, my anxiety gripping onto me and taking a hard hold on me. I began to feel my stomach begin to rise before I felt the burn in my throat. I quickly bolted out of the judgementel gazes of others. The thudding of my heart is all I can hear, my body feels heavy as I stumble into the bathroom. I make my way into an empty small and begin to puke. Losing what little breakfast I had and puking up more, after what seemed like a prolonged eternity of puking I laid back against the wall and began to try to steady my breathing. I couldn't help but put my head between my knees an close my eyes hoping that not only did the acidic taste goes away but the judgemental stares of the class. Damn the rich, damn them and their money, they can all go to hell! I let out a sob with that thought before I heard the bathroom door open with a creek and the fall of feet. I looked up from my little black world and watched as the pair of legs approached the stall I resided in when a knock befell the stall door.

"Hey Pe- I mean Hugo, come on out, no reason for you to be losing your shit over some little presentation. Though it was a bit funny..."

 The masculine calm voice of Boss rang throughout the bathroom. I had no energy to even reply to him, letting out a squeak before my throat closed up once more, tears once more stinging my eyes as I sobbed a little more. Without any warning Boss had claimed over the bathroom stall walls and was standing before me with his angry gaze. He looked over me before letting out a sigh and letting his scary gaze soften, I tried to not meet his gaze but the scary look he carried almost forced me to meet his.

"Come on, get off this piss covered floor and let me take you to the nurses office, It looks like you've lost more that just your lunch."

He bent down for what I assumed at first was a hand but he instead picked me up bridal style, carrying me out of the bathroom like I was some life sized doll, paying no mind to those we passed that gave us weird looks. I couldn't help but be confused, he was being kind to me which didn't make sense but the way he held me was gentle and with that of care. I could feel his heat as he walked down the halls and into the nurse who was attending to another student. I could hear his heart beat at a steady rhythm as he held me and waited for the nurse to finish with the other student. I began to feel hot as Boss kept me in his arms, unable to make any sense of what the hell was going on that called for such a drastic change in character. After about two minutes of waiting Boss laid me on the bed and went to talk to the nurse, what the hell is going on? The nurse smiled and quickly handed me a bottle of water, a bread roll and some medicine before Boss sat on the bed and looked at me.

"Hugo, you understand that you had an anxiety attack? A full blown one too..... Sigh, please don't scare people like that, me especially. You had me scared to death." 

He began to rub his temples as he tried to straighten his thoughts but I was the one who needed to straighten my thoughts!

"U-um boss I-"

He quickly cut me off

"It's not it's Troy Sharp, call me Troy. You may be my pet but I still want you to call me my name. The other f**ks are too stupid to call me it in fear." 

I fell silent as I finally learned my blackmailer's name, unable to fathom that he had a name and he was being so kind

"If you think I'm being nice your funny Hugo, I'm simply treating you like a person but no matter what your my pet. If I want something from you Ill get it, thats for sure"

He chuckled and pushed me against the bed, forcing me to lie down as he weirdly began to play with my hair in boredom. The feeling of having someone play with my long hair was nice, unfamiliar yet put me at ease as I began to feel my eyelids get heavy as a curtain of black was pulled over my eyes. This has to be a dream.....

Highschool is a place where teenagers begin to truly learn who they are and this story is no different. Hugo Halomin is 15 and a sophomore, now joining Hilltop High, an illustrious private school where only male students with either rich parents or political power go to school to take up their family names. But Hugo is not one of these rich and up comers with a name to stand behind. He's a commoner, not meant to learn at an illustrious place like Hilltop and all of his peers make sure to remind him of it but one goes out of his way everyday to make sure he knows his place. "I came here to find an important thing that I lost" Ai says
    "Aww! That's so dramatic! Is it a boy?" Yuki asks
    "It's a person who I loved the most!" Ai replies
   "Person? She's so dramatic!" Lufan quotes to Yue
   "You think so. I find her weird!" Yue says
    "Weird? Why?" Lufan asks
  "She was staring at-" Before Yue could finish Jiang, Sora and Kai came to their seat
   "Staring at what?" Lufan asks
    "Nothing..." Yue replies
   "Did we miss anything?" Jiang asks
    "Yeah! Yue's cookie! (Everyone laughs expect Yue)" Lufan replies sarcastically.
  Kai was staring at Yue for a long time. He knew she wasn't alright.
     "What's wrong Yue? What are you thinking about?" Kai asks. Everyone stares at her.
     "She seems alright to me!" Sora quotes.
     "She wasn't alright since that new girl arrived! She finds her weird" Lufan says
     "Weird? How funny! She looks cute to me!" Jiang says
      "Is that true? You find her weird?" Kai questions her.
But before Yue could answer, the bell rang. Everyone went back to their seats.
    "What's wrong Yue?" Kai asks Yue 
    "Uhmm! That is- (her maths teacher entered and started taking class)" Yue struggles to finish her sentence.
   "So, that's how you solve this equation!" The teacher says
The bell rang and it was History period. The class went very fast. It was already P.E period. Kai, Sora and Jiang went to play basketball. Lufan went to play badminton. Yue was left alone. She was sitting in the stairs and was watching her friends play.
    "Kai is so handsome isn't it?" Ai asks Yue and sits next to her. 
    "Yeah!" Yue replies
    "How long were you dating Kai?" Ai asks her curiously
     "Uh! How did you know?" Yue asks her
   "Uhm..That is-" Sora came and sat next to them all of a sudden. Ai didn't finish her sentence. She left leaving them alone. Before she could leave, Yue stood up and shouted
    "Meet me at the rooftop during lunch!" Yue shouted to Ai. Ai noded and left. Sora was confused about what was happening.
    "What's all this commotion about?" Sora asks.
     "Huh! Sora, I want to tell you something important! Come with me!" Yue says as she grabs his wrist and takes to the rooftop.
     "What you want?" Sora asks
    "Sora, I'm dating Kai! I'm sorry for not informing you about it. (She bows her head) Forgive me!" Yue says to Sora
Sora knew about it already. He acted as if he doesn't know about it for many days. He pranked Yue like he was sad.
   "Uhm... Is it? I'm your best friend... You didn't tell me about it! (starting crying but it was fake tears)" Sora started acting
   "I didn't want to hurt you that's why I didn't tell you. (Hears Sora chuckling).... Ayee!! Was it a prank?" Yue shouts at him
   "You think I don't know about it! (giggling).... You're damn funny Yue!" Sora laughs
    "Hate you!! (walks away)!" Yue says
   "(puts his hands over Yue's shoulder)... Hey! Brush it off! Let's go and eat! I'll give you treat!" Sora says
    "Promise?" Yue asks
   "Promise!" Sora replies
They both went to the ground and joined their group. 
   "Where were you both?" Lufan questions them.
     "Rooftop! Yue said something that I knew already" Sora says
    "What? Did she say that Kai and She are dating?" Jiang asks
    "Yeah! She thought we doesn't know about it! Weird girl!" Sora says
     "That means... You guys knew it before?" Kai exclaims
    "Of course Yes! We are your friends Kai. How can we not know about this?" Lufan says
    "We are sorry guys! We thought that you'll feel bad about it." Yue apologies
   "It's okay! Bell is going to ring soon. Where should we eat?" Jiang asks
   "Hmm... I'm sorry! I wouldn't able to join y'all for lunch!" Yue says
    "Why?" Kai asks
    "She's gonna speak about an important thing to Ai" Sora says
    "Really? What is about?" Lufan asks
    "I think I should tell everything. I did a research on Ai Sakurada. She is..." Yue says
The bell rang and she finished explaining everything to them. Kai was freezed by what she said.
    "It can't be!" Lufan exclaims
   "There must be a mistake!" Jiang says
    "I'm 100% true about it" Yue says confidently
      "Does she know about it?" Sora asks
    "I don't know about it... But I need to ask her about it. Bye guys! I'll go!" Yue says and starts walking
      "Let us also come!" Kai says
   "Yeah! We want to know about it too" Lufan says
Yue nods and everyone follows her. They all hid in the stairs. Ai was waiting.
     "Sorry for making you wait.... Ai Qi" Yue says politely
      "It's okay, Ying Yue" Ai said with a smirk

Kai walked through the silent corridor, checking for the room with the number.
"This is the one," said Kai excitedly as he stood before the door with the number 40402 on it. He then inserted the key in the keyhole and púlled the door handle, opening it. After he entered, the door automatically closed behind him.
The room was 100 square meters brightened by magic lamps attached to the roof. It had a single large bed, two lockers and two almirahs side by side attached to the right wall of the room. There were also two big windows and a small balcony in between them, with its door opposite the entrance of the room.
The bathroom was on the right side of the room.
Kai was just looking around the room when the door of the bathroom opened and a beautiful woman came out, spreading out the fresh scent of shampoo through the room.
She had white hair with a silvery glow that reached her waist, and enchanting ruby eyes.
She looked at Kai in panic and tried to hold the bath towel to cover her body so that it didn't fall.
Kai, on the other hand, was shocked by the sudden appearance of a beautiful girl in his room and couldn't help from looking at the beauty carefully.
Feeling Kai's gaze, the girl looked at Kai with piercing cold eyes.
"What are you looking at, pervert?" said the girl in a cold voice.
Hearing that, Kai finally came back to his senses.
"Cough cough cough. Sorry about that." Kai turned around and left the room.
BANG
The door closed behind Kai as he took a sigh of relief with a smile on his face.
"Oh! Why did you come out of your room suddenly?"
Kai looked to his left and a middle-aged woman wearing an apron was walking towards his room while dragging a rolling table cart with food on it.
"Hello," said Kai.
"So you are Kai Seft, the new student Old Black was talking about." She looked at Kai carefully and smiled.
"I am the dormitory supervisor, you can call me aunt Delfonia. Usually, helpers would be the ones to come serve dinner, but I wanted to meet you. Could you help me open the door? I need to take this thing inside."
Kai helped her by opening the door of his room and the lady smiled and entered the room. Kai followed her and went inside.
Inside the room, the beauty was sitting on the bed wearing a blue-colored nightdress. When she saw the middle-aged woman, she stood up and greeted her, and with a cold expression, she pointed at Kai.
"Aunt Delfonia, this guy entered my room. Doesn't he know that this room belongs to me?"
Kai felt that he was being wrongly accused and looked at Delfonia.
Delfonia smiled. "You just moved today, so you definitely don't know about the traditions of the inner court.

"You... you... really are Kai," said Alice shocked.
"Hehehe, now do you believe me?" asked Kai with a smile.
Alice nodded.
"So turn around and face the wall. I am going to take off my clothes and take a bath." Kai went and opened the almirah, taking out a towel. He then took off his clothes and wore the towel around his waist and entered the bathroom.
Hearing the sound of the shower coming from the bathroom, Alice finally turned around and looked at the bathroom door and walked towards the table cart. She opened the lower door and took out a portable folding table and placed the food on it while she waited for Kai.

"Good morning," he spoke as I turned in my bed. 

I didn't open my eyes but I could hear the smile in his voice. 

"Good morning, what time is it?" I asked him in my sleep.

Oh God! I was talking to the ghost again. I sat up straight, instantly getting a head-rush. All the thoughts from last night started to pour back in. 

"Babe, what are you doing? You'll fall sick again if you are not careful," Zara scolded me in her sleep 

"Yeah sorry, I am just excited to go to the office today," I lied easily. 

"You can stay home today, you know, I have a lot to discuss with you. So many things to tell you and to know about you." The ghost was talking to me again. 

Was my mind really so creative that it made up a ghost who looked nothing less than an angel? Although I was not scared of him anymore but it still felt wrong. 

Unconsciously I was staring at him and it prompted him to ask, "What's wrong? Are you scared of me again? Do I need to say and explain everything again like I did yesterday?" 

I wanted to reply but Zara was beside me, so I signaled him to follow me to the bathroom. He did so easily, passing through walls, jarring me again; could I really imagine this? 

"Firstly, for the record, this is the last time you are following me to the bathroom. You are not supposed to be here when I am using it." I hissed in a dominating tone. 

He looked amused. "Trust me, I won't." 

"And no funny business, get it?" I prodded a finger at his chest and realized how close we were standing; a quick shiver ran through my body. 

"Trust me; I won't sneak up on you. I am not that kind of person." He stressed on the 'trust me' and I believed him despite myself. 

"Fine. I don't even know if you are real – hopefully you are just a figment of my imagination or a result of my messed-up head," I was mostly talking to myself, but that really irritated him. 

"WHAT?" 

"Sshh, calm down, Zara will hear you," I hissed angrily. 

"Don't you get it? Nobody except you can hear me!" He still looked enraged. 

"For the first time I can talk to someone – in months – and that stupid female thinks I am fictitious!" 

"What?" he asked and I tried not to smile. 

He was just so adorable. 

"Look, I am not saying that you are not real, it's just that I am not able to digest that I have a ghost whom I can talk to or touch. It's surreal, surely." 

I finished explaining, it felt weird. 

"I understand it will take some time to get used to but please believe me, you have no idea how important this is for me," he murmured softly, stepping even closer.

Cursing the dark, I decided to step out and find someone who could tell me what was going on. To my utter surprise, I realized I was in a hospital.

“Don’t touch me, you freak. Nothing is happening to me. I am fine, I feel fine, and I am going to my room to rest,” I yelled and I started to reach out for the door-knob but I just couldn’t. 

I tried again, but my hand just passed through it. How? 

“What is happening to me?” I shouted, instantly freaking out. I tried catching it again but I could not touch it. I pushed the door but instead of pushing it, I passed through it and fell on the floor. 

He was immediately beside me, trying to help. 

Scared to death, I pushed him away and started to crawl backwards, hoping to get away from the scary man and also hoping to find something to rest my back on, but instead of finding something, I crossed the bars of a bed and was now almost in a drawer…I stood up shrieking and started to run everywhere in a haphazard manner when suddenly my eyes fell on a still figure on a hospital bed. 

Lying there was a lump of a woman. She was in the worst state possible, bruised everywhere and had a huge bandage on her head. Tubes stuck out from every orifice. She was breathing off a life support system… She was barely alive. She was me.

Another day at school when Travis starts harassing you once again quotes like, "shut up, you faggot stop talking!" And "you don't deserve to live!" started to get to you. "Maybe he was right maybe if I do ki-," you thought as you run into the man of the hour, Travis. "Hey loser, you were who I was looking for." He says in a hurtful tone. 
"I don't want to see you th-" you trail off. As he picks you up by your collar. He drags you down the hall as your fight or flight kick in and you start trying to fight him kicking, punching you even bit him once. A teacher saw and told you to stop trying to pick a fight with someone you will not win to. She also sent you to the principals office. 
"You will be suspended for three days for hurting another student." She said in a calm tone. 
"What? You didn't do anything to Travis when he-" 
She cut you off saying," what's in the past is in the past, I'm calling your mother to tell her to come pick you up." 
You walk out. Running to the bathroom. " I can't cry at school again." You mumble to yourself. Your mom picks you up and doesn't say a word to you in the car or elevator and then like something clicks in her head starts to yell at you. "What the hell is wrong with you!?" You respond with," take me to a therapist or watch the cameras at school and you'll know!" 
"Don't tell me how to raise you!" 
"Fine just let me be like this all my life!" You yell as you stomp to your room. Maybe you should kill yourself maybe everyone would be happier? You didn't know and if you do it you wouldn't find out. Your mom knocks on your door and says she's going to dinner with her boss. And when she left you look to see if anyone else is there. No one was so you grab a razor and a screwdriver to get the blades out.  You got them out and started writing letters to: Sally, Larry, Ashley, Todd, Mom, and  Travis. Travis is the reason your doing this. You gave sally the bag full of letters and tell him to open them tomorrow. He said okay. 

You go to the bathroom and start cutting, red falls down, tears fill your eyes it hurts but it will not hurt for long. You feel dizzy when you hear bangs on the door before you can see who it is you 'fall asleep'.

Her heart beat suddenly started beating very fast when she is thinking about him,

'Heart beats fast...'
She snapped out of it and calmed her heart beat,
'Come on! Tina. You can't let the freak win!'
Then she immediately left the bathroom and moved towards Jim.
He is still sitting on the chair and lightly smiling. 
She went near him and said with confidence, "Jim Chin. Are you full. I've to go home!"
He replied with a cute smile, "Nope. Your lobster was very tasty. The aftertaste's still lingering!"
She yelled with blushing and nervousness, "Jim Chin! Are you done?"
Then he stood up and started moving towards the exit door. 
A moment later, he immediately stop and turned around, "Ha Ha Ha. Your reactions are so funny. Let's go. I'll take you to a place."
She stopped him and said, "I've had dinner with you. I don't wanna see you anymore!"
He took out his phone and said with a threatening smile, "Don't you want the photo? Huh?"
She replied with an angry face, "So mean!"

15 mins later, 
Inside the lobby of a big building, 
Tina asked him with hesitation, "Where are we going?"
He replied with a naughty smile, "Are you scared?"
She yelled in anger and blushing, "Don't forget what you promised me!!"
"Don't worry I haven't!"
Then they went to a lift. 

At the 33rd floor, 
Jim is moving towards a room and Tina is following behind him.
She asked in confusion, "What's the place?"
He calmly replied, "My home."
When she heard this, her body froze and she said in hesitation and a little fear, "Why....Why do you take me to your home?" She is thinking in her mind, 'Does he wanna do.....'
He cut her line and said, "Just come in and have a look."

He took out a key card and put it on the sensor of the door. Then the door opened itself, "Clack..."
They both enters in the room. 
She is surprised because the room is very luxurious. The walls and lights are very bright, it was very modern room with lots of hi-tech things. 
Suddenly her eyesight fell on a portrait which is kept at centere of that room.
She is shocked because the portrait was of her own back, it was very beautiful and real like a woman is really sleeping inside that portrait. 
Tina is thinking in her mind, 'Is....Is this...'
She moved towards that painting and gently touched it, 'Me!?'
She was lost for a moment in that beautiful picture of her.
A moment later she turned around and asked in hesitation and confusion, "Jim Chin. What....What does this mean!?
He replied with a smile while tapping his forehead lightly, "It means.....there's no photo at all!"
"It's all in my mind!"
