❝ 1500 B.C.E. ⏤ Near Lake Ur ❞
[About half a days' march from the Village of Badr.]

The scorching heat from the afternoon sun burned the backs of the men.
Despite the minimal cotton garbs they wore over their chests and thighs, and the headscarves that protected their napes, the fierce Southern heat was simply too unbearable for the men of Badr clan to bear.
But at least the azure waters of Lake Ur, that lay below them, felt refreshing to the touch.
As they waded through the waters, in boats made of straw and wood, the men vigilantly looked around.
The lake was bottomless, and murky from the plants underneath. Yet it held a majestic and welcoming glow, that always made passerby's delighted. However, little did these passerby's know, but this was only because the Lake was enchanted.
And that was why these Badr men were currently here. These six youths were this year's "Chosen Ones" for the expeditionary trip to Lake Ur.
The expeditionary trip happened twice a year, in which men from the Clan traveled to the lake to check for monsters and other creatures that could bring harm to their source of magical water. To be a "Chosen One" was an honorable and extraordinary feat, that only a few men ever tasted — and these were the only six this year to have accomplished that feat.
Suddenly, a ripple in the water caught a certain man's eyes.
He shouted out a warning to his comrades, and all eyes turned towards the ripple, in apprehension. Each man picked up his spear, their vigilant eyes not leaving the spot.
But despite their alertness, what emerged out of the waters left each man shocked.
With an enormous splash that knocked over each of the men's boats, a large alligator's open mouth, with sparkling teeth that shone under the scorching sun, arose beneath them. Due to being exposed to the magical properties of the water, the alligator had turned thrice it's size, with canine teeth as big as a normal person's entire hand from thumb to shoulder.
All the men tightened their grips on the sides of their boats, as fear flashed in their eyes.
"Wakt esf megzhak Aksura!" One of the men shouted.
The language that left his lips was centuries old, something so ancient that people could not decipher it in present times. However, in the days that this story took place in, this language was a common tongue.
"What the hell is that Demon!" He was saying.
"We will all drown if that monster gets a hold of our boats!" Another shouted, agreeing.
As if it were planned, both the men turned together to the person at the center of their triangle boat formation.
The boats lurched front and back, as the alligator slowly made its way towards the group of men. It was as if the previous tranquility of the lake had vanished, and panic enveloped the hearts of the men.
"Aryan, please!" One of them shouted, waiting for the instructions from their General, to flee from the monster. It was impossible to battle the monster while they were atop the lake, as it could easily drown them. And once they were inside the water, not even the mighty God Valor would be able to save them from being devoured.
With a pleading look in his eyes, the man looked at his captain.
The Aryan. He was the man who had been silently standing, observing the situation. But after the cries of his comrades reached his ears, he slowly picked up his long trident. His golden hair gently flowed in the cool breeze, and his eyes calmly analyzed his opponent. It was like the panic of the other men was too trivial for this one.
"Men," His voice was refined and calm, and strangely reassuring for the men, "Do not fear."
The other five stared at this man; their Aryan. Their General.
With pure, emerald eyes, that seemed to be hooded by his thick lashes, and a unique golden hue for his hair that fell like waves of dripping gold atop his head, he seemed regal, almost noble-looking, with the kind of confidence which was uncommon in normal village men.
If being chosen as one of the expeditionary men was honorable, being appointed the Aryan (the supreme General) of these chosen men was an even more prestigious thing. And currently, within their clan, there was only one man in his youth capable of handling such a post.
In the blazing sunlight, he stood straight, a symbol of their clan's pride, that struck terror and respect in friends and foe alike.
He, who was named Kian.
That simple syllable was the name of their famous General.
Unlike the other five men, Kian, otherwise collectively called by his title of "Aryan" or General, wore a detailed beige tunic and black harem pants, signifying his distinguishing class in the hierarchy of their Clan.
Full clothes, that covered one's entire body, were a sign of status and power in the village.
Once again, the men stood still, struck by the man in front of him. It wasn't because of the General's handsome face, that seemed to have been carved like one of the statues of Valor, but because of the exalted air around him.
These normal clansmen were not used to seeing someone as extraordinary as Kian, and so, whenever the General would talk to them, they could only muster the courage to stare inconspicuously or bow repeatedly.
Everybody in the expeditionary group looked up to Kian as if he were the reincarnation of God, Himself. After all, there was nobody in the entire Badr Clan who did not know his name. 'How could a person as perfect as this exist, and not be divinely blessed?' They would wonder.
'Kian' was the protector of the entire village. In fact, rumors said that the Clan Leader Bakar was thinking of making Kian the new head, instead of his own son! That was how prominent this man called Kian was, at least in the eyes of the Badr clansfolk.
"What should we do, Aryan...?" One of the men asked. His eyes were strangely filled with a new-found hope at Kian's words, 'Do not fear.' He reckoned that their General probably had some plan to escape this predicament.
Meanwhile, the water lurched to even greater heights, as the huge alligator-monster slowly approached them.
'It was absolutely crazy to fight that thing, but...'
The men's eyes followed Kian and his every movement.
'It feels like... if we follow HIM... we could surely reach victory!'
"We fight." Kian's roaring calm voice graced the travel-worn men, "After me, warriors!"
And saying so, the golden crown of their Aryan disappeared into the dark waters below, with his trident pointing venomously at the creature closing in.

A helicopter with the Beiming family emblem on it stirred up a tumultuous gust of wind, then slowly landed on the ground.
A sniper hopped out of the plane with a rifle in his hand to greet his master.
Beiming Shaoxi walked off the plane wearing a military green mid-length coat and long brown boats. He was so handsome that he could have walked straight out of a royal portrait.
His glacial cerulean blue eyes gleamed with madness, and he appeared majestically regal.
The strong wind lifted the corners of his shirt, and he stepped on broken pieces of glass as he entered through the ground-floor window that he had shot, which was beneath an arched Roman column.
Sen Xinmeng's heart lurched, and she resisted the urge to scream—
Ji Anan frowned. How had he known that she was there?
The corners of Beiming Shaoxi's mouth were curled up in a haughty smirk, and towering subordinates followed closely behind him.
The Sen family's bodyguards didn't dare make any moves when they saw that it was Young Master Beiming.
A powerful arm grabbed Ji Anan by the waist and pulled her into his arms as he stared at her bruised face. "Did you get hit?"
"What are you doing here?" Ji Anan awkwardly struggled to free herself.
Beiming Shaoxi let out a peal of cold laughter. "I'm here to rescue my fiancée so she doesn't get herself killed."
"Who's your fiancée?! I have nothing to do with you!"
"We kissed, touched, and slept with each other, and you call that nothing?" Beiming Shaoxi's fingers gripped her jaw as he caressed it with his thumb.
His ocean blue eyes had the air of a lofty nobleman.
He looked absolutely dominant!
His aura was so overbearing that people couldn't turn away…
Just him simply standing there was enough to make Sen Xinmeng's heart start beating wildly, so she couldn't utter a single word.
Seeing him hold Ji Anan in his arms made her blood boil with rage.
The Beiming family and the Sen family had long been acquainted. Sen Xinmeng had always looked upon and admired Beiming Shaoxi from afar. In her eyes, he had always appeared mysteriously aloof. He rarely smiled and always wore the same poker face.
Yet when he looked at Ji Anan, his eyes lit up brightly, and his expressions became animated.
He had even personally come to rescue her!
"You must have gone crazy, Beiming Shaoxi." Ji Anan swatted his hand away and freed herself from his grasp.
Beiming Shaoxi was set on his prey. If he had his sights set on a woman, how could he let an outsider harass her?
"The Beimings are withdrawing all of their investments." Beiming Shaoxi gave Sen Xinmeng a hard look.
Throughout all these years, the Sen family had been heavily supported by the Beiming family.
Sen Xinmeng snapped back to attention and stammered, "Why? Brother Shaoxi, I can't decide something this important. My father, he—"
"If you continue to harass her, then it won't be as simple as withdrawing our investments." Beiming Shaoxi's hand caressed Ji Anan's cheek. The slight bruise on her face was an eyesore to him.
Sen Xinmeng choked back a sob as she uttered, "Our families' deep ties can't even compare to a mere woman?"
"Wife," he corrected her.
"I'm not married to you!" Ji Anan was shaking with rage.
Beiming Shaoxi indifferently said, "Soon, you will be."
"How can you be so sure?"
"When I have my mind set on something, I don't stop until I get it." Beiming Shaoxi had been assured from the moment he decided that he wanted her that she would never escape his clutches.
Sen Xinmeng was shocked by the fiery look of possessiveness in his eyes.
Was this really the same Brother Shaoxi that she knew?
Lofty and chaste, he never shot a single glance at any woman…
Why would he be so protective of and affectionate towards such an ugly girl?!
His strong arms scooped Ji Anan up into his arms, and before he left, Beiming Shaoxi didn't forget to take the recorder that was on the desk.
Ji Anan thrashed around as she struggled to free herself from his arms. "Put me down!"

September 1st is one of the few days King Cross Station was filled with children around the ages of 11 through 18 and their parents. There is one family that stands out from the rest of all the chaos of the world. Their chins were held high up in the air to show some authority or rule over everyone else. The eldest was a woman; her hair was turning grey fast, but she had no desire to hide it. It was her alone with three children. Walburga Black was never one to stay in the muggle world for too long. Once she and her children reached the wall between platforms 9 and 10, she stopped them. "Do you remember what to do now?" She asked 2 of her children. The two nodded their heads. They looked so similar that the only difference you could tell was one was a boy, and one was a girl. She nodded back to them, and the boy started to stroll up to the wall, and then at the last minute, he went through the wall. "Lyra follows Sirius, please. Regulas and I will be right behind you." She said at the girl. "Yes, mother." The girl chanted back. 
Lyra was a bit nervous; she had never done this before. When she got her Hogwarts letter, she was over the moon, excited. She had heard so much from her older cousins. She was only allowed to talk about 2 of them, though. Andromeda was disowned for loving a muggle-born. She was only in her seventh year, not even out of Hogwarts when she was disowned. Bellatrix already graduated and was to marry Rodolphus Lestrange. Lyra never liked him. She had only met him twice, and he was never kind to her. Her last cousin was still in Hogwarts, though. Narcissa is in her fourth year. She'll most likely marry Lucius Malfoy, who was in the year above Narcissa.
 She then started for the wall. Right as she approached it, she closed her eyes and opened them again when she was through. She saw Sirius there smiling at her. She smiled back. Right behind her baby brother was a giant red train. As she was admiring the train, someone tapped her shoulder. She quickly turned around, thinking it was her mother, but it was Narcissa smiling at her. "Cissy!" The young girl exclaimed. She threw herself at her cousin. "Hello, Lyra." The older girl said to the one wrapped around her waist. Lyra quickly let go and brushed herself off. Then her mother walked through the wall with her younger brother Regulas. Her mother looked at Narcissa and smiled. "How are you today, Narcissa?" Her mother asked. "I am good. Thank you for asking Aunt Walburga." The girl said. 
"Now children, you should be getting on the train and find a compartment. Remember to write once you get into Slytherin. " She said to Sirius and Lyra. "Yes, mother." The two chanted back. "Now, off you go." She said, kissing them on the cheek and pushing them towards the train. 
Narcissa was already in a compartment with her friends, so Lyra and Sirius had to find one by themselves. They roamed around the train for a while before finding one that was empty. They entered the compartment and started to lift their luggage to the racks above. Lyra wasn't mighty, so it was much harder for her to lift her trunk. She didn't want to ask Sirius for help because he was struggling a little bit too. Then their compartment door opened, and a boy walked in. As soon as he walked in, he saw the girl struggling. 
"Do you need some help?" He asked her. "Yes, please." She said, setting her trunk down. The boy quickly lifted the chest to the racks. "Thank you," Lyra responded with, "It's not a problem. I'm James Potter, and you are?" He asked them."I'm Lyra Black, and this is my brother Sirius." She said, taking a seat next to her brother. James's eyes widened. "Did you just say, Black?" He questioned. "yeah were from the noble and regal house of Black." Sirius said in a dramatic tone. James laughed, but Lyra frowned. "Not funny, Sirius." She told him. "Lighten up, Lyra," Sirius said. At that same moment, two others walked into the compartment. "Hi, can we sit here, everywhere else is full?" A girl with red hair asked them. "Yes, absolutely," James said. He looked like he had just seen an angel. Boys Ugh...
"Come on, Severus." The girl said, sitting next to James. He scouted over, so there was room for all of them. Then a boy with greasy black hair stepped in and sat next to her. Lyra was assuming he was the Severus the redhead was talking about. "I'm Lilly, and this is Severus. Who might all of you be?" She asked, very politely. "I'm James Potter. This is Lyra and Sirius Black. You look lovely today is I might add." James said with a smile in Lilly's direction. You could see the blush creep up on to her cheeks."What house are you lot think you'll get into? I'm hoping I will get into Gryffindor. Ravenclaw would be very lovely too." She was so bubbly. The exact opposite of Lyra. "Sirius and I are hoping for Slytherin, isn't that right, Siri?" She said, using the nickname she had for him. Sirius hesitated. "Slytherin is nice, but you know that I'm not really Slytherin material. I'm sort of hoping for Gryffindor." He said casually, looking at his twin.  Lyra looked at him like he just lost his head. She never knew Sirius felt this way. If he did get into Gryffindor, then they would be separated. "You shouldn't worry, Sirius. I know you're cut out for Slytherin. Just remember what mother and father told us." She said, squeezing his hand lightly. 
"Well, I'm most defiantly a Gryffindor. My entire family has been in Gryffindor; there is no other house for me." James said proudly. "What about you, Severus?" I asked him quickly. "I'm hoping, Slytherin." He said. I smiled at him.

Soon enough, we were all changed and on the platform ready to go to Hogwarts. "Right, then! First years! This way, please! Come on, now, don't be shy! Come on now, hurry up!" A man yelled. He was taller than most of the students and twice as wide. She was glad to be off the train. James wouldn't stop bugging Lilly about going on a date with him. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous that he wanted to date anyone we are too young. We're only 11, and there is not much to do around the castle till 3rd year anyway. " Right then. This way to the boats! Come on, now, follow me." The giant man yelled.
 We all followed him to a whole bunch of boats floating on the water. James, Sirius, and I all got into the boats. Another scrappy young boy followed us. "Hello. I'm Remus." He said. I looked him up and down he had thin white scars all over his face and hands. "Hello, I'm Sirius, and this is my sister Lyra and over here is James," Sirius said with a blush. I smiled slightly at him. I looked back out at the water, and there was a Hogwarts. Everyone around me was gaping in amazement. I just looked up, adoringly at the giant castle. 
Soon we were off the boats and in the castle. We were waiting in a hallway when an older witch stood at the front of the group. "Welcome to Hogwarts. Now, in a few moments, you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you can take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Now while you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn your house points. Any rule-breaking, and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup." She started then looked back at the closed doors. "The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily." She added and then left going towards the great hall. Once she was gone, we all started to talk about ourselves. "I can't believe we're actually here, Siri," I said to him with a smile. "Yeah, I can't believe it either." He said, smiling back at me. "We're ready for you now. Follow me." The older witch said.
 Soon were lead into the great hall I think is what Bella called it. Everyone in the hall was starring at us. We stood at the front of the hall, and they're on a stool was a hat. In a matter of seconds, it came alive.
 " John Abbott," McGonagall yelled. A short boy with blonde hair walked up to the hat. I knew him slightly. I've seen him at a few of my parent's parties; he was part of the scarred 28. He sat on the stool, and the hat was placed over his head; it dipped down to cover his eyes. In about a minute, the hat called out "HUFFLEPUFF" The hat was taken off his head, and he walked over to his cheering house. 
"Lyra Black," McGonagall called my name. My heart was pounding. I walked up to the stool and sat down. The hall was completely silent. The hat was dropped on my head, and it covered my eyes, so everything was completely black. "Hhhmmm. Another Black, but you're different from the rest. Your smarter but not willing to go to Ravenclaw. So not Ravenclaw then, and Hufflepuff is out of the question for a brilliant girl like you. You've got what it takes to make it in both Gryffindor and Slytherin. I can't see the future, but I know one day both of us might regret this decision." the hat said then yelled out, "SLYTHERIN" I smiled brightly. Then looked at Sirius and gave him a quick smile. He smiled back. I walked toward The green and silver table and sat next to Narcissa. She gave me a quick side hug, then we sat down.
 "Sirius Black," McGonagall called out again. The whole hall went silent back. Sirius walked up to the hat, and it was dropped on his head just like mine; it dropped below his eyes. The hat took a minute and then yelled. "GRYFFINDOR." my heart sank. No one was cheering. Then the Gryffindor table hoped up and was clapping wildly. I could see Sirius smile and walk towards them. He then caught my eye, and I glared at him. His smile dropped as I looked away from him.  
The rest of the ceremony went fine. I didn't listen much after that just clapped when Narcissa clapped. Soon a boy plopped down in front of me and smiled. I smiled back and went back to the ceremony. Once everyone has been sorted, the headmaster Dumbledore stood up. "Welcome, students new and old. As usual, here are a few reminders for this year. The forbidden forest is off-limits to anyone and everyone. I hope everyone has a peaceful year and does well on every exam that is to come there way. Thank you, and let the feast begin." He said and sat down soon food appeared in front of everyone. I loaded my plate with all the food I wanted and then started to eat. 
"Hello, I'm Turner Parkinson." The boy that sat in front of me said. "Hello, I'm Lyra. Lyra Black." I spoke with a smile. "I know. I've seen you at a few parties before." He said with a smile. I gave a slight giggle, and then Sirius entered my mind. Since Sirius and I are twins, we have a thing called twin telepathy. "Lyra, can you please talk to me. I want to sort all of this out." He whispered. "I don't want to talk to you now or ever Black," I said. I couldn't find it in me to call him by his first name. I quickly looked over at him. He was laughing and smiling with Potter and the boy we meet on the boats. I looked back to Turner real quick. He smiled at me. "I'm sorry about your brother." He said. I smiled back. "Sorry, I don't have a brother anymore," I said.

Then the next day Sirius tried to talk to me, but I wouldn't let him. I continued to talk and get closer to Turner. I guess I was starting to fancy him a little bit. I also watched Potter continue to ask out his precious Lilly pad. That was his new nickname for her. When she rejected him again, Turner and I both snickered. But as the day went by, I couldn't get what the sorting hat said to me out of my head. I just hope the hat wasn't right.

Everyone knows James Potter for either his talent on the Quidditch pitch, his undying love for Lilly Evans, or his involvement as a leader of the infamous group that terrorizes the castle every day. Everybody loves and adores James to no end. They all either want to be his friend or have him as their lover.
On the other hand, Lyra Black is the twin sister of Sirius Black. Everybody knows her because she is top student of their year and has a reputation of being a bad girl. Nobody will dare cross her cause they all fear her.
Lyra sits on the path of darkness, but what if someone tries to change that after one fatal night throws the two into a fury of love, hate, heartbreak, and trust.

Elizabeth, Benedict, and Shirley sighed. They all felt a bit sad. Soon, Elizabeth and her friends stepped off to greet the Royal Family's escort. At this point, the fifty-thousand strong army was unnecessary because they were in Alzar waters! Although the political situation was tumultuous, it was all undercurrents. No one was moving publicly. Compared to the Xingyuu Empire, it was like day and night. Despite that, Queen Bethnal did not get complacent and had sent the strongest reasonable escort! Fifteen Royal Guards, one hundred Grand Knights, and several hundred Great and High Knights were present. Altogether, the force was three thousand strong!
A few high-ranking officials from the Zino Kingdom came forth to offer their greetings but Elizabeth bluntly refused any invitations. She was dreadfully tired. The girl boarded the Royal Warship and departed with her friends. General Illion and General Gordon were also onboard, as they needed to report everything directly to the Royal Assembly. Soon, Presharvo Port was off in the distance. Their next destination was Lour Island! Elizabeth wanted to personally drop her friend off.
Realizing that her time with her friends was coming to an end, Elizabeth was particularly gloomy and dispirited. She did not feel like doing anything. Shirley tried to raise her spirits, but the truth was hard to avoid. And so like this, the fleet drew closer to Lour Island. Here, there were many islands of various sizes. The white fluffy snow-covered islands were particularly eye-catching in the blue waters. To Elizabeth, it looked beautiful, but also sad. Lour Island was already quite close to the Zino Kingdom, so the fleet arrived within a few days of travel.
Lour Island was a medium-sized island with a few towns. The landscape was littered with flora, which if it was not winter, would have been a sight to see. Shirley was from was the biggest town called Tino. Although it was called the biggest town, in reality, it was quite small. Only several thousand people lived here. Calling it remote would not be an exaggeration. Boats rarely ventured here. If it not for the resources on the island, then no one would come here at all.
Since the dock was too small, there was no way that the escort fleet could dock properly. Not even the Royal Warship, Excellica, could come close enough. Left without any alternatives, Elizabeth and her friends had to take a boat over. Seeing the commotion, many of the residents stopped to look. However, contrary to Presharvo Port's raving reactions, there was a solid look of contempt and disgust. Although it was faint, when countless people did the same, it was as obvious as day. No one made as much as a peep. Their attitude was truly poor, especially when facing the Royal Family!
Sir Winstin frowned. He could sense the malice lingering in the air. There were even a few traces of killing intent mixed into the fray. Elizabeth and her friends might not notice but trying to hide in the face of a Perception Realm expert was asking for trouble. All the Royal Guards instinctively felt it in their bones as they rowed over. As if on cue, the Royal Guards collectively funneled their auras together and sent it tumbling over to the shoreside. It was a clear threat! If anyone raised a hand against the princess, then a bloodbath would follow! They would not mind eradicating a small insignificant town such as this!
The townspeople were shaken and some stumbled to their feet, paling at the formidable might of the Royal Guards. Sir Winstin snorted in disdain as he glared at the few who harbored killing intent. He marked them all in his mind. His eyes were radiating with the ferocity of ten lions. The frustrations of having failed to protect Lord Korogin came bursting out, though he quickly calmed down. However, that moment of unrestrained emotion was enough to send those few people packing. They ran from the shoreside as fast as they could, screaming in panic.
Elizabeth had no idea what was happening and felt bewildered. As the boats drew closer to the shoreside, the citizens wore incredulous faces. They could finally see each other! There was noticeable confusion amidst everyone. That was not entirely surprising. Although the news surrounding Elizabeth made its way around the known world, Lour Island was simply too isolated. They had not received the news yet. Therefore, when they saw the Royal Escort, their minds lapsed onto a familiar figure and their bellies filled with anger. Instead, Elizabeth's appearance had stumped them. They could never have imagined that a princess would fancy a dump like this…
The Royal Guards paid no mind and carved a place for Elizabeth and her friends to disembark. Shirley was anxiously looking throughout the crowd when a smile blossomed on her face. She caught sight of her two brothers! Wasting no time, she waved her hands and greeted them loudly. The expressions on their faces were absolutely priceless. Their jaws dropped so far, and their eyes grew so round that they looked like travelling performers. The shock in their minds made them stupid! It was so impossible for them to process that they had not reacted as Shirley stood face-to-face with them. 
Since Shirley met with her brothers, Elizabeth and Benedict felt compelled to say hello. It would have been too rude otherwise. Sir Winstin accompanied the princess in all his splendid plate armor. Elizabeth might not have much of a regal bearing, but Sir Winstin did. Moreover, his reputation had more than reached the four corners of the known world. People snapped out of their stupor as they began prostrating themselves in front of this mighty legend! They were quivering in their boots over their previous attitude. Yet, Sir Winstin had the strange feeling that someone was eyeing him… Someone strong enough for him to remain on-guard. For such a desolate place to have such an expert made him baffled.
Meanwhile, Shirly went ahead and slapped her two brothers repeatedly. "Did you hear me? Hello? It's your sister, Shirley! Did you two hit your heads or something? Do you need a doctor?"
"I must be dreaming still…" the younger brother laughed.
"Seems like we both are…" the older one said. "But why does it hurt so much?"
Shirley continued slapping them silly till their cheeks turned red. Even her brothers had a limit to their tempers as the older brother lashed out, "Stop it already! Why are you still slapping us? Will you not be happy until my cheeks swell like a melon?"
"I'm not quite satisfied yet," Shirley replied blankly.
"This isn't a dream… This is a nightmare!" the younger brother cried.
"Who are you calling a nightmare?" Shirley yanked his ear. "I'm your beloved older sister, Shirley!"
"That…" he stared at the people behind her and shivered from head to toe. "Please let me wake up already! When will this nightmare end?"
Elizabeth and Benedict burst out laughing and held their chests in pain from laughing so much. They could see the uncanny resemblance between Shirley and her two brothers. It was indeed very funny! Shirley was so embarrassed that her cheeks were blazing red. How humiliating!
Left without any alternatives, she formed a fake smile as she introduced, "The older one is Charles and the younger one is Robert. As you can see, they're a bit mischievous."
Robert nodded while Charles replied habitually, "My name is Charles. Pleasure to meet you."
Benedict stepped up and offered his hand. "I'm Sir Benedict Hawken."
"And I'm Princess Elizabeth Etuvel Reindel, but you can just call me Elizabeth for short," Elizabeth snuck in from the side.
A Hawken and a princess! Charles immediately foamed at the mouth and nearly passed out. The Hawken Household possessed might that was surpassed only by the Royal Family. Even if Charles knew nothing of the Hawken Household, the Royal Family was here as well! Forget Charles, everyone in the crowd who heard this sucked in a cold breath. Their faces paled to white like the snow around them. It became deathly silent. Only the sound of the distant waves could be heard. If Elizabeth had also revealed that she was the heir apparent… how would these people react?
"Y- Y- You…" Charles was losing his mind. "What did you do?"
Shirley frowned. "I didn't do anything. What's wrong with you two? It's just Elizabeth and Benedict." Everyone nearly fainted at those words. They restrained the urge to rush up and beat her silly. She continued, "I don't see Inari anywhere. He should've been keeping an eye on you two."
"He's taking care of our mother right now…" Robert whispered.
"Mother? What happened to our mother?" Shirley panicked.
"You know our mother is like that… So, she got sick again. However, the town physician said there shouldn't be a problem. Inari said that he would take care of her while we investigated what was happening here," Charles said.
"Thank goodness," the girl replied. She faced Elizabeth and Benedict with a bitter face. "I have to hurry home and see my mother. I hope you two won't take that to heart."
The two shook their heads. "If your mother is sick, then it's only natural for her daughter to be by her side," Elizabeth said. "You're a wonderful daughter."
Shirley felt touched and hugged the girl. "Take care of yourself, okay?"
"I will. Come visit me sometime!" Elizabeth whispered.
Benedict was a bit awkward, being left out, and Shirley realized this. She grinned and pulled the knight into her embrace. Together, the three shared a strange hug. Eventually, Shirly relented and pulled back. Her face was red. She took a deep breath and calmed down.
"Benedict, if anything happens to Elizabeth, I'll beat you until you're red and black, got it?" The knight was stupefied but he dumbly nodded. Why did these words sound so familiar to him? "We'll see each other again," she declared. "I promise it!"
Shirley grabbed her two brothers and began taking heavy steps away. One could sense the unwillingness in her every move. When the three siblings finally disappeared beyond the crowd, Elizabeth closed her eyes in contemplation. A breath later, she opened them again to leave. Benedict and Sir Winstin followed her without saying anything. The Royal Guards orderly filed back into their boats as Elizabeth did. The girl kept her gaze fixed on the town the entire time as they were rowing out. Her heart was heavy. Within ten minutes, they were back on the Royal Warship. On Elizabeth's command, the fleet departed for their final destination, the capital city of the Alzar Kingdom, Algard!

The bus was already waiting for us, we all sat inside the bus, and now everyone was sitting the same way as we were did before, we were so happy to get the last seat always, 
I saw Shrishti, she was gossiping with her friends, but the sadness was clearly visible in her eyes, I really felt bad for her, 
In the last Abhimanyu came inside, and everyone was staring him, but his gaze fell on me, and I turned my gaze, god knows why, but I started hating him more than before now, 
His eyes were looking dark, and I do not know why, but he was not looking in a good mood,

The name originates from the nautical term "Schupfen" (push) used by the fishermen to describe how they pushed their boats to and from the riverbank. During the Middle Ages the Schipfe was the transfer point for essential merchandise, and from the 16th century became the headquarters of the silk industry and the location of bathhouses and boatbuilding. Even today, the Schipfe remains a street of artisans, where craftspeople take the necessary time for their customers, providing expert advice and suggestions. Quality and custom-made products are available in the small, romantic shops and workshops along the Limmat River. The Schipfe is an idyllic location to linger, shop, and enjoy some good food,

Every place I was visiting here was screaming the peace and beauty, and I was falling for the place every single moment I was spending here, 
Suhani was going crazy, and Neel and Ayan were looking so damn happy, and my smile automatically increased as i saw their happy faces,

"Ugh! I can see the lights of the hotel from over there!" Sungah shouted as she enthusiastically continued to drive.
We have been driving for about 30 minutes now so we can head over to the hotel so we can rest and finally after driving for that long, all of our swollen buttocks can finally get some stretching. Who knew it would seriously hurt to sit around all day...
We all glanced around the area, totally wide-eyed at what we were seeing. It was breathtaking to see pristine waters around the cliff road with a lighthouse in the distance illuminating and guiding the boats as they traveled. The night sky reflected on the water's surface creating a serene aura.
"Oh my god! This is so beautiful!" Luther explained as he puts his face out in the open road.
As we finally got closer to the area, we could finally see fellow cars also in the distance, some were parked around the hotel while the others were still driving over to it! Wow, it's been quite a while since we've seen cars...
"Why is there like a hotel here? Isn't this like just an open area next to the ocean? I don't particularly see anything here that's worth even staying here for." Louie asked with skepticism.
"Oh, there's like a resort and casinos on that big island over there called Lotus Island. It's a tropical island where you can go visit it and " I would point across the bay with a few boats in the area. "According to this, you can go and pay a fare so you can travel to that private island. Apparently, it's a tropical paradise there." I elaborated.
"She's right!" Luther brought out his phone to look for a pamphlet. "They have a lot of malls, spas, casinos, amusement parks, water parks, and all kinds of entertainment in Lotus island. Wow. I didn't know we'd actually be closed by after driving for so long to this."
"Girl. We ain't here to do vacation and shit. We're just here to stay at the hotel over there for the night since it's getting late." I told her what my intentions were to her, making her pout like a child not getting what she wants.
"Grace is right. We need to at least rest so we have the energy to fight and run for tomorrow. I doubt we can survive if we just end up exhausted when the killer is chasing us. So it's wiser that we conserve our energy." Luther added to my point.
"YAAA so how about we go to the island with all the fancy restaurants and spas so I can actually relax you know," Sungah smirked.
"You gold digger. Who's gonna pay for the vacation? You do realize that going there is going to be expensive right?" I rolled my eyes.
"Um.. ya.. but you two are CEOs, right? Surely you two have a lot of money so we can all go to the main island right?" She asked so bluntly towards us... ugh. This girl is serious money hungry. This is why I don't like taking her to expensive places.
"No." Louie and I simultaneously said, shutting down Sungah's attempts to leech off our money. 
"Ugh, rude." Sungah scoffed off. "Geez. Not even a thank you for saving your lives and literally putting up with your bad attitudes..."
"Also it's not even a good idea to go to the main island, to begin with. If the serial killer happens to be on the island as well. It would be harder for both of us to escape her since that area is surrounded by water you know?" Luther chimed into the conversation, poking holes into the vacation idea.
"Right! Right! Fine! You broke bitches are seriously no fun. Now I miss my sugar daddy who pays for everything. Ugh! Being with you mood killers is such a bore." She rolled her eyes, making all of us clench our jaw with anger.
GOSH.. now I am seriously regretting why I hired her.. she's nothing but a nuisance.. although I'm kind of thankful. She does do things like protecting us and she's the one that healed my injury so I'm kind of tolerant of her but sometimes she's just so annoying like a very high maintenance girlfriend.
"Alright then since that's the only hotel nearby as of now. I suppose we can stay there for the night." Luther pointed out, taking a breath of relief.
"Now that we're getting on the topic of staying in there. Is it really a good idea to sleep there right now?" Sungah changed her tone to act more sophisticated and mature.
"Um? What do you mean?" I raised my eyebrow at her inquiry.
"You guys did say that if we go the main island and then we get stuck, that would mean we'll be vulnerable to killer. SO what if we sleep in the hotel. Wouldn't that just be more obvious and the killer could easily just sneak up on our rooms and kill us." She suggested.
"I mean ya.. you do have a point on that Sungah however it's better than sleeping on the car right?" Luther smirked, making Sungah gag before straightening up. "OF course! I'm not gonna sleep in this crummy ass car. I'm worth way more than that."
"Umm this is a hundred thousand dollar car but okay..." I joined in, saying a word before completely going silent. 
"By the way... you still didn't answer my question. Why is there a hotel here if there's a resort on the main island over there?" Louie once again asked the question from before.
"Actually I think it's because the hotels on the main island are very expensive. Some people can't exactly afford to spend the night there so they just spend the night here in this hotel and then go to the ferry so that they can enjoy the main island and then just go back. Actually, this hotel and the ferry fare is cheaper than a night there so that's why." I explained to Louie, making him a nod and think about it.
"So basically there's a hotel here because people's cheapasses can't afford to stay in a hotel room on the main island so they have to go to that rankass hotel." Sungah expressed her disgust about it.
"No... that hotel by the ferry is still expensive. So it ain't exactly cheap but anyway I don't really care where we would stay. I just want us to actually get to the hotel and finally just check-in so we can sleep and figure out what we'll do in the morning." I scratched my head before adjusting my sitting position again.
We all remained silent as we finally drove past a few cars and expensive and wealthy looking people before finally reaching the main area of the hotel. It was showered with an array of colorful lights similar to a theater in the main city. Everyone going in and out looked very regal and important.
"Wow.. now I sort of feel like a poor person... I mean look at those fancy-ass clothes. Compared to our clothes, we look like a bunch of homeless people.." Sungah sighed as she compared the elegant dresses the people wore to our somewhat casual clothes.
"Our clothes aren't important in this. Anyway, let's just park this car so we can get in and check-in for a hotel room. I'm so done sitting in this car for hours." Louie pointed over to the driveway. As I scanned around the area, a particular person caught my eye...
A blonde tall man with a handsome face and muscular features... is.. is that.. CLAUDE YAMADA?!
"YASS! A TROPICAL ISLAND RESORT! Typical for a queen like me!" Sungah stomped her foot loudly in the peddle.
"But why is there a hotel here if there's a resort on that big island over there? Shouldn't they just sleep there or something? What would be the purpose of building a hotel outside the island?" Louie asked once again to fuel his curiosity about the place.
"WHO FREAKING CARES! WE'RE GOING TO THE MAIN ISLAND RIGHT?! I SO TOTALLY WANT TO GET MY NAILS DONE IN THE SPA. Visit some of the best salons so I can get better hair and I also just wanna eat so much food there!" Sungah's so excited, completely acting erratically as she drives.
"Um.. what? Who said we're going to have a vacation?" I squinted my eyes at Sungah.
"WAIT? WHAT?! THEN WHY ARE WE GOING HERE IF WE'RE NOT GOING TO ENJOY THE LUXURIES OF THE RICH THEN?!" Sungah exclaimed.
"You do realize that there is still a bloodthirsty serial killer that's after us right now and I don't think she's very patient on waiting for us to come back to our house and then kill us.." Louie sighed, making Sungah frown as if she felt like we dangled a carrot in front of her then just took it.
