Just so you know, I had written this chapter before the Alex Hayes fic came out. And, I haven't read that fic till he makes Risky Business, so I don't know what the author has done there. Whatever happened here is a pure coincidence.
Try Chronicle or Cloverfield. I love both those films, and they are also handheld. Even Paranormal Activity was good. What you hate is probably shaky cam, which is terrible for sure. There are handheld steadicams as well, and they are really good with no shake visible.
