I agree with the fact that in Minato one shot manga, both han and roshi had a tail beast chakra form manifested behind them, it didn't look physical but there's no explanation on how they can do that, it definitely requires control over tail beast to some degree at least, I do remember in canon roshi never called four tails by its real name despite knowing it, how did he knew his name in the first place? The only way he knew the name was that four tails himself told him and it proves they had communicated, maybe not in friendly terms
