A boy is found in a cave, unnaturally pale and seemingly untouched by the harsh marshes surrounding him. Enslaved by zealots known as the Aensland Theocracy, the boy finds himself dead-center of a political game played by the Gods themselves.

A woman of the abandoned tribes finds a drowned lady in strange robes. Exotic foods and materials wash onto the shores of her village, bringing controversy into her sheltered life. Were these things gifts, blessed upon them by the great sea serpent? Or did they come from somewhere else?
