The mc is ****ig flawed he didnt train in the first 17 years of his life then when the plot started he suddenly have a mysterious back story and he will inner monologue "I'm so weak" then why didnt he train and you're mc even have the time for walks like their will be no problems in the future
He forced himself on ya fei and she fell in love with him 2 minutes after meeting him. He also wasted 17 years of his time. Gonna say nope and drop here. Feels bad a story was ruined over forcing themselves on women.

Alright, so overall the story is quite good. But there are problems. I know from reading the Author's Douluo Dalu fanfic he is quite good at writing romance so why tf did he make Mc's relationship with Ya Fei so rushed, like their first convo the Mc straight up sexually assaults Ya Fei and tells her she is his women and the neck minute she is in love with him like wtf. There is also his mysterious background which is honestly kinda nice he had some form of background but why do they hide instead of telling the MC everything. It feels like instead of helping they're manipulating him instead. Though this could be what the author is going for. And finally, with the way the MC is progressing, I don't see how he is going to be any more special than Xiao Yan.

His cultivation is slower than a fuckin turtle, I longed to wish for battle through the heavens fanfic, but this, this is bs, what kind of ****ery is this?, I read fanfic to see an op mc not some kind of talentless new mc, he's even worse than xiao yan, I would rather read the original again instead of this lol.

I couldn’t pass the first few chapters. I remember bookmarking this cuz of the author’s Doulou Dalu fic and was excited reading a btth fic but was utterly disappointed. I looked at the other reviews and saw other people had the same reason like me to drop. Mc wasted 17 years as well as the rushed romance. Looking at some reviews I saw whole comment threads on people still trying to argue and protect the fic so let me just say why thats ridicoulous. Those who defend the book argue that the mc didn’t waste his 17 years cuz the clan’s resources were ‘scarce’ but thats bs cuz all the elders focused their attention onto nurturing him. At the very least he should have been a Dou Pactitioner at the start. Some might argue he didn’t have ‘talent’ but why is it just after the plot starts he conveniently has a breakthrough right in the middle of when Xiao Yan’s arranged marriage cancelled. And why only does he conveniently get his ‘inheritance’ right after plot kicks up? Let’s face it, its so he can follow plot. As for romance if you can even call it that. Heres a rough summary. Mc meets Yan Fei -> Assaults Yan Fei -> “You are now my woman” -> boom, Yan Fei suddenly is in love with Mc

Writing quality is good. The updates keep coming at a constant pace. Story development is slow-paced, but that's typical of a cultivation novel so it's actually a good thing. The character design is living up to cultivation novel usual MC, except with less arrogance; which is good on my part. The World background... well since it's a fanfic of course it's huge. Dialogues between characters respect the tropes too but with a bit less boring formalities, which make the story flow better. All in all, if you like cultivation novels look no further. This fanfic should satisfy your needs. Good job so far, keep it up bro. Y.R.

The beginning of the story was pretty nice. Xiao Ning was portrayed as a nice senior brother as opposed to his cannon counterpart. He even helped Xiao Yan sometimes and seemed as if they would create a nice friendship. Then, things went down pretty quick after Xiao Yan's teasing of Xiao Yu. Xiao Ning went to defend her honor and taught a little lesson to Xiao Yan and suddenly, they're kinda enemies and Xiao Yan became a spoiled brat. Xiao Ning's relationship with Ya Fei was borderline dumb. You just have to turn off your brain through this part. His relationship building with Little Fairy Doctor was a thousand times better compared. All in all, this is a pretty legit BTTH fanfic. 80% of the time, he's doing cultivation-related things.
