Synopsis

------------
Check out my new LitRPG, VR novel, Paragon Online!
------------

Athena, Zeus, Aphrodite, Hermes...
These were all figures Alex only ever saw in books and status, so HOW are they now his neighbors?!

Alex was a very ordinary young adult, stressing out about his financial situation and desperately trying to make ends meet.

While awaiting his gig money deposit, he stumbled upon an email about a certain 'God Recruitment for the Pantheon!!'.

He responded to the email to kill off his boredom and satisfy his inner otaku!

"We're going to the Underworld?!"

Chosen by Hermes to become a god himself, Alex has to navigate his new immortal self and find his place in the pantheon!

This is an alternate Olympus, and the plot sometimes takes precedence over sticking completely to original myths.

This book is an adaptation of Greek mythology, and for those who don't know much about it, don't worry, everything is explained as the plot progresses!

I love this novel. From the bottom of my heart, I love it. The characters the history and the world itself is top quality. This quality of writing is something you don't see everyday on this type of website and I cant be more happy about it.

Very interesting story! !! I have a keen interest on mythology, and I can see that this work has the markings of a masterpiece! When my focus is set on a story, my patience is 'not tolerable" and I have this urge to finish it as I can. To this dear author, please keep on updating. I don't want to miss such a great work, nearly a masterpiece! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really like this novel, it has good writing, a stable plot so far, no serious plot holes and it has a lot of potential. The story so far has been phenomenal our character here is developing not just physical but mentally. He is slowly maturing in the process right now knowing how to navigate the world, nowing how to care for people he had no idea he would ever see in his lifetime and discovering in this fictional world that these gods are not just some regular 2d no emotions kind of gods he realizes that even though immortal and powerful they are flawed. Our character I didn't like him at first but he grew on me a little. He is probably a little bit of a common place mc but he is better than most of the mcs I have read about on other books. I really like how he is maturing right now and what the future obstacles are going to affect his personality. I really like the world the book is based in ,'The Greek Mythos', it is a well grounded place to set the work in because even though it is well grounded a lot of the Greek myths are forgotten.I think that this ,is perfect for the story because the author can do whatever he wants with the world around the Mythos because it is mostly forgotten and he can implement new structures around this concept. A solid 4.2 for me there are some things that I didn't like but they were minor and not inconvenient for a good read overall a novel I would read to the end.

Nice concept but the mc's personality feels like that of a 10 year old, never been a fan of the "blushing mc" trope. The romance is a bit cringe and hastily done as if a check mark had to be made just because. The world it self and the concept of all the worlds religions put into one world and era is a nice one. The gods them self have a lot of different personalities, but the conversations are a bit stiff and one sided. It reminds me a bit of that Chinese translated novel were the mc ends up in Asgard, cant remember the name.

Why I clicked onto this book: The words Olympian God. Why I like this book: 1. Uh, hello? Greek mythology inspired story? Yes please! 2. The writing style is hilarious and the language is good. 3. The mc is just so cute and funny. 4. The concept is interesting and the synopsis is captivating. After reading chapter one, I was laughing out loud and quite impressed. 5. I get to read about the Greek Gods in a different light (that gave me Percy Jackson vibes). They aren't just myths in dusty old books–they're living, breathing characters who make mistakes (intentionally or not, I still don't know) and throw you a cussing, narcissistic servant as a welcome gift. Why you should read this book if you're reading reviews debating reading it or not: It. Is. Amazing. Also, comedic Greek Mythology!!! I will definitely be sticking with this book all the way. Keep up the good work, author[img=recommend]

Hello everyone! I hope everyone's doing well and coping as best as possible in these hard times. I am the author of IAOG shamelessly reviewing my own novel ;) I'd like to start by thanking Supergiant Games as the video game Hades has been a huge inspiration for this novel and for my dive into the greek mythology rabbit hole. I'd also like to thank the youtube creators OSP for kindling my passion for mythology and giving me a solid background into the universe of grekko-roman mythos. I'm a bit confident in my grammar but I appreciate any feedback in case of grammar mistakes although i'm not very confident in my writing techniques and I'm hoping to improve as the novel progresses. I will keep a stable update schedule although with high school and exams coming I might not be able to update the novel everyday. Using greek mythology as a setting also means that I will garantee world background is top-tier and although my character design probably won't do justice to the actual mythological figures I will try my very best :) I hope you can all consider me your friend and I will try engaging with all of you! Thank you very much for reading, have a good day everyone~~~~~~

This was a 10/10 book for me, but unfortunately since the chapters became locked i cant/Dont want to finish, as i have no money. Everything from writing to world background is a 10 out of 10.

Absolutely marvelous. Reading this story is such a joy. Every line is dripping with comic juice and it doesn't feel stale. The author writes like a pro. No grammatical errors. It flows like honey, and despite being lucid and simple, the writing has a distinct comic style. The story develops immediately and the pacing is just right. Not too fast or slow, just right to savor the fun story. The MC is adorable, simply put. Very humble, almost self-loathing but never comes across as pathetic. Instead, you wanna hug them. The descriptions are professionally done. Not too much or too less. In minimum number of sentences, the author describes enough to build a compelling, immersive world. Easily one of the best stories I have read here, quite possibly the best. I cannot wait to read more lol. Thank you so much for your hard work, author! Please continue. :D

I really really love the novel, But sometimes it's really getting into my nerve that he's so emotional about other people. Tho I like the way he helps people I dont like him crying like a kid everytime.

yperocho biblio! I'm guessing this is greek of Wonderful Book or Bible. Anyway, first about the synopsis, it is quite interesting, very interesting. The writing quality is good, the story development is going smoothly, the character design is just hilarious, Thinking of being recruited as a god while reading this is book is just a wonderful journey. I especially liked the author's choice of choosing the greek god. There is no grammatical error so that also makes it a smooth sail. Good Job Author, please keep updating, I'll like to read it more and more when I have some free time. In the end, I would like to ask if I can get that email? I'm tired of being human.

im coming back to this novel because i never got to finish it. to me, this novel feels real with how the characters interact with each other as well as the MC's thought process when going towards danger and conflicts. my only complaint is that as a myth fanatic, i have my own views with the way certain characters should behave. still, that does not ruin the experience for me and i would love to continue reading and enjoying myself.

I'm completely in love with this at the moment as I cannot stop reading it, wasting all of my fast passes on it it just has me stuck when it comes to the story to the point of where I can't even focus on my own novel. wish I had more fast passes tho, that would help a lot. and hope your book keeps going well, anyone thinking about giving it a read go ahead. it is one of the best books I have ever read. and I hope it is yours as well.

This is a simple concept story that takes cultivation and mythology and brings them together. The author does a great job of keeping the pace interesting and mixing things up between light and dark themes. Pulled heavily from mythology but with his own interpretations of the gods and a few unique characters and in world mythology (other than the MC).

The writing quality and world building is pretty good for this website, yet the character motivation is pretty lacking. This makes it difficult to get into the story.
