Synopsis
Five hundred years into the future, animals and plants had mutated into powerful beasts which endangered the human species.
To deal with the situation, the Federal government decided to build academies dedicated to mecha piloting. It marked the beginning of the Mecha Age.
With the help of the mechas, humans would gain the power to fight on equal terms with the beasts.
Years later, Peter was recruited by one of the mecha academies.

It feels like my child nephew describing his super hero game character, oh how great he is, how powerful he is, how everyone adores him, etc, etc. So pure... so innocent.... so simple. The theme is interesting, but the plot is rushed, filled with repetitive descriptions by peanut gallery, and no depth of human nature understanding. I prefer my nephew at least he is cute.
very poor story with no sense. the topper of mech course doesnt get admission in a top college so he picks a rubbish course . just pick the 2nd best college . mc powerup too easily. manufacturing of earts greatest weapon in the hand of one framily. president daughter studying in ordinary college. there is no plot the author is uncreative hence he is forcing fight with mc .. poor novel
This is translation review, not novel review. If you are not familiar with it, webnovel has started westernizing most of the novels in 2021. This is awful practice that kills original novel. At best you get only names, places and organizations westernized and at worst you get half novel gutted and other half totally rewritten by translator. With best case scenario you get only names, places and organizations westernized which introduces plotholes cause while names are westernized, actual writing and character culture arent. You get chinese way of thinking, chinese places and organizations translated into most famous western (USA) alternatives and as a result you see absurdity. And with the worst case scenario, you are not actually reading original authors work, but some "translators" plagiarization cause half novel is removed (sometimes critical explanations) and other half is badly rewritten. And cause this requires so much work compared to normal translation, either webnovel is stealing original authors work and rewriting it (cause most of those novels dont come from qidian) or they are just using translators that dont know chinese so they are rewriting story with help of MTL (seen too many edited MTL translations lately on webnovel). overall any westernized novel deserves automatic 1 star review.

A bit off-putting with the pacing of the novel... way too fast and uh yeah. I feel like the author really needs something to cool down.

Everytime I see 'genetic' or 'genes' novels, what comes to mind is the novel 'Legend of mythological genes' it's the 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 novel ever, it took genes' to a different level.
This story definitely has it’s problems, but also has some interesting points too. I’ll discuss some spoilers that I think are interesting. The genetic warriors are looked down upon and treated with disdain, but there’s a more interesting explanation than them being worse than mechs. The main professor of the genetic warrior course is Dr. Eugene, and believe his name is a reference to eugenics. Apparently he has nurtured a large number of powerful genetic warriors over the years, but the reason they got no recognition is because he killed them when they became too powerful for him too control. There’s also the very cliche young master Locke who steals the mc’s spot in the mech course and plots to kill him out of ‘jealousy’. However it’s revealed that he was being mindcontrolled by a mutated insect queen to create havoc among the humans and kill a talented student.

What happens if all characters in a story are brain dead? Read this and you will find out. The only reason you would read this trash is that the villain angered you so much that you want to read at least to the point where the reckoning begins.
Honest reviews are here.. Firstly, this is an OP MC from the beginning.. Well, it is more accurate if I said this novel is a strong-to-overpower type of novel (Yes, not weak-to-strong).. It is also annoying that they are many corrupted people in this story.. Even from the beginning, MC who is the SMARTEST OR BEST STUDENT got kicked out from the best mecha course of that academy to a genetic course, which is the worst course in the academic DUE TO corrupted jealous people.. Then, his professor is also corrupted by killing EVERYONE, who has huge potential to becoming top genetic humans that can help the human race develop further.. Then, even the city top general is also corrupted, which is trying to eliminate everyone who is stronger than him so he can keep his position in the city.. The author keeps saying that the human race will fall.. Well, how can human growth if many high position is corrupted and keep hindering or eliminate all potential humans who have proven other they already stronger than others at a younger age? It is understandable that the author wants to show the realism of human society in his novel, but this is novel, nobody care if you make more fantasy like the unifying of the human society (a little bit dark kinda fine too) but what the point that EVERY top position rank is corrupted? It is very irritating to read it further, but I still read it until the end.. It just takes a longer time.. Usually, I can finish reading 200 chapters in three days, but this novel does take me almost a week long to just finishing 200 chapters.. Other than corrupted people, everything else is fine.. Recommended? If you like OP MC and have a week of free time, it is highly recommended.. And if you hate OP MC from the beginning, it's not recommended..
Hmm how could I say this, let's start from the top. The writing quality is the best part about this novel yet it still is very boring to read. It doesn't hook you up, neither does it stick in your memory. Story development is very cliché, read the first 20 chapters and you can already compare this plot to hundred other novels. Character Design... I don't even think it exists, moreover the first chapter says it all. The World Background too is normal and yeah... cliché WHICH IS NOT BAD, HOWEVER with the story development being this bad, it automatically makes the World Building bad as well. All in all, just because anybody can think of a random story, doesn't mean they have to write one. However, seeing how many Golden Tickets this novel received, either these people are special or the novel gets a major boost later on.
honestly idk what to say, the overall plot so far is okay, but I question so many things that happen in the book that just doesnt follow human common sense. Does the MC not feel even a littke aggrieved? He just sucks it in and allows the MC plot armor to surround him, like??? And the scenes with Callie?? I dont get it. You'd say she has a strong background and the Locke family cant anger the president but the president cant offend the Locke Family over a genius? Okay, understandable have a nice day
The translation is good but the story itself just isn't very interesting. The prompt is kind of a post-apocalyptic world where humans fight mutated animals and while humans can become stronger via genetic enhancements the "genetic warriors" are still much weaker than the mechas the humans also use to fight the mutated beasts and thus looked down upon. MC was supposed to be admitted as the first of his class to the mecha course but his spot was taken by some dude who discovered the girl he tried to court actually liked MC (I mean, not further explanation needed right?). So he has the system but hardly uses it, seems to me like he could get infinitely stronger but for some reason, he hardly uses his system (that reason is probably to increase the length of the story). Generally, I don't even blame the author for stalling it out since I really don't see a way this gets beyond 40 chapters without unnecessary drama to make up for the word count because as I said it seems to me that as long as MC was willing he could become invincible in a matter of hours. There is also this extremely generic female childhood friend who is also from a very influential family blah blah blah so from fantasy it became a drama and I don't like dramas so no thanks for me. Wouldn't recommend it.
