Synopsis
In a time after humanity was hit by the C-Virus, everything was relabeled.
And that included humans.
Those who awakened a mystical power called Qi became the Blessed and those who failed became the Qiless.
The new minority. The people who did menial jobs. Those who should be shunned.
The Other World, Earth's most popular VRMMORPG released its 5th version on 5th of September 2164 with the slogan "Qi Awakening to even the Qiless."
A legendary Virtual World that made a not so legendary proclamation.
Cheng Xiu, a Qiless, did not have hope to become an Expert in such games.
She just wanted to read books, get good grades and reach a place where the lable of Qiless would not hurt her anymore.
She didn't want to experience pain and suffering, thank you very much.
But it seemed her best friend once again forgot that memo as she buys Cheng Xiu a game pod to play The Other World.
And Cheng Xiu slowly realised that even a Qiless had an opportunity for Greatness in the VR World.

Warnings: There is some disturbing scenes in this, and annoying characters too.
The romance does not start until after chapter 100, and it is only after 150 that you will see actual hints of it, if you can call it that.
I have tried to give the online world and the real world be real spaces with characters and plots running in both.

I expected a cliche mmorpg book when I clicked on the title but this book has really exceeded my expectations. It really has become my personal favourite and the concept of discovering your Qi through a game is seriously an unique thought. You are really amazing author.
Quite interesting. There's already enough world building in the first 2 chapters that you could already get the feel of the world view of the characters. Also the concept of Qi being discovered through a mutation is interesting. Qi has always been a concept that is capable of destroying worlds in various novels, and yet Qi in this novel seems like it's just a means to make life easier and live longer. Already a novel with great potential.
definitely worth your time If there is one thing that I can say it is that Anji knows her characters. they read well and despite fitting into the typical character types, they have personalities that many writers try to give their characters and fail to do so. it started off with a bit of an info dump, but since then it has been smooth sailing. overall the world is pretty simple and easy to understand, great work author keep it up

First of all, I really love the new cover of the novel. The plot was very interesting since the first chapter (although I'm not good with the name of the character.) but the writing is very good since it was detailed and easy to imagine.
I am truly amazed by what I read and I am glad that I got to read it. The story isn't that complicated like other VR related stories that just drives you crazy with all the terminology. I really liked how Xiu step by step became strong, conquered her fears and walked onto the path of changing her own fate. I will be looking forward to more and sincerely hopes that her path will be smooth even though that is impossible. Rooting for more and keep up the good work, author.
I'm obviously into videogames on a whole and this book got me fascinated. The whole background was well described and the story flow is intriguing to be honest.. You've got good work, keep it up💗💯
an interesting Fl book without an annoying ml love candidate that wants to steal the show. at least until chap 100. the fl has a good background story and is learning fast how to fight and well the only thing that doesn't make really sense is that she can't already fight with her experience in games or it has a reason that I overlooked like that vr wasn't good enough back then or something like that... well it is one of the best Fl stories that I read until now that isn't romance and feelings focused. I really hope it doesn't get dropped or loses its focus on gaming and the meta story to a "everything is bad when I'm not with my ML 😱😭😪" book.

This concept of Qi is amazing. The world building was done perfectly well and at a good pace. This was my first time reading such a genre and I immediately fell in love with the story. I will keep on reading it in the future too.
I can so relate to Cheng Xiu who prefers to read rather than game but then she got drawn into it. I would too if I can just get a gaming pod like hers! Haha. I love the whole premise of this story, about the Qi, and how she had to struggle through the game to....oh wait, I better not write any spoilers here. So, this is a fun immersive read that kept me scrolling, scrolling, scrolling (while reading obviously!). Keep up the good work author. Can't wait to read more!

i love the rpg vedio feel the book gave me. :) i have not read a vedio game book in a long time and this takes me back in my childhood. the concept of integrating eastern and western elements is also good. the words flow smooth and the characters each have a personality. the only thing i didnt like is the earlier protrayal of a love interest. i hope FL doesn't have love interest until later. but thats just me. also the slow update.
