Synopsis

This is definitely one of the better novels on webnovel. It has long chapters, it uploads every day, and the story is enjoyable!👍 The writing quality is close to immaculate except a few spelling mistakes here and there. I also love how the author made up sayings like "right off the stars" instead of "right off the bat." It really flushes out the idea of this being in the future with sci-fi aspects in the novel. the characters feel thought out, especially the main character. There is both depth and mystery behind the main character, yet his reactions to things seem both realistic but eerily weird at the same time. So far, we know enough about the world for us to form a setting. We don't know too much, but we know just enough for us to not have to question certain actions. Overall 10/10
Overall, the book has a decent start [review as of chapter 70]. Below I have my take on good and bad. Author, thank you for taking the time to create! Good: 1) Fights are well described and easy to visualize 2) Author does a good job of showing when MC is being smart and when he just thinks he is being smart 3) Best friend character is not "Fatty*" [seriously this is worth a whole star] 4) So far, his motivations are not due to any annoying tropes like sick family, unreasonable desire for revenge, kidnapping, etc., which I find to be an amazing deviation for usual Bad: 1) His parents really, really suck. Now you might say that since they are shown that they care about the MC they are good parents, but they did absolutely nothing to train him. In a world where power is everything, going to a good school requires being a good fighter, they refused to train him. If that is not neglect, I do not know what is. They are actively risking his life for no reason. MAYBE, the 4 star general dad had an excuse that he could not personally do it since he was busy, but they are rich enough and have powerful friends, I am sure they could find someone to help. During a training arc, someone has to explain basic, crucial terms to him. He was not even told what things mean, I mean how awful can you be that you cannot even provide your son a glossary. 2) To me, it is/was a mystery how strong each of the commandments are. Let alone what happens when you switch. So far, we know you can get new abilities, increase talent etc., but that was not explained at once, it took like 40 chapters for definitions of power to make any sense. There are characters described as being 2nd commandment fighters. Okay, so, is that strong, middle level, apex power? That is not at all clear during my read through until later chapters. 3) This might be just me, so not as strong as #1, but the MC gets mad at every little thing. "If I wasnt hiding my powers I could beat you!!!!!!!!1111!!!!" Truth is, he cant. The MC is too big for his breaches which is fine in a weak to strong type MC, but he keeps getting beat down and never learns his lesson, makes it seem like he is throwing a temper tantrum that someone who is 2 whole levels higher than him, is in fact stronger. 4) The author keeps referencing some "big event" in the past. I get it can be part of the story later and helps to define personalities and interactions of your main cast and chapter 70 in a webnovel can be just the beginning. But it comes up too often for all these vague terms in conversations to make sense. When your aunt and mom privately talk about sometime important, they would not likely talk about "the incident", they would just say what it was. 3 star general Mom has likely seen a lot of stuff, so her life probably has more than one important event, so calling 1 thing THE incident, just irks me more than is rational.
Who is Animosity? For the blind, He is the vision. For the hungry, He is the chef. For the thirsty, He is the water. If Animosity thinks, I agree. If Animosity speaks, I’m listening. If Animosity has one fan, it is me. If Animosity has no fans, I don’t exist.
I have one question for the author. Why does the MC continue to show off so much strength despite his circumstances. Firstly, he’s only a 2-star talent so he should have a much slower growth rate. Does it not make sense that no one has questioned his significant behavioural change, eye colour change and super strength that happened all of a sudden? Another thing is why does he not wear contact lenses or at least glasses? Purple eyes being distinctive characteristics of void-walkers should be enough for him to make cautious decisions. It’s so easy to wear some lenses but this guy has still not done so. Is there something preventing him from doing it? Not only that, doesn’t him abrupt killing intent not surprise people at all. Like he uses his aura and intent to suppress monsters and people, is that not the least bit suspicious for a complete beginner? Also, doesn’t his 4d (ability) make him much more rational? Wouldn’t that mean he would take better precautions and make safer decisions. One comment asked about whether he even needs to join an academy in the first place. All he has to do is spam dungeons and void walks. I agree with this and am wondering why he needs to join in the first place. All in all, I think this is a good story but the MCs characters seems to there just for the convenience of the plot. I just wish he could be more low-key, especially when he’s literally one of the most wanted people in the universe.

This novel is fantastic! The grammar is better thsn 99% of novels on the platform, and the story is super intriguing! 💯 I know that this novel only has 19 chapters right now but that chapters are long, making them feel like I've read double the amount. The character development is pretty good too. For example, you can see the mc slowly losing touch with his emotions as he continues to put on his mask and act as "Null". It's super good and I 100% recommend it.👍

Wayy too much focus on peoples emotions in general. Also the auther cant go 2 paragraphs without mentioning how emotionless or cold the mc is. The more I read the more it feels like this was written by someone without much life experience. Story is too edgy for me im out 🙏

this is one of the best novels I ever read on this site especially the combat scenes it is high quality but the mc really has to find a better excuse for his family when he Disappears, even I felt embarrassed about his excuse

Truly spectacular. Not like anything I've seen before. Chapters are long, fights are detailed an enjoyable, most characters are realistic and fleshed out. 10/10 recommend.
I only read 3 chapters, not because it was particularly bad but just because a lot of the decisions just weren't my cup of tea due to cliche weapon and gates and dungeons(I'm just not a fan so I won't demerit a novel for it as that wouldn't be fair) , for an authors first time writing a novel the grammar and writing was so incredible I was shocked. the world could have been introduced a bit smoother and more deeply, like sure we now know the bigger world and what's encompassing it, but I would like to see the smaller stuff too like the names of places or descriptions of what he sees around him(basically set up a scenery around them) other than that it's a phenomenal work of art and should be praised

Amazing, the author is a genius at making mana realistic as well as showing how history as effected its advancement. The types of powers in the book are also incredibly diverse. From genetic based to skill based, you never know if the opponent has a overpowered ability or can juice a basic spell with a million times the maximum or even creating things that break away from the science of magic and deletes into creativity like black flame or shadow flames, how shadows can infect darkness. That's just he world building lol.
Please release more chapters, this story really caught my interest great development but then you go on a break right when it’ getting good
It’s pretty decent just not for me. A lot of the fun that these strories about the mc becoming a non human is the struggle to stay human and that just seems to be missing. It feels like mcs just succumbed to his baser instincts and now we’re reading about an unintelligent animal. But that’ just me they quality is pretty good and there’s nothing I’d say is bad just something I’m not a fan of
This is one of those hidden gems… well not so hidden any more. It was hidden when I first found it, still at a dozen chapters, now it has risen to 10k collections and even entered privilege. The characters, for the most part, act real. Updates are stable. quality is better than a lot of novels up here.
Sometimes I wonder why I still have an account on this app. Apart from a few good gems, the vast majority of the “novels” on this app are boring at best and anger-inducing at worst. Thats why I didnt think much when I clicked on this, expecting this to be more of the same. It’s novels like this that make me want to stay on this app and keep looking for things to read. Even with currently (sadly) only 4 chapters, I readily will wait for more and I believe this could easily surpass 1 million+ views in the very near future and be one of the big players on Webnovel. I urge anybody who is on the fence about this novel to read it, you will not be disappointed.
