Synopsis

Chen Fei looked at the bewildering number of people in front of him who desperately practiced boxing to become a master, sighing.
"Compete? I don't think so. My motto is never to stand when you can sit."
So the panel answered his call.
"Extreme Mountain Fist Technique simplification in progress... simplification successful... Extreme Mountain Breathing Technique"
"Extreme Mountain Breathing Method simplification in progress... simplification successful... Breathing"
Chen Fei took a deep breath.
"Extreme Mountain Breathing Method experience +1."
"...So I can cultivate by breathing alone?"

Went through mtl, and it is a pretty good novel, even solid I would say, without glaring weakness or moments that are annoying/illogical, maybe repeating some info a few extra times than needed, but if you read one or two chapters a day it will be a reminder, a good balance between fights where MC wins easily and struggles to survive. Mc cultivation progress is extremly fast compared with people in his area, but he is reasonable enough to hide his strength and careful to avoid greed from much stronger cultivators. MC also does not forget characters that were friends from the start, there a few lines about them even in last few chapters, which is nice. The help from the panel/his cheat system is not outrageous, making him extremly strong in the same small realm, very rarely fighting across small realms as cultivation progresses, but only winning due to strong weapon or enemy being injured. The raitings in China are also good, so it is unlikly for the author to abandon the novel. Certainly best in this cycle and maybe last few months as well. Worth a try for sure

Who would've thought that i would find such a hidden gem hidden among the pile of garbage! It absolutely deserves a five star review. I like mc's decisive personality and the concept of system is also quite good without any annoying restrictions or task failure punishments. Overall a decent read.

It starts very well, after 100 chapters it seems that the author got lazy or simply doesn't know what else to write because the plot was totally mediocre with several sentences with the same meaning in the same chapter and full of mini tournaments with slaps in the face

I don't know why most people like those novels in which the protagonist goes unnoticed and hides his potential almost throughout the entire novel. He takes away its meaning because he is afraid of problems or of dying and because the Chinese are so afraid of death, nothing is immortal, its end will always be the same, death.

read the raws uptil the latest available chapter 869.The best thing about this novel is that author really knows how to convey a story. The plot is always moving forward and i didn't feel anywhere as if he dragged the story. He got me hooked real bad, just like my favourite novel 'martial peak' did. I just couldn't take a pause in between and still want more chapters. Therefore, even though there were the usual problems of 1d villians, repetitive content and cliche plots the added burden of reading via Google translate, I really enjoyed this one.

It's good and engaging however the clunky and dullness of translation using complicated and uncommon words instead of simple ones is a chore to read. There are no word like 'people' anymore but 'individuals'. 'Stop' became 'ceased'. 'Death/dead' is 'demise/perished'. E.g. "He 'stopped' thinking of it = He 'ceased' thinking of it. It feels weird and uncommon. It's only a few examples but it's certainly ChatGPT's translation quality with few edits from human hands to be consistent. I prefer the easier and simplier translation from early chapters. Easy to read and understand. Easy and fast to imagine.

Honest reviews are here.. This novel seems attractive and unique from the novel title.. But I am so disappointed.. If you look from the novel title "Cultivation: Start from Simplifying Martial Arts Technique" did seem going to be OP MC.. But it not.. The "Simplifying Martial Arts Technique" means that it really simplifies the technique.. For example, MC got martial arts technique, but to increase the proficiency of that technique, MC just needed to wiggle his finger.. There are 3 stages for each technique (beginner, perfect, great completion).. Normal people need to train normally, but MC can just get the highest stage of the technique by just "wiggle his finger" or "breathing" or "cooking" or "walking" and so on.. So, you must be wondering why MC does not become OP with such a strong system? Well, first reason: to simplify the technique, he needs a lot of money, but the author wouldn't let MC get money easily at all.. There are no lucky encounters that can give MC a lot of money or any scene where MC robbed villain/murder/enemy.. The second reason is that you need "technique" to simplify the skill, and the author only allows MC to get the low LEVEL technique.. All strong techniques are not accessible to MC.. The third reason is that MC is too coward to take action causing him to always RUNNING AWAY, and too caution to make a bold move causing super slow in his cultivation progress..

I have never seen worse antagonists, the reasoning for the antagonist in this story is horrible even for cultivation story standards. For example the zhang family guards hired an assassin to kill the mc, the reason wasn’t even explained. The mc has literally never treated the guard badly, im pretty sure the guard tried to kill mc because the mc didn’t want to wait for the guard to teach him the techniques, and instead asked for the manuals directly(which the guard gave him)

This book offers a surprisingly good quality of translation, which is a rarity in the genre. While the main character starts off weak and inexperienced, his growth journey, aided by his system, is compelling. The plot is intriguing, although it leaves much of the evil elements unexplained, adding to their mysterious allure as ghosts and supernatural entities. Personally, I find this ambiguity appealing and am eager to delve deeper into the story. Despite encountering some editing mistakes, particularly earlier on, they have been rectified by chapter 400. This novel is vastly underrated, with numerous unexplored facets that keep readers intrigued. Witnessing the protagonist evolve into a formidable cultivator is gratifying; his transformation is believable and well-executed. Overall, I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of this novel and highly recommend it for its quality storytelling.

Based on the first 40 chapters, I’ve enjoyed the story thus far. The MC is low key, but decisive. He does his best to keep his head down, but when given no other choice, he will eliminate threats. The antagonists encountered so far are predictable and third rate for the most part…though he hasn’t had his final confrontations with a few, so that could change. So far there isn’t much character development outside of the MC (and that’s minimal), but given the fast paced tag it was within expectations in my opinion. One thing I’m appreciative of even though things are moving fast around him is that I feel like his cheat isn’t eccessive given how much work he has to put into unlocking the perks, which slows the pace down and provides some tension. Overall I’m hoping this gets translated as I’m interested in reading the rest [img=recommend]

I quite like it. I think from today onward I won't bother reading or paying attention to opinionated reviews that praise or scold a novel simply on their personal taste. I suggest others also just give a novel a try and form your own opinions yourself.
