Synopsis
Myriad Online wanted Grey to play to appease an investor.
His crime syndicate wanted him to play to set up racketeering operations.
Gilgamesh, the God of Greed, wanted Grey to play to amass wealth for him.
All were ecstatic when he enthusiastically agreed. However, things didn’t go as planned—for any of them.
Before starting, Grey stole a game testing guide, giving him insider information on the game.
Then, contrary to expectations, he refused to play the game!
Instead, he used the information to exploit players and become [independently] wealthy!
- PVP? Is that a gambling event?
- Mandatory events? Did someone say they needed protection?
- Level grinding? Is that when you use cheat weaponry to level up quickly?
- Quests? Obviously. How else would he exploit known NPCs?
Okay, so maybe he crashed a few major quest lines, but there’s nothing worse than forced development, ammirite?
Grey was a walking disaster for everyone involved.
However, by the time Myriad Online, his syndicate, and the government decided to stop him, Grey and his gaggle of bloodthirsty combat maids were already too rich, influential, and powerful to hold down.
Not even the gods could tame the teen, who accidently stumbled upon some things he really, really shouldn’t have.

- I put the villain tag because Grey grew up in an organized crime syndicate... and acts like it. XD However, he's not a villain character, so don't get bent that he treats his murderous yandere maids like princesses—as they deserve.
- Myriad Online maid outfits have Level 999 plot armor.
- The auxiliary chapter is a game guide with Grey’s stats. Status screens replace info dumps and then disappear.

5 stars for the author using real Linux commands for hacking. It's rare to find an author who does research, let alone write about the most obnoxious, toxic online forum time sink death trap known as Linux and survive. It's more impressive because it's one chapter and then the story becomes a standard web novel. Satisfying. The mc is mental, he just handed a maid a shotgun, and there's meme references. Let's go. So I'll 🤞 and hope the novel doesn't suck later so my names's not plastered on charming garbage.
Really loving the novel so far. The MC is quite intelligent and shrewd. So far he is a shrewd businessman following the path of God Grid/Greed from Overgeared and actually becoming over-geared. He also reminds me of Felix from The Supremecy Games from his actions, sly tongue, and intelligence. The world resembles The Legendary Mechanic from how Sci-fi/ game like it is. Can't say if there is any magic or such yet though. I really hope this novel continues to completion, would be a shame if it was dropped.
Great story so far! Love the intelligent MC who’s actually written in an intelligent way! Great fun, and plenty of Easter eggs during the auction.
Some things I like about the novel: 1. I like the way the system looks. Petty but critical. 2. MC arrogantly streams his cheat advantage from the start instead of thinking a freak nuclear explosion will kill them if someone learns their name 3. MC becomes famous for something other than level grinding 4. I laughed until I was nearly hallucinating from oxygen deprivation from the end of chapter 14 to 16, so I wrote this review. However, I got most of the references 5. The MC has a personality
