Synopsis

He is frigid and icy to the touch, but even he cannot escape their sweltering connection, not even when fate itself defies their love.

EXCERPT:

"I think your wife would find this scene quite unsettling," I reminded him, my voice unwillingly softer, albeit with a painful pang in my chest.

I obstinately focused my eyes on the frying pan.

Nonetheless, my golden eyes were trembling nonstop from his presence.

My quivering fingertips on the lukewarm wooden handle felt numb.

His deep voice responded with an airy chuckle.

He followed to further impress his well-proportioned body against my perspiring back, his strong arms curling over my clenched stomach.

I could feel every curve and plane of his body gently calling my body to surrender and wanted so much to moan in his embrace, but I bit my lower lip and suppressed the urge.

His chin was on my shoulder as he asked, teasingly, his breath igniting tingles over my bare neck, "Is that really what you think?"

Yes, there's a huge age gap which shocked even the author(my horny self *anxious laughter*), but that's supposed to be a secret.

This is a fast-paced romance in a contemporary setting albeit with some supernatural elements.

It's in England, but you don't need to imagine all the characters with a British accent. I sure didn't.

My first attempt at writing mature scenes - I'm sorry, my sweet, sweet innocence(the absence of my innocence shall be mourned in silence)(and the innocence of my readers). Thanks for reading!

So far, good! The grammar and punctuation are pretty good, and the character’s backstories are well-made. The idea is quite unique- I haven’t seen anything like that in the time I’ve been on here. Overall, a pretty good book.

The story so far narrates of a woman who left home due to abuse and other circumstances. By chance she found a home where she could stay for a while after offering her service to the butler. Although she was rejected at first, the daughter of the owner of the house took a liking on her which made the father or the owner accept her in the house. The plot is interesting and I commend how well the author write and use the language proficiently. I do not have any issues in reading the author's work. I have nothing more to recommend. Based on my observation this work has a good potential to be a great story.

I love a first-person novel and I’m currently writing one myself. It allows you get to read how the protagonist (Ash) feels, it’s just like the protagonist telling his story himself. I love the plot and the story development. This is really a great read!
