Riches was not what the Devil wanted.

Fame was not what the Devil wanted.

But acceptance was.

Lucifer knew he could never return to heaven that he could never be accepted by the beings that he once raged war against.

But he didn't want his son to suffer the same fate.

Through belief or through strength, Lucien Lemuel Morningstar would ascend to heaven —something that even his father couldn't.

Because this was not Lucifer's story, but Lemuel's.
