There's a surprising amount of knowledge actually tossed into the novel. The whole thing felt very rough at first, but its not to hard to steamroll past that and genuinely enjoy the MC rising up.
This is a great hollywood novel, I highly recommend if you're into showbiz and directing stories!

Una historia con inicio distinto al usual en este tipo de historias, más "realista" al ingresar al mundo de Hollywood. Aunque el inicio, personalmente, no fue totalmente mi agrado. Lentamente comienza tomar forma la personalidad y dirección de la obra. Siendo una creacion muy disfrutable.
Too much Chinese works on the latter half, I love those movies but it wasn't really important to the story. From Magical Realism to pure delusional fantasy. Ball Lightning wasn't even published at that time, but MC somehow "adapted" it to a series.
5-2-3-5-5: I like the more realistic approach, but there's too much info dump that wasn't neccessary at all.

It had a slow start, but I liked how he developed the story to his liking, at his own pace. I would like to see a lot of things, but I know it all depends on the author.
i thought this was boring but i still tried it because there are not many hollywood stories here.im glad i continued reading,this story got much better during and after his first movie,
I don't recommend reading it. The author expresses his own, unnecessary views on films as the truth. Moreover, these views are very superficial. There are an endless number of films in the world with different genres, but the author judges them all by the same standard, what else can you expect from a pseudo-connoisseur of “art” who, in the 21st century, considers feature films to be the pinnacle of cinematography. I would call feature films an echo of the past. Why watch them at all? You can read the book on which the feature film was based, and from the Book you will get much more than two hours of screen time. And in general, TV series are more suitable for such topics, thanks to their timing, they will allow you to delve deeper into the history, plot, and revelation of characters. If the main character really was a connoisseur of art, as the author portrays him, he would make a series to express his thoughts. But according to the author, the series is secondary garbage, because they don’t give an Oscar for it. Heh - what else can you expect from an author with one-sided thinking.
