Synopsis

I'm terrified. My fingers tremble as they fly across my laptop's worn keyboard.

MAGIC IN THE FAMILY [completed]: An alcoholic mother and a twin sister transforming into something mythical defined Moray's childhood. Now, as an expecting mother married to a werewolf, Moray dedicates this memoir to her baby.

CURSE IN THE FAMILY [Starts at chapter 9]: Growing up as a freak in a werewolf pack becomes the least of Soren's worries when they come across an avian trying to kill her teenage son. After saving the teen (with help from the pack), Soren crushes hard on the shy and witty boy. But when a curse on the young avian brings danger, Soren must decide if their "puppy-love" for an emotionally broken teen is worth risking the lives of pack and family.

Updates on Mondays and most Thursdays.

So far this book has been so enticing with the writing style and how descriptive the scenes have been, it truly paints a picture in my mind of how things are truly happening. The characters are very likeable and this story has so much to offer! I can't wait for more!

Nice story about a magic family and their extremely awkward relationship with each other. I like the characters and this world. They seem full of personality and charm. I kinda wish the pacing of the mother's backstory was a little faster and some of the really big paragraphs could use a slicing here and there... But overall, it's just a nice chill read.

This novel…. Is beautiful and refreshing! Not only would you feel an emotional connection to Moray, you would also enjoy the way Author writes. The flow was great and before I knew it, I am reading chapter after chapter. If you are still curious, please take a look! Well done author!

Off to a great start! The chapters are often quite short, but there’s something happening in every chapter that keeps you engaged. I can relate to the mermaids sister and the weight of responsibility she must feel having to cater towards her family, and I really like how the author has gone on to describe her growth in just a few chapters. The characters are realistic with depth, and the story is open for opportunities. The Grammer and style is fine, and flows easily. Keep it up!

The novel is great! Well-written and easy to understand. I have read tons of novels and some of them have similar tropes in each stories but this one is a gem for me! I hope the author would update more chapters. Also, just an advice. It would be better if you add something in the synopsis to attract more readers. That's all! ^_^ Keep up the work, author! ^_^

I liked the imagination of the author to come up with this story. The flow of the story is good, since it is just the beginning of the novel, there is a lot of room to develop it. Keep it up author

A modern take on mermaids and magical creatures with a very realistic undertone. And an interesting speculation on what the struggles that a mermaid/half-mermaid would have to go through if they were to exist in the current day and age. Although short, I truly connected with our protagonist as she was telling her story to her future child. Left me very curious as to what would become of all the characters so I’ll be waiting to read the points of view of the other characters! Particularly wondering how the child of a half mermaid and werewolf would be like! :P Congrats on your first work! Smooth writing and storytelling with relatable and realistic characters.

First of all, the flow of the story is great, engaging, and easy to understand. Excellent creativity and interesting plot. This story is different from all the story i have read. Different in the means of writing but somehow it's interesting. All and all the story has a great potential. Will recommend everyone to read at least once.

Honestly, I felt the pace slow, but it is largely because I haven't read a novel constructed in this type. The entire storytelling model is very new to me, something I have never been accustomed to. The super-focused detailing is difficult for me. Now for the second half (Curse of the family)... it paid off brother. Wish you kept the first half shorter. Loved the setup and the start of it. (I accidentally posted a wrong gif and I don't know to remove it. Ignore it :)

This starts off really strong with a mother writing a letter to her yet unborn child and that itself was enough for me to get intrigued. I personally like when someone takes a modern approach at a fantasy storyline as you can relate better with the character. I also really liked the use of dialogues and writing is simple and easy to understand, which altogether makes it a enjoyable read. And just a friendly advice, I think you should add more to your synopsis, that way it can grab the attention of more people. I would like to recommend this to everyone and keep up the good work author :)
