AN(1): A jumpchain is a genre of fanfic in which a person/character is allowed to traverse the omniverse or multiverse or whatever you want to call it, when they go to these new verses they are given a form and have to create a build( You can see an example within my auxiliary ), they then have that builds stuff(abilities, perks, items, origins, background, age, gender, etc). From Mortal to Divinity by Servant_ambrosius is a good example of a Jump-Chain that's popular on webnovel.
