The second coming of spring

She was 16 when they first met and 21 when he confessed the second time.
She had a soft spot for him. He was the only boy she talked to freely in school. She felt at peace when she was with him. He was the only thing that remained unchanged.
But then he confessed.
She moved to the other side of the world without hesitation, trying to forget him.
“Senior, I am tall, handsome, young, and rich today. We have known each other for five years so we aren’t strangers either. I have worked hard to be a man of your type. Will you still reject me a second time?”
But he came to find her.

She was the only person who didn’t call him a “kid”. She didn’t blame him when he talked badly about people who were mean to him.
He worked only for her. Because of her. The man thought she felt the same way, maybe she even did but when he confessed, she rejected him.
“I’m sorry. I can’t accept your confession. I’m flying abroad next week to start university to become a doctor. But I know you’ll find someone better because you are a great guy.” She smiled apologetically, patted his shoulder, and moved ahead without looking back.
Meeting her a second time was nothing but a coincidence or you could call it fate. The man smiled darkly and thought.
‘Now that I have found you, I won’t let you run away a second time.’
