So I sneaked out of the dorm and walked stealthily to the dungeon-dome. 


The gates at the dome were closed. 




Now, what? Lockpicking? I never did that, I could try to copy a game.

They had leather armor and rusty weapons. 


The Orc grunted something and the hobgoblins began to charge at me while the mage began to cast a spell. 


I threw a knife at the first two hobgoblins, killing them on the spot. 
The other three didn't slow down and I took my sword out of the inventory, right in time. 
While blocking the first sword, I kicked another hobgoblin in the stomach and send him flying. 


The fifth hobgoblin slashed from the side and I backed away, right into the fireball from the mage. 


An explosion erupted the corridor and the remaining enemy squeaked in joy, expecting me to be dead. 
It was just hot for me, the fire mana can't damage me because I'm immune to any hostile spells and the skill insensitivity to pain did the rest.

I´m wearing my dark armor with my mask, completely drenched in blood so I surely look intimidating and not normal for them.

A guy with a bow replied. 


"You don´t know? You aren´t often inside of the dungeon aren't ya?" 


"It´s my first day of school." Me 


"Then You must be a good fighter to reach the 21th floor alone did you skip school? You have school tomorrow extensive absence could be bad for your grades. Or did you sign off from classes?" Guy

Kira was waiting at the entrance. 


"Hi Kira, this is Pia, my classmate. Pia that's Kira one of my roommates." I introduced both. 


"Nice to meet you." Pia 


"Same with me." Kira 


We went inside and wanted to go upstairs to the fourth floor, but Kira asked. 


"Eh? Do you want to eat up there? " 


"Yeah , why not?" I asked in return. 


"It´s expensive, I don't have enough points." Kira 


"Didn't you hunt or hand in some products in the last days?" Pia asked. 


"I did not know if we were allowed to do it in the first week." Kira 


"I´ll buy you something, now come." I said and continued to walk up. 


"T..Thank you." Kira said and followed me. 



I ate a whole chicken, Kira had a soup with beef and Pia ate a sandwich. 


"Pia, Clair is someone in your class in the art course?" Kira asked after a few minutes. 


"I don't know, do you know someone, Clair?" Pia asked me. 


"No, why?" I asked Kira 


"Our teacher pushed a blackboard in our art classroom and asked us if someone draw the picture on it. 
It was so pretty most of us started to cry while we saw it." Kira 







There it is but why is it not on our blackboard?

A week before: 


A janitor had the job to look through the classrooms, some students of the old semester often wrote something on the blackboards and he has to erase it. 


He opened the blackboard in Class A1 and saw a drawing, it was beautiful and he unintentionally began to cry. 


It was a scenery of a field, with birds, a creek, a little waterfall and some horses who were drinking from the creek. They had so much detail, that they looked as if they were alive. It was a beautiful scene of a mare with her filly. The sun was setting on the horizon and the night slowly began. 


The janitor stood there for half an hour, then run out to fetch the art teacher. 


They both came back and the art teacher also began to cry. 


He asked the janitor who drew this picture, but he did not know, so the janitor had to switch the blackboard with a new one. 
The art teacher wanted to ask in his classes who drew this masterpiece of a picture. 


He asked his second years, without a result, so he asked the first-year students but also to no avail. 
So he went to the reception to ask if someone was in this room over the vacations, but there were no records. 


He did not know what he could do to find this person but would surely not give up....

Back to Clair: 


"Oh that one, I drew it while I waited for Miss Malinda," I said while eating. 


"You did?!" Kira shouted. 


"Yeah, I was bored..." Me 


"You have to meet the art teacher Mr. Wafuro he surely wants to meet you." Kira 


"No, I don't think it's soo good, I was in a hurry. " I replied and she was quiet. 



We finished eating in silence and went to our next class. 




The teacher came in and introduced herself as a Mrs. Siewa. 


The lesson was really interesting. I learned a few things regarding my stats and skills. 


Stats: 


You normally get for each level up points. They are not determined. They can rise and fall duo to your actions between the level ups. 


For example, if you practice balancing on a thin row every day until you level up, you'll get more agility points than a person who just ran everyday. 


There's also something like talent and inherited properties. They can rise or decrease the gain of stats. 
Most of the people just get a few points. 


You could also train, it gets harder the higher your stat is but you can increase them without a level up. 







That does not explain why I have so damn high stats, prodigy over prodigy´s could have helped.








But then I would just get 4 times more than the best one. It could be that prodigy over prodigy´s also includes monster and other beings....

The level increase with skills are a little different, you can't level them with level ups. 
You have to train your skill and it will level by itself. 
It is said, that the heroes from Raska have something like skill points and can level them individually.

We also had some history about our school. 


The school is 312 years old and is built on an ancient dungeon. 
We could change our points into money, but the exchange course is 100 points for one copper. 







The guy with over a million points would just get 100 gold coins if he exchanges all of his points.









I don't think that it´s much, but Pia said that a normal noble only has 10 to 50 gold a year.








And some assume that a the kingdom only has 3.000.000 gold for their yearly budget.








Which in return would mean, that I'm filthy rich, I have more than 700.00.000 gold coins

The Dungeon under the school has more than 50 floors. 
It´s just so that no one was able to reach further down than the 65th floor. 
It also has traps from the 11th floor upwards. 


Only the floors from 1 to 50 are available for students. 
Students once could go further down, but all higher floors resulted in too many deaths. 


Some other minor things: 







the headmaster has to be a Tier 10 magician,








our school mostly gets the third place on the school tournament,








it is well known for their acceptance of non-human people,








you can stay in school, as long as you pay each four years for your courses,








there are tournaments for adventurers and students each Sunday,








the students won´t be convened during a war,








each school can make their own rules,








and there are no special rules for nobles, they are the same as peasants in this school.

The next morning, the students of the Grayshade class gathered in the same building to attend their second lesson.
Thaddeus was the professor of the course and he was smiling while giving his speech in front of the youths.
"You must know that runes are a form of inscription. The fields in which inscriptions can be applied are limitless. You can inscribe a weapon and you would obtain a blade that can pierce anything. You can inscribe a ship to make it fly. You can inscribe runes for teleportation. Spells are a form of inscriptions too."
He was holding the lesson regarding general inscriptions of which Noah was particularly interested.
After his adventure in the separate dimension, he had really understood the might of inscription masters.
'The inheritance ground was completely made from runes. The defensive wall of the Balvan family had runes that could protect the mansion from a dragon attacking. My sabers have inscriptions that can make them fix themselves. This power is too useful, I need to understand how it works!'
"However, the requirements to be successful in this art are quite harsh."
He looked in the direction of Ruth Eeggi and nodded in approval.
"There is one main school regarding the process of inscriptions which is called "Attunement with the "Breath"". It consists in becoming able to read the fluctuation of the "Breath" and then copying it in a material form. For example, I specialize in space runes, which means that every time I create any one of them, I need to inscribe the behavior that the "Breath" would have during the action that I want to reproduce."
He opened his hand and a small golden rune came out of it.
He then crashed it, making a blinding light surround him.
When the light faded, he had disappeared from his position.
"This is just a simple version but it should be enough to give you an example."
Thaddeus' voice resounded from the back of the room and all the students turned in its direction only to see Thaddeus slowly walking back to his desk.
"However, to make it I had to inscribe the act of teleportation that the "Breath" showed me. I had to inscribe my location of landing and I needed to use my power to make it work."
"To learn how the "Breath" 'speaks', I had to isolate myself for five years in an environment with a high density of "Breath" and attune with its flow. Then I had to learn how to translate that language in the form of inscriptions. Only at that moment, I had become worthy of the title of inscription master. Yet, there are exceptions in this world."
He pointed at Ruth and continued.
"Miss Ruth Eeggi was born with an innate attunement to the "Breath". As you know, the "Breath" is everywhere, it is the essence of Heaven and Earth. Heaven and Earth are the same world you live in so it's no wonder that she is able to predict certain events by reading their "Breath". Her training as an inscription master will focus only on the translation process, I believe that in less than five years she will be able to perform her first inscriptions."
The students turned to her showing envy for the most part.
However, big smiles were on their faces as they looked at her.
'It seems that the position of inscription master is quite worthy of respect to make the heirs of the large-size noble families show courtesy.'
Noah thought briefly and then focused on his situation.
'I believe that the "Breath" is a form of representation of the laws of the universe. In my previous world, scientists used math to understand the laws and technology to make use of them. Here they use the cultivator to understand and the inscriptions to reproduce them. However, I never felt anything even similar to a language, it's just a form of energy in my mind.'
Thaddeus spoke again, his expression turned in a stern one.
"I will be honest, many of you won't have any success in this field. The first step in the "Attunement" method is to become one with the "Breath" around you and then hear it speak. If you don't have enough talent or your will is too in contrast with the standards of Heaven and Earth, you will never be able to cross the first step."
'Is my ambition an obstacle in the point of view of Heaven and Earth? How can someone test it?'
Noah thought but Thaddeus was immediate in solving his doubts.
"The test at the end of this week will clearly tell you if you have any hope of pursuing the "Attunement" method so as your talents in the different disciplines that the academy teaches."
He sighed briefly.
"There are other methods to create inscriptions but they are generally more dangerous and with a smaller success rate. However, for those that have no talent in the "Attunement" method and still want to pursue the path of inscriptions, the academy will call external teachers to give you private lessons. Of course, you would have to pay every lesson unless they take you as their disciple. Also, many of them are not as reliable as the actual professors of the academy so I advise you to think carefully before deciding to invest your Credits in that."
"Anyhow, you should all have a general knowledge of the topic since it is the most common process to create techniques. With a foundation in inscriptions, the process of creating cultivation methods suitable for you will be easier."
The lesson went on discussing other applications of the art and many students were interested in the runes that Thaddeus used.
He admitted that they weren't his creation but a legacy of the Royal family.
He compared them to a martial art with more requirements, with the most important one being reaching the level of an inscription master.
'This seems so complex.'
Noah thought on his way back to the lodging.
'If I'm not talented in it, there are no real problems in the short run. However, when I will have to create techniques for myself the situation will be tough. I can just hope that I'll be lucky with this one.'
He stopped right in front of his door.
'Shit! If it's about luck, I'll never be able to do it! After the test, I should probably start researching about the other methods that he mentioned.'

"So, that's how my life ends, what a waste of time it was...". 
These were the last thoughts of a young man, shot by accident in a fight between local gangs. Little did he know that he would soon wake up in another world, a world of cultivation!

A few days passed with the children settling into an easy rhythm of attending classes and eating packed lunches together before splitting off to do their respective things. Alex was always seen hanging around the art rooms. The girl was often seen bugging any art teachers available and it was working very well. Alex learnt a lot from the teacher in charge of the pottery club from before. In fact, she was probably Alex's go-to teacher for any queries.
Scarlet would be surprised if she didn't spend all her time in one of the unoccupied art studios. Contrary to Wilmer's initial opinion, Scarlet thought that her sister had a really good chance of winning that art competition. The Wilde princess had very good guidance and she was extremely hardworking. Scarlet would know it because she'd seen the draft sketches from before and after private lessons. Even when Alex went home, she would spend hours drawing after dinner right until they had to go to bed.
The blogger hadn't been idling either. Apart from trying to complete a year's worth of homework in advance, she was busy with the very first assignment that Debbie assigned her. Decorating Judah wasn't a one-person project, but Scarlet thought that it was only fair to get some assistance. She wanted nothing less than the best for her very first book even if it wouldn't be a published manuscript. Although it didn't quite appeal to Scarlet, she could understand why Debbie found the job of an editor to be fun.
Just last night, Scarlet successfully completed Debbie's assignment. Tina helped with the plant press and Alex was more than thrilled to lend a hand in spray painting the leaves silver and gold as required. Claire did the finishing touches and laminated the cover once they'd hot-glued the plant art and decorated the book with glitter and colours. Wilmer couldn't be prouder of his daughters' very first work and took a photo to commemorate it, much to his wife's envy.
The early completion of her assignment gave Scarlet plenty of time for other things apart from spacing out the completion of homework in advance. Although Debbie hasn't told her anything about developing a writer's style, the blogger took it upon herself to do some observation. If every writer has a unique style of story-telling, every individual must have a unique manner of speaking. As such, it was only natural that Scarlet turned her attention to the people around her.
Strangely, while doing so, the blogger noticed something slightly strange about Jasper. While the boy was still easy-going like before, his manner of speech became more astute and his quips were slightly harsher. Alex even flinched at one of them because it hit a sore spot but Jasper apologised quickly enough so the Wilde princess didn't think too much of it. If one had to put into perspective, Jasper was now like a mysterious ninja. He still spent time with them just enough to keep them busy but not enough for them to find out what he's up to.
That simply wouldn't do. The young writer was curious by nature so she decided that she would uncover the reason for Jasper's recent change. The boy was often tense and up to something. His hair wasn't neat and Jasper had been bringing a lot of things to school lately. She didn't detect any lies when Jasper told them he had things going on with the Entrepreneur's Circle, but the girl just couldn't help but worry. What if the scary older boys were bullying Jasper and he couldn't say a word about it because he wanted to stay in the club?
Hence, Scarlet was determined to uncover the truth with her infamous sleuthing skills - with or without crutches.
Lessons with Danny were always interesting. Jasper didn't skip this time because it was the first class they had in the morning. However, immediately after class ended, the boy excused himself and told the girls to have lunch without him. Alex wasn't too affected. In fact, she took the opportunity to do the same and excused herself to work on her modelling practice. they'd started to use figurines and pictures for practice after doing nothing but drawing basic shapes and lines for so long. Scarlet understood her sister's excitement and didn't stop her.
On the other hand, Scarlet kept an eye on Jasper. She might be disabled for a bit but she wasn't incapable. Even without any information from Alex, the girl easily found out the location of that classroom used as the Entrepreneur's Circle. When one thought about delinquents, it wasn't anything too far from Scarlet's expectations. She simply found the most avoided spot in the school that wasn't the staff office and explored in that direction.
The classroom walls were full of poorly done graffiti meant to serve as something more of a warning statement rather than a work of art. It's meant to keep the regular students away and intimidate staff. Sadly, it just wasn't enough to deter Scarlet, who was determined to uncover Jasper's secret.
Scarlet could hear Jasper's voice as she approached and it wasn't her imagination either. From what she could make out, they were talking about... Math? Not wanting to give herself away so quickly or interrupt the 'lesson' in session, Scarlet hobbled to the backdoor and listened in.
There were sounds of paper smacking against something solid and the occasional protest from one of the 'students', but none of the delinquents actually acted violently. If anything, Scarlet thought that they were awfully respectful and tolerant of Jasper. The girl wondered why her friend and live-in housemate was suddenly interested in becoming a teacher. However, she wasn't quite expecting the door to be thrown open with a very tall boy with wild hair to be glaring at her. Scarlet wanted to get out of the way, but she was quickly grabbed by her school bag.
The blogger dropped her crutches as the boy hauled her inside the classroom. Jasper was surprised and slightly shocked to see the 'spy' that one of the delinquents had caught. Someone claimed that there had been people snooping around their classroom for a while now and the whole class was on high alert trying to catch that skilful spy, but nobody was successful. He highly doubted that Scarlet was the spy. After all, that spy left very quickly once he heard footsteps approaching the door no matter how quickly or quietly they were. Scarlet was on crutches, it was most certainly not her.
"Wait!" the gardener's son yelled. "Don't hurt her! She's a friend who's like a sister. Let me talk to her, the rest of you focus on copying the formula on the board."
With that, Jasper hurried over to pick up the walking aid that had fallen and helped Scarlet up. They decided to take the conversation elsewhere because there were simply too many ears in the classroom. Also, Jasper didn't feel that it was safe for Scarlet to be in a boy's territory when she was such a small and frail, not to mention injured, female. He might be able to fend for himself, but Scarlet might be at the mercy of some of the meaner boys.
"Why are you here? Didn't you have things to do? Where's Alex?"
The blogger smiled. "She's in the art room again practising for the art competition. Also, I was curious. You've been rather on the edge lately and since I finished the assignment Debbie gave me, I thought I might check on what you're up to. You've been so secretive lately. Don't tell me you're embarrassed to let us find out that you want to be a teacher..."
The boy rolled his eyes beneath his bangs. He knew what Scarlet was trying to do but he didn't bother. It was true. He'd been so stressed lately because they boys didn't show much progress with their studies. While they were willing to work hard, there was only so much Jasper could do for inflexible muscle heads.
With a heavy sigh, Jasper told her about his plans to conquer the class and get these delinquents to reform and do his bidding. "I can't build an empire on my own. Smart people often don't want to work under others because they have their own visions. It's the perfect opportunity for me to see what I can come up with. If I can win these guys over, I might be able to form a good foundation. Even though many of them don't seem very intellectually promising, these guys have something most people don't. They're a loyal bunch."
Scarlet nodded. "I see. Would you mind if I sat in? I do find it a little hard to write my blog now that I have fewer people to observe. As you can see, our class is mostly empty."
Jasper laughed. "Sure. I'll tell them not to disturb you. If your leg starts hurting or you need to get something, feel free to let me know. Also, thank you for worrying."
The blogger smiled. "Don't say that. It's only natural. We're family after all, right? Blood doesn't matter here. There is no Permanent Scarlet without all three of us. We're the perfect team here. A little crazy, but if it works, I don't think you have the right to object."
Jasper grinned. "Ha! As if I could forget. Alright. Let me have a little talk with the boys to set some ground rules and then you can sit in. Oh, if you don't have much to do, could you help me guide some of them with the language aspect? I believe word problems are 50% language and 50% math. I can teach the math part, but the language gets tricky."
Scarlet beamed. "Yes, sire! Only in exchange for boy gossips."
Jasper only laughed in response before he went in to inform his new gang of the changes while Scarlet waited outside patiently. Internally, the blogger was vibrating from excitement. Sixteen new individuals to analyse for free. Today must be her lucky day!

Far from the school was a floating majestic castle. In its imposing presence was a small city, with bustling people. It was close to the capital but similar to its own independent city. In it were various noble abodes, and the merchants were on the rich side. Selling only the most expensive luxury items, in fancy stores. The best word to describe this place was between wealth and status.

Inside the floating castle, in the throne room was the Headmaster and Dante. They were kneeling in respect to a man on the throne, he had a mundane aura, and a crown on his head. He looked as though he was nothing short of a commoner, but the black armored guards near him said otherwise. 

As well as the black-robed mage, that reeked of blood and as his imposing presence created the suppression of a mountain's majesty. The man was focusing on a something on a piece of paper. His face in contemplation as Dante, and the headmaster quietly attended to him.

"Dante are you responsible for this work?" the man said in an even but hypnotizing voice

Dante slowly raised his head and stone-faced he spoke to the man.

"I am indeed responsible your majesty, I gave my disciple a copy and he left in the library. But this isn't complete yet, I just had Brian learn a bit" He said shamelessly

"Very good, I will fund you in the pursuit of this plan. But my only concern is that the spell circle is similar to Grand Mage Remmie's."

The king said in an examining tone, as he watched Dante for any suspicious behavior.

"I exchanged some information for Grand Mage Remmie's spellcraft. But it was my own private information regarding the Dread ruins." He said with a sigh

"The Dread Ruins..." said the king as he massaged his temples in sadness

"That ruin has taken too much, especially from you Dante. I haven't seen you in quite a while, how have you been?" the king said with concern

"I have gotten better your majesty, after the ruin. I never felt comfortable coming into your presence, and proclaiming my failure. But I am recovering, and learning for the good of the kingdom." Dante said with a bowed head

"Thank you, Remmie, do take care of my daughter. She is very feisty, and I know you couldn't take her as your disciple. But just keep watch over her." the king asked

"Though she is not my disciple, she has my favor. As I have gained yours in my time of need." Dante said assuredly 

"Good, you are dismissed, you will receive your research grant soon." the king said kindly

Dante stood up when the king stopped speaking. He quietly left the room leaving the headmaster and the king to speak to each other.

"Has anything suspicious turned up." The king said to the headmaster

"Nothing odd, it's very likely that Dante is responsible. But I still feel concerned about his involvement with Remmie, your majesty." The headmaster replied

"That is no problem mages convene often, and aren't persuaded by nationalities. Only if he accepts heretical power, or joins the nobility of other countries has he betrayed us. But what of the boy, you told me of? What about his involvement in this matter?" The king said dismissively

"It was purely circumstantial, his talent has only been proven better and better with time." The headmaster quickly replied 

"Good, keep an eye on him; when he is of sufficient level. I will make sure to make him a permanent part of the kingdom." The king said alleviating the headmaster's concerns.

"How will you do that, your majesty?" The headmaster asked with a titled head.
 
"By building bonds with the royal family." The king said with a dastardly chuckle.

When Dante left he returned to his abode and slammed his hand against the wall in anger.

"How can he speak like he wasn't responsible? He sent me there with that exploratory group, why else would I be like this?" He roared

He threw a few things around, the room as they slammed around and shattered. Making the room like a junkyard with random piles of trash everywhere. Brian walked in and watched this happen until Dante calmed himself and just sat down. Then Brian came closer to Dante and comforted him.

"You know we must stay calm, revenge should be your last thought," Brian said as he patted Dante on the shoulder

"I understand, thank you," Dante said as he stood up and cleaned the room with one swish of his hand

"What of Lucas, you gave him the equipment correct?" Dante asked

"Indeed, he asked for it and I bought it for him," Brian said quickly

"It all points to Lucas, so is he responsible? Is this a plan of Joshua's?" Dante asked

"Most likely, we are unwitting accomplices in part of the plan. As long as we don't do anything rash, this will probably slide." Brian replied

"Then Lucas' position in this plan is much more important than we imagined," Dante said in a solemn tone

"What about Grand Mage Remmie, he knows of Joshua right?" Brian said in a questioning tone

"Yes, he does he is a part of the Kirin plan. Lucas used some info from Remmie, so maybe they are related." Dante said

"But how would they be related?" Brian asked

"Rather than them being related, what if the plans coincide?" Dante said in fear

"But one is about creating a super soldier, and the other is about the treasury," Brian said in a disbelieving tone.

"Who told us it was about the treasury? A demon of the underworld....since when have Lodite's demons known to be trustworthy?" Dante said in a persuasive tone.

"True...." Brian reluctantly said

"The signs are all there, this scheme is more than just the treasury. It's just a question of how well we can conceal ourselves when the scheme comes to fruition." Dante said with concern.

"Then we need to finish the technique. You need a strong ice energy, to neutralize the fire, and removed the death Qi. I haven't reached that level yet." Brian quickly responded

"I trust you will finish it, your talent is even higher than my previous one," Dante said

"So what should we do about Lucas?" Brian asked

"Nothing but help him as he asks, we took the danger for him now. But luckily this danger is profitable, just quietly slip him some sword marks." Dante said

"Understood," Brian said affirmatively

As things unfolded I proceeded with my training regime, I used the sun saffrons and blood aura to boost my power. Slowly I developed my foundation and also researched spellcraft.

It was an arcane art, that was built on a mathematical foundation and magic. Spell circles are the art of manipulating magic power without a magician. Though they could never beat a magician, they could be used for large-scale magic, or to simplify the steps of a spell.

Restriction magic is about using deduction to find heaven's path. Restrictions are heavenly laws and by comprehending the heavens, one comprehends how to restrict it. But restriction magic only applies to beings without consciousness.

I spent my time researching the math of spell circles and restrictions, the design of them, and all the supplementary knowledge I could find on floor 1 and 2. I only found some of the math, and design which left me with conjecture and incomplete models.

'Drrak isn't my processing of this too easy?' I asked I had a suspicion about myself, learning the math was too easy. Although I had always been clever, I wasn't a born genius. Yet I could innate understanding all physical structures so easily.

'That's the processing power of a mage and the frightening body of a knight, combined with the superior analytical abilities of magic eyes. It created a unique combination in you, that gives you an intuitive understanding of physical structures. As you progress that will increase to higher levels.' Drrak said

'hmm....' I couldn't help but become lost in thought.

Over time I find myself more and more different from before. At this point, I am nothing short of unrecognizable from my previous self. Saying I died in that desert isn't wrong, but the person who came back to life wasn't me. Especially considering the fact that  I am the host of the Lord of Shadows...

I put my existential crises in the back of my head as I focused on my status. My points have risen another 6 full points after a full round of training. I had reached level 4 and Drrak analysis of the power of true qi was proceeding well. 

By my projections, he should be done when I reach level 5 or so. So I quickly went back to my training, as I embraced the aura of the winged serpent's blood. My spell circle quickly operated absorbing the strong blood energy. Then channeling it throughout my body, granting me stronger vitality.

A nameless thief is struck with betrayal and tribulations that bring him to his accidental death. But that wasn't the end of him, he came back to life with a new name and a ruthless goal.

In his groggy state, Zhang Xuan vaguely saw himself standing on top of a cloud. His surroundings were completely empty, and there was nothing to be seen.
The cloud wandered freely along with the wind, embarking on a journey with no start and no end.
When he took a closer look though, he realized that he was mistaken.
There was another silhouette standing on the cloud as well.
That silhouette was gazing upon on the humongous world beneath them, a world filled with countless gods and magnificent buildings.
However, it was also a completely still world. Nothing was moving or breathing at all. It felt like the entire world was holding its breath for something to arrive.
"Elder…"
Perplexed, Zhang Xuan walked over to the silhouette doubtfully.
Those at his cultivation realm would rarely dream. He himself had only dreamt once ever since transcending over to this world. So, he had a feeling that there was a deeper reason as to why he was seeing such a sight before his eyes.
The silhouette neither spoke nor looked at him. Instead, a voice echoed right within his head. "You didn't let me down. You were able to forge your own path forward with your own strength. Follow the path you have chosen for yourself, and you should be able to climb higher and higher. But you might need to hurry up a little. I can't hold on for too long. One more thing. Before the silhouette could finish speaking, Zhang Xuan's body suddenly surged forward, and the scenery around him vanished. His eyes opened, and he realized that he was back in his room.

Since that was the case, the silhouette was very likely the World's Teacher!
"He mentioned that he can't hold on for too long… Does that refer to his fight against the monarch of the Sky of Freedom?"
Shortly after he arrived in the Firmament, he had heard that the Heaven Subjugation Monarch and the monarch of the Sky of Freedom were going to have a final showdown. They were both top-notch experts of the Firmament, so the outcome was impossible for anyone to predict.

The golden page was a weapon that harnessed the power of the heavens. After entering the Firmament, the Library of Heaven's Path would have stolen a fragment of the powers from the heavens of the Firmament, thus significantly enhancing the might of the golden page.
With it, perhaps with the exception of God Monarchs, he should be able to deal with even God Kings and Conferred God Kings easily.
If he could just gather a bunch of them, he would pretty much be the most powerful cultivator in the Firmament aside from the God Monarchs.
With those thoughts in mind, Zhang Xuan tucked his pendant beneath his robe and stood up.
The earlier experience had made him realize that he was not strong enough to examine the origin of the crimson pendant yet, so he decided to postpone the matter.
He pushed the door to his courtyard open and walked into the courtyard, and it was only then that he realized that he had actually been unconscious for four hours. Sun Qiang had already finished his investigation and was waiting outside to report the matter.

Forty years prior, Nangong Ping's body and soul had been crushed by a single blow from the Heaven Subjugation Monarch, resulting in his premature demise. However, his descendants had used the Netherworld Pool to nourish his fragmented soul, and over the past few decades, he had managed to regain his consciousness. At this rate, it was only a matter of time before he made a comeback.
Furthermore, there were two other God Kings to hold the fort for the Nangong Clan, so their position remained unwavering.
"As for the matter regarding Young Master Lu Chong, as this issue directly concerns Demon Monarch Qiankun, I wasn't able to gather any news at the moment… However, I did manage to figure out where Demon Monarch Qiankun lives. He resides in the floating Qiankun Palace that is located right above the center of Royal City!" Sun Qiang said. "I think that it's highly likely that he will have taken Young Master Lu Chong there if he intends to personally groom him."
Zhang Xuan nodded in agreement.
His students had been practicing the simplified Heaven's Path Divine Art right from the start, and that had allowed them to build up a strong foundation. Furthermore, they had a deep comprehension of battle techniques, which granted them superior fighting prowess over their counterparts in the Firmament.
It was only natural for them to catch the eye of God Monarch experts.
Given that Demon Monarch Qiankun had left those words personally on the Celestial Mountain, it was unlikely for him to renege on his words and mistreat Lu Chong.
So, he did not think that Lu Chong was in danger at the moment.
Nevertheless, as Lu Chong's teacher, he still could not help but be worried, so he wanted to know how Lu Chong was faring at the moment. After all, he did not know the God Monarchs personally, so he had no way of gauging their characters.
If his students were really suffering under the God Monarchs, he would have to find a way to save them.
"Is Qi Ling-er back yet?"
