Synopsis

I've read this novel until the end although i skip some chapters and this novel is a true definition of crap. Well, i should not say this but after reading this novel, my view of the world turned upside down (in negative way). The characters of this novel is full venomous people. Almost all the female characters are bitches while the males are jerk. Their train of though are not logical and too wishy washy. Start from ML, his parents and supporting characters. This novel depicts a situation in which blood relationship doesn't mean much compared to personal ambition. I believe that a good novel does not need such complicated and dramatic story but this novel does and it reduces the value of this novel's story. Despite the good writing, the plot of this novel was too dramatic. Moreover, the story was repetitive to the point it was too boring to read. If you are a masochist, you can read this novel. Tbh, i force myself to read the novel till the end despite the fact that i really loath the story progression. I finished this novel only for the sake of review but still, i hope i would never read this novel. ML in this novel is truly a jerk, the most jerk among jerks from novels that i've ever read. Well, i thought ML from bumpy road was a true and absolute jerk but compared to the ML of this novel, he was just a 'common' jerk. I can say that he's the epitome of inhuman being after what he had done to the FL. The FL will faceslap the ML around chapter 540 when they fought for custody of the child because ML found the existence of the child while he was diagnosed infertile. The FL will still end up with ML. Tbh, i do not know what to feel. Usually, i feel happy when FL and ML end up being together but this novel doesn't bring me such satisfaction. The only thing that i appreciate from the writer is her writing style. Aside that, there's no other.

Are chinese women this masochistic? If you're raped and violated, and treated less than an animal, You still forgiving rapist. It's because you don't love yourself and is lesser than a mentally retarded dog. This novel is disgusting and mental retarded novel with masochistic women who enjoying violated or being treated as trash. I hope this kind of novel get banned. Seriously what's wrong of chinese author writing such a disgusting story, making mc forgiving rapist and abused, douchbag husband, and still love him despite him abused her physically and emotionally. I lost my respect for chinese author. Now I see them as mental retarded or garbage.
I can only say that please stop adding these novels in " romantic " category, I just dont understand why even translator chose this novel, no offence maybe some readers have heavy taste. But a least add them in a different category maybe "horror" This is my sincere opinion cauz I love reading webonel romance novels and I just dont want to stain the word romantic because of theses book!! SOORY for any offence, just my personal thoughts.
With the preview alone, one can conclude that the FL suffered so much in the hands of the ML before he came to realize she was the girl he adored before.. I think Iโll end up hating the ML if Iโll read this.. I really wanted to read a novel with male leads like Mo Ting and Lu Tingxiao who never in any way maltreated their woman but they doted on them as their most precious.. I hope translators will find a novel like those ๐

Dont mind my rant, just have to get this off my chest....Everyone read the synopsis, everyone knew what the story was going to be about, and everyone still voted for this. If you cant handle dog blood tragedies, please dont bother reading them and complaining afterwards because you expected something different. There's a niche in the light novel world for rich, abusive, a$$holes, excuse me ML's, and people love beating this dead horse. (Sorry for the apology, horse/animal lovers). Rant end, thank you. Personally I read the spoilers and it doesnt look like he's going to redeem himself very quickly so I'm going to put this on the back burner. I'll probably come back to visit this story when I feel like i want a good cry.
I donโt understand why these types of stories are added to the romantic category. This story is about the FL basically being abused, and raped by the **** ML. So unless you like reading about the FL being abused and raped, I donโt recommend.
If you're not masochistic and don't like angst, then please don't read this. Coz its loaded. Among all the trashy Male Leads I've read about, this guy definitely takes first place. He's ruthless and dumb enough to fall in love with the wrong person. He tortures her for a really long time (rape, humiliation, actual physical assault, and some more) and then when he FINALLY realizes he likes her, he decides to tie her down to him in the most cruel way (the infamous court scene)... there's not a single likable character in this novel... the main character who's biggest weakness, her love for the Male lead, destroys her. She's too soft. The heartless Male lead. The downright insane mother who prefers a step daughter over her own flesh and blood (seriously, li weiyang would've killed to have her as a step mother). And the step father who's extremely selfish and allows an innocent life to be destroyed just to pacify his own daughter. And of course the step sister who's immediately in 2nd place, after mother and Male lead, in the list of most disgusting and vile characters who is selfish and vain to the point that in her opinion only her life matters, and someone like her step sister doesn't deserve to have even a second of happiness. I haven't actually read the novel, but reading the first few chapters and the spoilers for the book, has given me a good idea of what the story is like.
For any masochist who wants to read this, I only have a couple of things to tell. spoiler alert Look, summarizing all the spoiler I saw on the Internet. The whole story, from beginning to end, is about the misfortunes of MC and as nothing in his disgusting life goes well. raped, prostituted, abused, abused, etc. etc. unlike other novels, such as The Bumpy Road of Marriage: Divorce Now, Daddy. They have a hard start, with an ML that mistreats his wife, but then everything gets better, with the MC recovering and progressing, nothing like that happens here. The whole reading is just a face of despair where each character competes for who abuses more than the MC, and how submissive the MC can become. AND TO REMAT. Not only is the MC abused and abused throughout the novel, but even his daughter, (had a daughter), is abused and abused as well. They even force her to donate her kidney to the stepsister of MC (the one who died, but it was a lie) that is. . . . . Is there anything good in this novel? DO NOT. If you like a reading where all there is is constant abuse of a poor submissive woman, this is your novel. Finally, I believe that the MC at one time prostituted himself in a bar to get money for the operation of his sick daughter. ML discovers her and humiliates her for that, until she tries to take custody of her daughter. . . . anything else? The latter is to show you that everything in this novel just tries to see how much a person can suffer, it is not about anything else.

This is my very first time to loath someone's work. Tbh, i don't always prefer a situation in which the FL end up with the ML. For this novel, in instance, i hope the FL end up with someone else aside ML. The ML is the most jerk ML i've ever depict in all novels that i've read. Well, because of this kind of novel, i subconsciously develop antipathy towards chinese translated novel.
Why even write something like this???????............. If someone ven enjoyes this then they are rotten... I don't even know why the translator picked this one from many others, even those other cliches are way better...
Have you ever wondered what happens when an Author hates his protagonist ? Or have every wondered how much abuse a female MC in a CEO novel can take ? Or did you want to read about devils in Human skin ? Then this novel is perfect for you. I dont think the training punching bags undergo the amount of abuse the FL in this novel does. I dont know anything about the author other than the fact he/she hates his/her FL to the core. The translation quality is good, pretty sure there will be stable updates too but the story characters and world isnt my cup of tea ...

If anyone likes this kind of book, they have a major problem with their brain. This book is pure garbage. The FL is stupid as hell! Like, the FL is stupid enough to hope that the lame excuse of a ML will love her! I'm seriously worried about the kind of books popping up in webnovel these days. So many books, just so damn many have this same stupid plot: FL loves ML, ML ill-treats her BUT the FL is in the "So-Called" True Love with the ML(who treats her worse than anyone ever could), after some really "Heart Changing Realisation" that he loves her, he tells her that he loves her and the FL understands his super LAME reasons and actually FORGIVES him, after all he did to her. The FL's in these books literally have no backbone, no worthwhile character qualities, and think that being fragile and weak is a good idea. They will rather wait for the abuser to come to love them than actually do something for themselves. Truly, this book belongs to the middle ages, when this kind of woman was very much desired, not in the 21st century. Now, you have to be your own person, stand up for yourself and not be a "dasmel in distress".
All i can say is.. The story is full of hate.. A wealthy Tycoon, is a dumb. Why on earth tells this man smart? When he himswlf could not even investigate what really had happened and not only jump into conclusion. Very fictional. Beyond the idea of reallity. How come he is a top businessman. When all he could do is punish without any fair judgement? Hah! Such a dumb man. A stupid dumb man. Also this woman who thinks she can handle all things in crying. She is stupid enough for not telling that husband of hers about whats the real story behind the necklace.. So all of them can have their peace of mind.
I just read spoilers about the novel and itโs just so f*cked up ! Since I voted for it Iโm planning on reading it but I sure as hell am NOT gonna read it before itโs completed...so does anyone know at which chapter it ends ? I donโt want to read about an abusive ML right away...๐ถ
I read the first 60+ chapters and read some spoilers and skipped ahead to somewhere around chapter 260+ and continued to read the rest from there. This novel is pretty crazy. I skipped the truly heartbreaking parts in their first marriage but they went through a WHOLE LOT of other stuff after that that you just end up sighing and shrugging at the fact that they ended up together at the end. By that point, you canโt really blame her. Only the person who was wronged gets to decide whether the other people has repented enough to earn their forgiveness. Different people decide differently. And it was several years before she actually decided to get back together with him. And for them to get back together, itโs basically because they both had no intention of marrying anyone else and they canโt exactly cut each other out of each otherโs lives due to their daughter needing both of themโand the both of them truly love and cherish their daughter. They were both getting older and older and it would have been quite lonely and painful for both of them if the FL were to live on while holding onto grudges. Their getting back together was the FL deciding to give him one final chance...and it paid off in the end. (The story also contrasts this with another coupleโs story which is similar to theirs, but in which the female was able to move on and get together with the second guy) The male lead is a total scumbag. In fact this story is full of scumbags. So full of scumbags that itโs sometimes quite tricky trying to decide which one is the worst. Itโs just that in life, some scumbags can change for the better for the right people. Donโt get me wrongโML is still mercilessly cruel to his enemies (unless the FL or their daughter tells him to do otherwise), but heโs not entirely, unreasonably bad. The real problem is with the authorโsโas well as that of other authors with similar storiesโlack of regard for how truly tragic and traumatizing rape can be for people as well as how in these stories, the female characters are always the ones who truly lead tragic lives compared to how the other male characters are treated. The female antagonists get tortured or get their lives ruined due to the bad things theyโve done, but there were also a lot of male characters who did horrible things to other people, but you donโt really see them getting their just desserts. That said, there is a certain cleverness in the way that the author created certain antagonists. Of course, there are still those who are villainous in a cliched way, but there are those that leave you with a foreboding dread for how these characters will turn out later on. There are also some antagonists who also turn out to be less antagonistic than some others and were able to move on with their own lives at the very end. There are some unbelievable plots (of course), but they do keep the story interesting. I think it was somewhat rushed near the ending with the years quickly going by, but at least it has a happy ending.

Its the same storyline where ML forced himself on the FL despite not being in love with her and later in life realises that she was the same little girl whom he had adored in the past but has mistaken her real identity due to the fact that the jade amulet gifted by him had been snatched away from her. If only the FL had been given the slightest opportunity to clarify things instead of being condemned outright for all the uncalled for offences alleged against her things wouldn't have turned out this way...
