Synopsis

Reborn in the Naruto world, Kaito becomes a ninja of the Uchiha clan. The night of extermination is almost upon Uchiha Kaito. And he does not even have a golden finger or system! "How am I supposed to protect my Uchiha relatives and clansmen?' At the critical moment, the system finally awakened! “It has been detected that the host kekkei genkai has reached a bottleneck!” “It is detected that the host’s Jonin-level chakra has reached a bottleneck, and it has been upgraded to the Kage rank!” “It is detected that the host’s Fire Style · Fire Ball Technique (B) has reached a bottleneck and has advanced to Fire Style · Great Fireball Technique (A)!”(PS: I read this book from an author on Webnovel who had just copied from another site or just done a poorly written MTL. So upon seeing this book's potential, I decided to pick it up as a translator and do this book justice.)

I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem within the vast sea of Naruto fanfiction, and I couldn't be more thrilled to share my thoughts on this captivating novel, "Rising Shadows: Uchiha wrath." Authored by a talented wordsmith who took it upon themselves to bring justice to a poorly translated original, this story unfolds with a promise of excitement, character development, and a unique twist on the familiar Naruto universe. The narrative kicks off with an intense sense of urgency as the protagonist, Uchiha Kaito, finds himself on the brink of the dreaded Uchiha clan extermination. What sets this tale apart is Kaito's lack of a "golden finger" or a system – a refreshing departure from the usual tropes seen in this genre. Readers are immediately drawn into the dilemma of a Uchiha striving to protect his kin without the crutch of an overpowered system. However, just as the stakes reach a critical point, the narrative takes an unexpected turn as Kaito's dormant system finally awakens. The host kekkei genkai, his chakra levels, and even his jutsu capabilities are upgraded, adding a layer of excitement and unpredictability to the story. The author skillfully weaves these upgrades into the plot, turning potential clichés into engaging plot points that keep readers eagerly turning the pages. One of the standout features of this novel is the meticulous attention to detail in character development. Kaito's journey from a vulnerable Uchiha on the verge of extinction to a formidable ninja of the highest order is a testament to the author's storytelling prowess. The emotions, struggles, and growth of the characters are palpable, making it easy for readers to invest in their fates. Furthermore, the author's decision to step in as a translator and elevate the quality of the writing deserves commendation. By recognizing the potential of the story and taking the initiative to provide a more polished version, they have not only done justice to the original work but also created an immersive experience for readers.

Translation is a lot better then the other version, but there are still too many mistakes and it really breaks the flow of the story. A lot of seemingly missing or incorrect words and the grammar is also not great.

The story is good. The other version is called destroy konoha at the start. I think that one has a slightly better translation. Though it has more Chinese aspects to it and some words are wrong, the grammar and chapter length are better. But as far as screening out cultural influences, this version is better. I would give both about the same rating in the end.
