Synopsis

Xinyu has lived all her seventy years of life secluded in the Mortal Realm. Every day followed the same routine: wake up to Aunt Yanfei's scolding, eat breakfast with Aunt Yanfei and Old Deng, take an afternoon nap, lessons with Old Deng, eat dinner with Aunt Yanfei and Old Deng, and sleep. Never once did she think her peaceful life would be interrupted. As long as she did not meddle in other people's affairs, she would be fine, right?
Wrong! Fate has never been kind. Would he let a child of the Moon and Earth live an uneventful life? Never!
Born from the fruition of forbidden love, Xinyu has been destined to shake the foundations of the Five Realms. No one knows if she would be the one to bring upon a new era of peace or a period of chaos to the world. Only Fate can tell. Many would even suggest that she fight to control her own destiny.

Holy moly!!!!!! Amazing first chapter!!!!!!!! Really intriguing and really beautifully written!M!!!!!!!! Their child will create history!!! Ur writing style is really so good though.....
Updates I don’t have a problem with the update speed. Writing I had to focus to find errors, and even then, there were barely any grammatical errors. Your writing is superb with enough descriptions and dialogues to visualize what was happening between the characters and surroundings. Smooth transitions and story-telling. I wish the chapters are a big longer though. Characters As of writing this review, there are only 16 chapters. There’s not much to the character development yet and new characters are still being introduced. At the moment, I really like the MC’s carefree personality and her love for meat lol. I have a feeling, since it’s starting off so happily, it might be heading down an emotionally taxing path though. Guess we better enjoy the lighthearted comedy for now before chaos ensues. I’m also looking forward to the supporting romances (Mudan and Jiafeng?). And I wonder if Zhaoli is the male lead? It’s probably too early to tell though. However, the characters are progressing nicely and I look forward to their growth. World & Story I’ve no issues with the current pacing of the story and world design, especially since the chapters are rather short and it takes time to build worlds and flush out characters. I think the current pacing of the story is perfect. Even though the basic premise of this story is similar to other xianxia novels I’ve read before (by the way, I love xianxia and have read a ton), I still really like it and look forward to see what different things the author will do to make the story unique. Overall, the story is promising. I’ve added it to my library and will be waiting for further updates!

I’m not an expert but it’s a great story. It’s easy to read. A great story for anyone who loves that Eastern/Heavenly Realms/Gods/Immortals and cultivation Genre. Female MC sounds like she’ll be a strong interesting character, who won’t spend her time crying about shiet for ten chapters. The story moves along. I don’t feel like I’m just reading pages of info dump. Besides chapter two backstory and info weave into the scenes pretty well. Keep up the good work. : )

This reminds me of an actual book than a book on WN. The writing is that good. Story Development: The development isn't too fast or too slow either. The pacing is very good and everything's explained at a steady pace but doesn't leave you feeling bored. Character Design: The authors elegant style of writing helps form a beautiful picture of the characters. I'm very interested to see how the author will focus on characters thoughts and feelings for further development. The relationships in this story feel real, like I said it feels like I'm reading an actual novel. There's no cliche relationships, everything is just so natural. World Background: I'm impressed, most writers such as myself tend to neglect word background due to being busy with other areas like character design and story development. But the author does this well and there's no confusion anywhere. overall: a well balanced story that I'm certainly keeping on my library. Can't wait to read more.

This is a novel that I can easily see as something that I would have found in my grandfather's bookshelf as a child. The writing is eloquently done, with a certain charm that plays to a more whimsical side of fantasy. Within the genre, I tend to pick up books that are more 'gritty,' which is something I have chosen to do with my own book as well. Surprisingly, I fell in love with this book despite it being the total opposite of what I usually love. In my opinion, it is a few revisions and edits away from being something akin to Laini Taylor's Strange the Dreamer. Applause to this! 👏 Writing quality is quite superb. (Not to deep, means it easy to understand.) The plot is intriguing. It hooked me up. The characters were well introduced. Xinyu's character in specific. The world was well displayed. (A little cloudy, cause of few chapters only) but it will be cleared as the story goes on for sure. Too eloquent. Seriously, the first chapter/prologue was a bit overwhelming. You did not only introduce most of the world's background but you have also made me add this to my library. Now, I am embarrassed to review this as your knowledge far outstrips mine. Well except for a miniscule amount of inaccurate wordings with the character's dialogues. The grammar is absolutely perfect.
The language the author uses is interesting but not perfect, but this story had that certain spark. The people and their relationships feel authentic. I find I really care about what happens next.
The first chapter is quite mythical with the gods, spirits and forbidden romance. The elegance of the story reminded me Basho haiku poems about symbolic season changes. It has a historical fantasy/Eastern fantasy vibe that's beautiful and enchanting. Each word is akin to brush strokes forming a painting. Remaining chapters are more down to Earth, and necessary considering the MC's consequence. The world building is cleverly written, avoiding the textbook info-dump. This story has sound grammar, easy to read, a gripping sense of adventure and compelling MC thus far. Readers do like daily, consistent updates. So, maybe more will come when they see more chapters and regular commitment. Either way, keep up the great work Author-san!
Hello, guys! This is the author of "Child of the Moon and Earth." I'm gonna be shamelessly rating my own work as 5 stars, lol. Don't mind me. Anyways, I hope everyone will enjoy my novel as much as I enjoy writing it. I am currently trying out a new writing style, one similar to Chinese webnovels. It may not be perfect and won't suit everyone's taste, so I will apologize in advance. This novel will be somewhat slow-paced. It won't be as fast-paced as most of the webnovels I've read. I want to slowly build up the world as well as my characters so that they won't be static characters; I love character development. Please don't drop it if you think its starting out too slow! It's gonna get better, I promise! I'm always rereading and editing my old chapters, making minor adjustments here and there. If there is any big change that affects the plot, I will make sure to leave it in the Author's Thoughts section. I am open to any feedback and criticism if it will help improve my story. The novel has elements of ancient Chinese mythology for example moon keeper is Yue Lao or directly translated old man under the moon which will catch the attention of some readers, the Chinese myth element about the origin of the MC is explained perfectly as it did not drags on too long. Excellent pacing from the author. But the novel has a feeling that it is translated from Chinese, and that feeling might really hurt the novel in some cases. And the motivation of the MC is not clear at all. Is the novel about romance as stated in the synopsis or a xianxia novel? It is not a bad novel, far from it actually but there are many area where the novel can improve but that just mean the novel has potential. Nice job, work hard. :D
