Synopsis
Warring States Period is chaotic and accustomed to war. The shinobi are expendable mercenaries utilized by the various powers to compete for land and wealth. In order to protect themselves, these shinobi developed clans. Amongst those clan's are the most prominent-- Senju and Uchiha. Pit against each other, these two clan's deep seeded hatred was known to all.

This is my first attempt at writing a fanfiction, please be gentle! I am not a native japanese speaker but I'll try my best when it comes to deconstructing the culture based on the anime/manga of Naruto and historical records of the Sengoku period.

Well, the fact that the author is making a new and interesting magekyo sharingan ability and not another Kamui or Amaterasu is enough to get my attention. And you don't have to worry about the story development, just be patient.
If you drop this, I will come to your house, tie you up, and force you to read the Bible in Japanese backwards.
The Warring States Period is when Zetsu burned down all history books, killed all sages and long lived individuals, one of those individuals to take note of is the previous Toad sage summoner and Snake sage summoner, in theory, before Madara and Hachirama they were the strongest individuals on the planet. Warring States is also an important period of time because its the era that almost all religions died out, very few monks and priests survived this period, its almost like Zetsu killed everyone that was not strict necessary, zetsu allowed the priests related to sealing demons, dealing with the shinigami and unrelated to the Sage of Six Paths, Ninshu, the main religion on the Elemental Nations died out during the Warring States in less that a century. During this period of time most clans constantly migrated, clans that originated on the So no Kuni(land of ancestors) for example, they spread to many different places on the world, some clans that originated from the land of ancestors and what they did during the Warring States Period: - Uchiha (Nomad clan that lived on practically all nations) - Senju (Nomad clan that lived on practically all nations) - Uzumaki (Isolated in an island on the middle of the Sea) - Kaguya (went to the land of Water) - Hyuga (only came to the land of fire after the Leaf was founded) - Otsusuki (the ones on the Moon) So far, the author did a good job with the story, but I hope more attention to the full extension of the end of almost all religions and destruction of thousands of years of history, everything Zetsu did on the shadows will get more attention.
Whule treading through the endless abyss of mediocre self-insert stories that is the Naruto tag, there lies a lone flash of light by the name of Pengincognito. This fanfic, like a village in the desert, reminds me of why I even bother with fanfics. Set in the distant past of Naruto and having "Reborn" in the title, you'd be justified in assuming this is another power fantasy self insert where the main character, little more than a cardboard cutout, dominates the world. Pengincognito, however, takes these expectations and flips them over their head! The protagonist is, in fact, a fully fleshed out character with a believable personality, goals, likes and dislikes. This is in no shortage due to the author's diligence in making the character be part of the world, letting us see how their surroundings influence them. The writing is also phenomenal, with little to no major grammatical errors, pointless walls of text or cringewprthy dialogue. Every interaction flows smoothly and the little exhibition there is manages to convey everything in a concise manner. More than anything, however, I must praise the author's creativity! The world of Naruto offers so many possibilities for exciting use of it's power system yet so many feel content with copying existing abilities. On this front, the author manages to think up exciting and diverse skills that play into the characters' past, mentality and nature. Despite all I've said, though, there is one significant flaw I've had with the story: it underutilises the setting. While I understand the choice to be Uchiha centric for most of the beginning, it comes as the cost of barely touching on the vast and interesting time frame that is the Warring states! All that said, recent chapters have been alleviating this issue by exploring distant parts of the setting. tl;dr - Amazing story with living, complex characters, good writing and a whole lot of creativity!
Really good story. Nice to see a take on the warring states period. I can't wait to see where this story will go.
Love the work. Hope the author will continuous the update. The MC is well design as the she continuous the grow. Also, the introduction of clan of in the hokage world is well design,
I love this book and I love Natsume i can wait for her relationship with Madara to start but i saw that you stopped uploading is the series on hiatos or you won't continue if so please continue I love this book and I can't wait for more!
So... Reincarnation? Where is it? I'm going to delete this review after someone answers... As of chapter 5 mc is just a child? If she is not a reincarnated person, I don't want to read this, it's too boring otherwise.

Unique Story,weak to strong you could say good female protagonist with potential. i like it madara im excited to see madara as a adult and izuna
this is an amazing naruto fanfiction, the mc plans ahead and smart, the world building is also very good and shows the whole world, there is only one question: is the author planning romance, and if so, a man or a woman? (I only read yuri or no romance so if there is a male lead I will be sad)
It seems promising so I'm leaving here a good review, if it end up being bad ill delete this and write a bad one explaining why.
This story is a good read and makes good use of the chakra system of Naruto. Seeing it from the Warring States Era is also a nice change that the author has done well.

I’m in love with this fic. It’s a strong female protagonist with the potential to be one of the big hitters in the Naruto series, doing her best and growing in the warring period. The sharigan abilites are also unique and not just a copy paste of already existing abilities unlike 99.99999% of other fanfics, along with an additional kekkei genkai we are still figuring out. It feels like it’s own story and not just a rush to get to canon, which I hope it gets too some day. Definitely I would say one of my top fav naruto fics of all time after over a decade of reading the same stuff over and over again.
