The reality that every good novel will come to an end at some point is something I also want to forget, but two of my favourite stories on this app have less than 500 chapters and it still did not feel short in any way. Yes, I would have loved to read more of them, but having a perpetually ongoing story just does not work. Keep up your awesome writing! (And if you ever feel like there was more to tell in the ANW universe writing connected Side Stories or some form of Prequel/Sequel is always an option and tends to be more exciting)
I think the 10 kilometers are also the distance between the orcs and the town, so the given tine should also be their time untill arrival.
However, don't let the distance fool you. They were going to arrive in just ten minutes or less. The entire horde was sprinting at full speed for the town, which had also already sounded their alarms as the horde appeared on the horizon.

The equipment was so bad, but compared to the ones they can buy nowadays, it was still lacking. The formation runestone was even worse, although they still worked regularly.
