I have never fit in to this box that society wants me to. I am not the black girl with the largest breast or butt. I can not sing. I most certainly can't dance. I listen to K-pop. I HATE spicy food. It's hard to love yourself in a world that makes you hate yourself. Ry'nn has had that problem her whole life. She does not fit in with the "normal" black girls. She does not fit in with the whites who actually loves the same thing that she does. Adanni Kingsbury is a 21-year-old girl who's dream is to be an artist. She can admit that to everyone but who counts, her mother. Mainly because her mom believes art or music as a career is a waste of time. Could be because of her father, or her mom never trying to aim for her own dreams, she hoped one day she would get the courage to find out. Maybe the returning person back in town can inspire her, or maybe he'll just teach her that no one's opinion counts anyway including his own.
