Synopsis

Welcome to Second Life. In just a few moments, you will start your new life in Gaia, a place where history and fantasy mix, creating a fantastical new world.

Second Life is a VRMMORPG based on the world's geographic space, and human history, mythology, and literature. Using the mapping of the Earth globe, CyberTech created a virtual reality world called Gaia, where many real and fictional races and monsters live and interact with one another.

In this world where mythical and legendary beings live freely, humans can build a new life full of adventures and be capable to interact and know many facts from Earth's history that few people have knowledge about. Everything is there just waiting for players to unravel their mysteries.

Ye Yan just graduated from a famous university in China and doesn’t know what to do with his life. When a friend invited him to play Second Life and become a professional player, he accepted it as a signal and started his adventures in Gaia, while surpassing the limits of the human's mind on his path to glory.

This is how you do a system novel. Very enjoyable and the author does a great job setting up the world and the characters before simply throwing the protagonist into the gaming world. Excellent world building, the author paints a picture so vividly of a fictional society in the near future. The protagonist is also a well-rounded character one can feel sympathy for. One who has had a bit of a rough go, losing his parents and floating through life without any real purpose. I look forward to seeing how he handles the gaming world. The story is also very well written and flows nicely, making for an all round enjoyable reading experience. Great effort!

An enjoyable novel you got here. Writing quality. The narratives were clear and nice. Story development. The introduction of the Second life was in-depth and detailed. Along with the items and skills which explained well. Character design. The characters have their own distinct personalities that make them unique to each other. The world background is well crafted. Overall, this book is a great read and definitely going to stay in my collections. Great work author!

A new world and virtual reality! Seems like a great combo. Being a fan of videogames, I can easily say you've caught my attention. I liked the start of the story, and the writing style, and I will definitely check the rest of the story. Keep up!

My story is about a VRMMORPG with some common traits, but it also has its own characteristics. Because of this, I thought it necessary to describe some of the game mechanics for the readers do not to feel lost. As a gamer myself, I always have a difficult time understanding when a game novel showed numbers that don't make sense so I may have described a little too much about its details. And for me don't bore people to death, I began revising the first few chapters, trying to increase the writing quality and work more on the characters.

Just caught up to the latest chapter. Can't wait for more. Writing Quality: Some grammar stuff. You can understand what is being said. Nothing too jarring, just needs a couple of passes for refinement/tidying up. Updates: Just caught up, so don't know the schedule. But the author seems to keep the readers in the know with Author's notes. Story Development: Standard gaming stuff. New game comes out, MC and friends start playing, dungeons/quests, meet new friends, repeat, etc. Mostly in-game progress, not much IRL progress except for mandatory logouts/rests. Characters: MC seems good. Has some quirks that his friends understand/playfully use against him. He has a history that I would like to know more of. Roommates need more fleshing out. But that maybe due to the MC not wanting to pry into his friends' personal lives. New set of guildmates have been introduces, will see how they mesh with everyone else. World Background: Standard VRMMORPG. Hyper-Intelligent Learning AI. NPCs that look/act real. Different areas/severs for every nation.

Way too slow start, and so much information that is un-needed or uninteresting . You have to slog through 5 chapters to start the story, and by then you're already sick of the story.

Nice novel. Nice writing quality and story development. Character design needs a bit more work. We need to know a bit more about the other characters AKA his roommates. World Background is overused so I gave you a 3. Very nice novel though. You don't come across this types of novel very often.

A virtual reality novel like this is nicely written, as the characters is quite lively, bringing life to this book. And I think with a little more polishing, this can become quite popular ! Here are some issues I want to point out however: 1. Grammar: Among some of the grammatical errors were misplaced commas, which created run-on sentences; incorrect verb tenses, which should be past tense due to the way you write most of the verbs, and a few misspellings. Additionally, while correct, I found some sections of the sentence to be redundant ( example from chapter 2– “His friend’s reaction was so strange that he even thought about taking him to a detoxification clinic for help because that reaction was too abnormal.” [ ‘so strange’ & ‘too abnormal’ mean the same thing in this sentence, resulting in redundancy. So I would recommend taking out one or the other ] ) Reason why I am saying this is because readers should have a good, first impression of your book. Hopefully my comments may assist you in your journey ! 2. Info dump: While I personally don’t mind, I do appreciate when writers can spread out information evenly in the chapter without massive info being placed out in front of me. It makes it easier to digest. While info about the game is perfectly fine, I believe the part about the quartet’s appearances could be segmented to when they appear in the story, so that I don’t have to go back to imagine how they look like. Overall, I think this has potential, but it only depends on you, Author. So keep up the good work !

It's a good story so far. The story development is interesting, as is the character design and world background. The main character has a good head on his shoulders, and seems to have real life abilities that he can transfer into the game. Good job.
