****
This book is an epic fantasy with dark undertones, one might call it grimdark but it’s not without humor.

I have seen complaints about the middle part of the novel, namely around chapter 60-70 some have said that it get too slow and I admit I made pacing mistakes there but the novel gets better right after and I believe some of the best content I wrote happens after that part so please make it through to join me and the rest of the readers on my journey.

WARNING: I don’t write brain-dead characters. Romance and harem, which are not the focus of the story will take time.

This novel was inspired by Soulsborne, all of it.

This is the author review! First of all a thank you to all the readers who have given my novel a chance. This is not my first novel technically, but well the first one ended with me dropping it because I was a dumb*ss who didn’t prepare enough, not this time. I have written a comprehensive outline of the entire novel, though I still have to work out some of the details, I know where this story is going and how it will end. My updates have been stable so far and I will definitely complete this novel, my English is very good too, so have some confidence in me. There are some typos here and there so if you find any tell me so I can fix it. The story is an epic fantasy, personally I am not afraid of clichés but I also have my own takes and storytelling techniques. Now, about Aldrich (the main character) I just want to remind all the readers that he is not a transmigrator or a reincarnated individual, he is not from Earth nor does he have any relation to it, he is just a normal fifteen year old. Personally I think that he is very intelligent for his age but he is limited by his experiences which you will all go through together with him. You will see him at his best and his worst. He is also impatient and has a bad temper these are all things that he will have to fix the hard way. And it will take some time for him to awaken his crest so be patient, I promise the wait will be worth it. The combat at this point in the story is extremely hard and down to earth, the main character has to rely on his wits and the resources available to him right now to survive and grind. This is because I want to point out the difference between normal humans and Crestmasters in terms of pure power. About the system, this is not a system novel, the interface that Aldrich uses is a result of his own ability, it doesn’t give him any quests or missions so please don’t misunderstand. Next about the slice-of-life parts of the novel, this is how I write, I hope that you can immerse yourself in the world and the story as much as possible. Also there are many hints to future plotlines, as seemingly normal everyday interaction may not be that simple. Also some readers have been concerned about the revenge aspect of the story, so I will address it here, I do think that your concern over revenge is definitely valid and it is something that I gave a lot of thought before I even started writing the story. As far as I planned for Aldrich revenge is very important but it’s not everything, his first priority is actually finding help for Isger and being true to his promise to Krynt and Crazmer the prisoner that gave him the ring. Not to mention his own dream of making it big in life. So in a way I see where you are coming from but don’t worry too much Aldrich has many things to do. But of course revenge is still a central plot point of the story so don’t expect Aldrich to simply forget about it or anything. Finally, I hope you guys can enjoy your time reading this novel, and be sure to tell me about it! Also try to support the book in any way you can, I appreciate anything even if it’s just power stones. Have a good one!

After binge-reading 91 chapters of this novel, the time has come to write a review! Ladies and gentlemen, fellow readers, I am happy to say that this novel falls into the category of WN's rarest. The gem among the rubble. Of course, not without reason. Let's start with the surface, technical details - writing and such. The quality is excellent. Occasional typos and sporadic erroneous sentences do not distract you from enjoying the read (after all, to err is human). The rich vocabulary is a great plus and, more importantly, balanced. By balanced, I mean there are no overly pretentious posh words that try hard to present the story "professional," nor are there repetitive bland words that make novels incredibly dull. It is an excellent read for any reader with English levels of B1 and above. Updates - I would not know yet; I have only been reading it for the past two days. Now let's move to the internal structure. My oh my, this is beautiful. The start is exciting and makes you curious — a decent introduction to the world. Clear enough to give you some ideas but vague enough to leave you with the sweet feeling of wanting more. As the story goes on, so does the world grow; at its own pace. Ninety chapters in, one can feel how deep and rich it is with layers. MC is a jolly lad. Fifteen years old farmer boy. At the start, this is his whole definition of a personality - farmer boy — naive, uneducated, hot-headed, and rash. However, his growth is apparent. As you read more and more, you travel and experience everything with this teen — both success and failure. What stands out is that you understand the reason behind his actions to whatever result they may lead. Unless you are a reader who loves to judge every step with the superb and handy skill of "hindsight." Of course, for absolute beings like you, any character is imperfect and flawed so long as they are not omniscient, omnipotent, and eternal. Going back, MC is well designed, and his thinking/actions suit his age. Secondary characters are well done, each with a unique personality giving you some sense of their unwritten personal backgrounds. The prologue is splendid. It sets MC's reason, aims, and goals perfectly. It is only a matter of time until we see if they were the ultimate goals or just a step in his life. His ambitions and drive all he is clear to us, and it is fantastic to see how these characteristics change due to various circumstances. One of my favorite things about this work is attention to detail. Devil is in the details. The fighting scenes are excellent and descriptive. Not overly simplified and glorified like in movies or other novels here. Realism is well presented. The portrayal of necessity and the crucial role of feet, knees, and other factors during combat are sublime. It shows that fighting is not about fatal strikes but tackling, disarming, and incapacitating. Shortly, not prolonged and pretty performances. On the contrary, short and cumbersome exchange of blows and techniques. In conclusion - terrific. I suggest it to all readers of the fantasy genre. This novel is for you, those who got tired of WN's kajillions of mirrored, bland, and incredibly cliche stories without creativity. Chapters are worth their coins here. Thank you, author, for your excellent work.

I don’t use WN much because I’m bored with most works on here but I have to admit this book was surprisingly good. The writing style feels like it doesn’t belong here at all and it makes it difficult to stop reading, though there are some typos and spelling mistakes here and there. The prologue is especially great it clearly sets the tone of the novel and fleshs out the main character, but I do think that it was a little too long which might turn off some readers. Please read through its worth it! The plot and the world are extremely rich and clearly well thought out. After the prologue the story only gets more interesting. I will say if you are a reader that only wants action for actions sake you will not get that here. the action happens only after proper set-up and thats what makes it awesome. Honestly I felt like I was a part of this village. If you are looking for a special read then pick this up.

I have read all the unlocked chapters. It's a good read. I didn't think the MC was a moron. I didn't wonder if the author misloaded a chapter. There was no over the top clichéd cringe factor. The story moves at nice pace and the characters are better than ALOT From other novels on this site. I would recommend giving it a read.

The title of the novel lacks imagination There's also a few grammatical errors That's where the weaknesses of this story ends. The world is oh so refreshingly unique. The story takes it's time instead of jumping into paragraphs upon paragraphs of details. The MC is an actual character instead of a puppet that the author uses as a self insert. The mystery is abundant and the author is in no rush to spill the beans. I'll be honest here, the power system of the MC is generic to an extent. But the fact that it operates in an unpredictable world that not everything is known about makes up for it. The attention to detail in the story telling is just right. Read it, read it now!!!!!!!!!

This is a good book and if you haven't read it then you are missing out. It has a great storyline, there are very few spelling/grammar mistakes, and the world building in this story is very well thought out and detailed.

I really enjoy the world-building in this story and the plot is really rich and different from what I have seen on WN. It seems the author has really thought out characters/lore/world, which makes readers feel like they are going through the journey with the ML. But, there are also some mysteries and I really like this type of storytelling. Good use of language, albeit some tiny errors like capitalization in some conversations, but apart from that, well written! Good job!

The pace felt a little slow for me. But then again, it does a good job introducing characters and events. Writing quality is really great and it was a smooth read.

The main character is pretty likeable, which is a good thing. Nowadays it's very rare that you find an MC that you actually like. The story starts with a bang. The author is really good at portraying the tense scenes and the emotions the characters are going through. The writing quality is pretty decent, the story flows naturally. I especially like the characters introduced by the author.
