Synopsis
The hearse with the weird odor slowed to a stop before the entrance. The sound of pebbles could be heard bouncing on the ceiling. There were footsteps coming from the corridor, and there seemed to be someone sawing next door. Like a lingering spirit, this translator is back to haunt more of your time on webnovel.com. While the book is categorized as a Horror title, it is actually more of a cross-over between horror and mystery. The premise is unique and it is definitely one of its kind despite the usage of well-worn trope like the system. Please give it a try even though if you're not a horror fan. I'm not one for horror stories but this is definitely worth it.

One-of-a-kind exceptional novel. Once you get past MC’s absurdity of relying on a quirky system and repeatedly courting death just to save his business and gather uncertain clues about his family, you realize that this novel is an amazing blend of mystery, horror and game elements. MC is an ******* detective, businessman and spirit master (person who can see ghosts) all rolled into one. So far, the cases were all intriguing and hair-raising (slightly predictable, but the author still managed it well). Definitely recommended.

Idk what possesed me to read this kind of horror novel. I mean, i get scared easily but for some reason i can't stop reading this. I like how the author describe each scenario in the haunted house, it's like im the one staying there...

I’m not writing another review for this novel because I believe I already did. First of all... LonelyTree is the best translator. He(she?) reads and likes all the recent comments in the recent novels. He/she doesn’t just read the top 3, he/she read ALL. Such dedication. I hope LonelyTree gets more recognized for his/her translated works(because ALL of them are in my library) and his communication with the readers. I heart this novel.... around other people who don’t look dangerous and not late at night like now. I hate reading this novel on a cliffhanger because it haunts me.
It's been a while since I've been spooked this much. This is definitely a great horror novel! While other horror stories tend to lose their scare factor after a few chapters, this one takes ahold of your interest and keeps you wrapped in that lingering sense of creepiness and fear. I stumbled upon this story at night and was rather chill about it at first. I mean, how scary can a webnovel be? Then I realized how foolish I was. Now, I can no longer sleep soundly. It's like I feel eyes staring at me as I slumber. If you are brave, give it a read as it is worth it. But please proceed with caution. 😉
i have read the raw until chapter 224 its first time i write review First, lets talk about MC MC is Fearless and strong He is seriously strong, he wandered in abandoned mental hospital and with sledgehammer in his right hand and cursed pig butcher knife in left hand he fight with 2 pscopath mental patient, while he is livestreaming. And he win (he also crushed two hands and two legs one of them with sledge hammer). he also fight with ghost and monster. He is smart the more storyline goes, the more he smart become. He become like detective He has strange point view Yeah, he call doll that wandered around his room at night is "little cutie" (wtf), well all "staff" in his haunted house is fear him. he also feel that all doll in his haunted house has soul in it and when he have contact with it, he can feel its emotion. he even intimidate few of them to become obidient. He has pet companion white stray cat, he named her white tiger she is so sensitive about negative power (psycopath,monster,soul,ghost,etc). The doll inside his room fear her *hint: she is also weakness of shadow mosnter/miror ghost* Story is lighter than story with same genre i have read, its really different than maoshan sect and guest in the ghost house. its more modern and he really must have preparation for his next nightmare mission. He is not cultivator He is not daoist He is not monk but He can fight ghost and moster

It was interesting. But it becomes repetitive with the mc coincidentally meeting a friendly ghost, kills a villain and expanding his shop to scare people. After the 9x times there is nothing In the mc life excepting getting more ghosts. He doesn't even have a full sleep in months. You will know almost nothing about the mc world. Everything introduced are either victims and the world mc live in looks like 90% ghosts looking for you and the 10% just don't give a damn. His city alone has so many deaths with serial killers everywhere. Who in the right mind would go to mc horror house when you see deaths everywhere everyday?

Such a masterpiece.... I will recommend this book to every novel aficionados cause this is really really good If you are into romance and cheesy genre then this might not be for you but this novel is love so you should give it a try cause I believe you’ll be hooked on this ❣️
Holy crap this is good, so good that it keeps the end of my hair stand up. The author really tries to draw you in, like you were actually inside the novel. The tingling sensation I have every night when I read this book is amazing, it is like you were actually watching it, it is so descriptive that in my imagination it's like a run through of everything coming in and out. The story starts of with him being alone and owning a haunted house when his parents disappeared, not really a spoiler when it's in the description. He suddenly realise that there was a black phone in the third floor of his haunted house. This black phone connected to his parents disappearence and also he can now do things to the haunted house like moving floors adding tools with the phone. He was also speculating how this works but was caught up when it gave him mission to leading his journey of finding his parents and building haunted house. It's so good I recommend ppl to read this because if you like thriller and horror and also read it at night, it gives you more tingling feeling in your body like there is someone with you😂
Ah, as the current number 1 ranked book on the Chinese website, this should be interesting. Of course, keep in mind that this is around Halloween too. I'm not worried about the quality of the translation or the stability of the updates. With such single-minded dedication and focus, and combined with the fact that Millman is editing this piece of work, we should be in for a fast and steady ride. As far as chapter 1 is concerned, the goals and motivations of the main character is clear early on. Though we don't know much about his character, we know that he sticks for those who are on his side, and that he's a sentimental person. He holds on to whatever remnants he has left of those dear to him, and tries his best to keep onto those memories. Little is known about this world yet, except that it's located in a place like modern-day earth. Cell phones exists. There's an app. Haunted houses, surveillance cameras, lightbulbs, and the likes. If it looks like Earth, smells of earth, and has an uncle who comes around trying to collect debts, it probably is on Earth. But... there's now a twist. The twist is this House of Horrors. Lets go into a little bit about the main character: Due to his parent's mobile Haunted House business, Chen Ge traveled quite a bit when he was young. When kids were playing with blocks, he had fake human heads. Doesn't that sound like a lovely childhood? Half a year ago, Chen Ge lost his parents. Now, I may have missed about how old he was, but I don't think it was mentioned. All we know is that he has gone to college, something logically-structured base, like Engineering and Toy Design. Like, he couldn't find them anymore—they mysteriously disappeared in the middle of an abandoned hospital. What were they doing out there? Why did they disappear? With nothing left behind except for a cellular phone, a doll, and their haunted house, Chen Ge came and took over the now-ownerless haunted house. Right as his business is about to go under, he discovers that he can view the 'house's status' and that the house can issue 'daily quests'. How's this story going to turn out? What kind of quests were issued to his parents and why would they disappear? Is this going to be a "cultivate your house" system? What kind of scary scenes are going to show up? Would those scenes end up being illusory? Or would they be actually enacted in real life with the "customers"? Beats me. I've only read chapter 1. Lets find out together.
