/ Book&Literature / HP: Life in Hogwarts ( SI OC)
Synopsis
You know the drill, a college student woke up as 11 year old Callum Haven, he founds out he is in Harry Potter universe. Read as he traverse through magical society as a muggleborn orphan.
This fanfic will be a realistic approach based on the seven books and not on other fanfics and fan theories.
MC won't just get lucky and have special encounters like some other fics. For example, realistically there is no chance for an orphan to get a special core for wand other than the three that Ollivander sells, so don't expect MC to get a Nundu whisker core or any other special encounter like that.
If that is not your cup of tea, you can still try to read it for some chapters and then decide to drop it if you don't like.
MC will become friends with Golden trio but he won't be a part of it. And helping them in events doesn't mean that he is part of their group.
Pairings have not been decided yet. Romance will happen after fifth year at least and it will take a long time for that. It's not a priority right now.
This is my first Fanfic, after reading uncountable number of them. I would appreciate some constructive criticism as english is not my first language, so language in the story will be simple for London in 90's.

One of the best Harry Potter fanfict on this site, very well written and I also really like the main character. Usually either they interfere too much or don't do anything at all; here, the way he does things is perfect, I really like it. One suggestion would be the grammar (easily fixable) and to leave the author notes at the end of the chapter; there is no need to explain your decisions in the middle of the chapter or why you changed some things. Putting them at end makes it so that the flow of the story and immersion doesn't get interrupted. Really liked it, waiting for more!
Really great start to this fic. Not many good HP fanfics on this platform. Couldn't even tell English isn't your first language. You've done well not falling into the more cliche tropes. Love that while sticking to canon, you have recognised that things will change due to his presence. How you manage the changes and flow of effects of MCs presence will be the difference between this being a good fic and a great fic. Keep up the good work.
I think this is very good and mc is in line with my taste, he is not naive, smart, not too obsessed with the main character and rushes to contact them. Anyway I recommend you guys To read this
For people annoyed by continuously reading the same type of Harry Potter fanfics, this may or may not be a breath of fresh air. It starts simple, the Author is someone with whom my thoughts about fanfiction match, like skipping the unnecessary stuff. Looks good, and has some potential as not many Harry Potter SIs are completely without a system and no special background, at least as of Chapter 4 : Sorting Ceremony. Keep up the good work Author.
To be honest, I am one of those people that romance can make a fic more immersive for me, when it is an Oc that is not reincarnated no matter the age of the partner he chooses, but being reincarnated and older, for mental health it is better to choose someone a little older, and I say all this because FLEUR FLEUR FLEUR FLEUR hahaha

I'm sorry I can't read your book anymore!?. I read translation with an assistant. now the site requires you to download the application but there is no translator I hope you post it on other sites
would be higher but the last chapter was posted a year ago and its not even close to being a finished novel... it says its not dropped but im pretty sure it is so if u dont wanna read a novel thats only 1/7ths finished i wouldnt bother

good, mc is smart and logical. Author stay true to the source material instead of other stupid author who giving mc Thestral wand, heir to merlin and finding millions in ROR etc... Hope author contine writing. He have a talent 90% other authors here on WN lack.
It's a quite good Harry Potter fanfiction!!! ๐๐ I like how MC (Calum) not interfare too much in the story (just a little is fine).. It just a pity that he's a loner, at least give him one best friend.. ๐๐ Can't wait to see next chapter.. Keep up the good work author san ๐๐๐
This is a great fanfic, the story starts out well and moves forward at a good pace. the author also merges the oc/mc really well into the world of Harry Potter without changing to much of what we all love about the hp books. hope this fanfic continues far into the future, or updates as fast as possible.
author pleaseeeeer upload more at least i say 100 chaps๐๐๐ i'm really interested in your ff hope you add more events and make inovative things here
The story is decent. Starts off like most HP stories. Real problems lie with the intent of the story. EVERYTHING is overshadowed by the authors hate of HP fanfics. it seaps into every part of this story. lots of whining and crying masked as some self righteous authority over what should and shouldn't be in a hp fanfic. he hates anything he deems not factual to hp Canon unless its his own brand of bull. as long as it fits in his narrative. Very hypocritical sometimes. if you were to extract all that from this story you'd find a decently developing story that has a bright future. but its still early and could develop in any direction. hopefully this author can let go of his hate. it ain't good to be mad! cheer up!
