No it hasn't changed. There have been a few times when she's acted this way. In the dream world when John tells her it will be horrible for her kid to live as a lamented she says even if it was worse she'd still go forward with it. She is a proper mother though. So she takes care and protects the kid. Like I said I'm trying to make the characters more obvious. I hope it's not to jarring of a change.
