is there some political police threatening the author to write something to support the country or they die or is this propaganda already in place in school they don't realise it ? I've read so much novel with the same ideology it's incredible..

Actually, debt bondage still exists, just in a more subtle way now. Credit cards? Mortgage? Yep. Those. You're not directly enslaved to the debtor. You just..... Spiral down into deeper and deeper debt, and get locked into that position. I'm saying this based on my observations of some friends.

One problem I have found with this novel is inconsistencies in year 2200 setting. The author comfortably bought AI, VR and lot of stuff saying that it is two centuries after, but the minds of the people remained the same as they are now. It is like only technology developed but people haven't.

I am completely fine with the humans not being equal thing. But the Japan stuff, come on china. I agree that they were ruthless decades ago. But currently they are just docile and doing their own things. Why will they think that china is a problem for them. That also, 200 years after.

Hahahha, I really pitty Japan here. Most novels, not only this novel made by chinese, really hated them to the point that they cursed and even wished Japan will be destroyed. I just find it funny.
