I’m actually surprised that the author didn’t praise China to the heavens, but actually came at it from a more neutral position.
As someone growing up in Canada, I learn American, Canadian and European history, so I definitely appreciate the ‘face the facts’ and ‘tell as is’ approach.
Author mentioned the Roman empire, But what about Alexander The Great and the Macedonian empire? Americans had the Maya, Aztec, and Inca empires. Not one mention of Ancient Egypt ~3100bc and it's pharaohs, Babylon ~2300bc , Troy ~3000bc, Israelites ~1000bc. Greek City States, Athens ~1800bc
Did the Mediterranean area have a philosophers Debate? Plato, Aristotle, Socrates. The MC has the book collection. Does Egypt have the library at Alexandria?
Although it's a Chinese centered story the way the author rounded off the rest of the ancient world is pathetic...
mfw author says africa is still in tribes in 2190 with their chiefs and then describes them as crazy and having a thirst for blood that's stored up over the years then calling their wars little games
Africa was not a tribal place they had lot of kingdoms end empires like the Mali empire ,the Axum empire, the kingdom of Ghana, the Ethiopian empire, the Songhai empire, the Mossi kingdom and Benin empire plus ex.....
Good development of the rest of the game world but guns and cannons showing up in America first? Europeans brought gunpowder weapons over there when they settled. If anything at this point in the game they should be using a native American technology tree.
So... it all still comes back to this? Even after applying all he knew about the game he's still trying to catch up to other countries who don't have even 10% of his knowledge about the game.. haha so if his not around and Di Shen is the spearhead of China then since the start it is destined to be colonized haha.. China is too weak even in game they are destined to be slaves since the start lol.
Gaia should have played more Civilization growing up (or at least the author should have). No matter which country you started with, everyone started in the Bronze age at best. All Generals and Civil Servants were equally available everywhere depending on player's ability to meet their requirements for recruitment. Talk about leveling the playing field, Civ did that completely.
This is one thing I hate about the author why write something if you dont know about them, other countries has historicies too. The Author has to research on other countries too not on chinese history only if you're going to write historical/Kingdom building.
Author calling Africa crazy and conveniently forgot about the following:
1.The Kush Kingdom - 2nd Millenium BC
2. The Punt Kingdom - 2500 BC
3. Carthage - 9th Century BC
4. The Aksum Kingdom - 2nd Century AD
5. The Mali Empire - 1200 AD
6. The Songhai Empire - (do not remember the years)
7. The Great Zimbabwe - 13th Century AD
These are just some of the various kingdoms Africa had. Please be reminded here that we did not mention the Egyptian Pharaohs here.
Lets not forget about the Timbuktu great library...
Great figures like:
1. Mansa Mussa,
2. Suni Ally,
3. Muhammad Askia,
4. Ahmed Baba,
5.Almamy Suluku,
6. Behanzin Bowele,
7. Cetshwayo Kampande,
8. Ezana,
9. Shaka Zulu,
10. ETC
Dont even get me started on the great wealth of natural resources.
These are just some of the facts that Gaia conveniently chose to ignore as the Super A.I
I really find it absurd that 2100s Africa still gets depicted as the land of savages.... SMH n KML!
It's funny that phillipines is one of the wolfs that author mentioned. pH is way way better than China.. when it comes to resources gold ,silver ,bronze ,iron, coal we have all of that. And he also mentioned that the map is 10 times wider than the original earth. So pH and China is very far from each other. And also when don't have our own scholars we only have foreign scholars/priest/ that came from India, China, US, Europe. So our technology tree is fcking fvcked up we can't travel by sea going to China.
