It's good that Ouyang is tackling the whole bias of race issue now because it's only matter of time before he starts conquering other races. Not to mention that he does have European allies so it would be disadvantageous to him if his officials were either biased against them or underestimated them because of racial superiority. Actually now that I think about it Ouyang has a Spanish navy general and Spanish soldiers so I guess maybe the military guys don't really care about race. Especially since the mountain barbarians have been part of the army for a long time. The only thing I am worried is what HeartFlame in his comment with the whole Japanese thing. In every Chinese light novel I have ever read if there is a chance to talk **** about the Japanese they take it without question every single time. My only hope is that Ouyang beats the crap out of the Japan military but treats the people fairly regardless of the differences their countries have had with each other in the past. If he can does this then I think he has a decent shot at being the head lord when they get to planet hope. Also if you think about it once they get to planet hope technically they are not Chinese,Japanese,American, etc because at that point they will all be starting from scratch. I kind of hope that Gaia once they get their(if we even get to read that in this novel) does not separate them based on previous Earth countries but lets the people choose their own lords. If Gaia does do this and Ouyang deals with the racial prejudices that he seems to have for the Japanese then I think he will do really well on planet hope.
I'm feeling anxious about the Japanese Arc, to be honest, I hope they don't take too far on their "Nationalism"
I still don't understand why the Chinese authors are like this, I'm pretty sure that the Chinese aren't that bad but for some reason, the authors think that this will bring a good view of them
Unfortunately referencing a movie that no-one outside of China is likely to have seen falls a bit flat. Even using it as the chapter title. The point was gotten through though that these are "do or die" warriors.
well yeah, in your country. region locking sucks. There's also the current "which 10 major streaming services are you spending a significant chunk of your income on because they all fractured the shows" thing.
Hate to say it but true men who die in vain are not really men... they are just called stupid. You want to be the first to die in a hail of bullets, a man, go ahead and charge but you're still dead and you're still stupid. Congrats on removing your genes from the gene-pool.
